  1. Just finished season 2 of Traitors Australia and it might be my favourite of the franchise so far (now got to watch NZ and make a start on Canada), or it might be behind UK which had so many iconic players and I'll always think of fondly as it was my introduction to the show. I think there was a lag around the episode 6 to 8 mark because but boy did it end on a high

Ostapenko now has four match wins against Swiatek out of four meetings. Now that we're guaranteed a new US Open champion in the women's draw, I hope Gauff can go all the way. Failing that, Jabeur.

Great to see Jack Draper through to the fourth round, I hope the period of him being injured and having to pull out frequently is behind him. Rublev will be tough but he's beaten a few top players before and regardless of how the next match goes, it's progress for him and he's the last Brit standing in the men's draw.

  5. Ahh it was nice to make the knock-out stage at least, wasn't even expecting that :D

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but...
  7. This is definitely not news I wanted :( Already makes me concerned about who/what we'll end up with as an entry next year. Not totally surprising though if the rumour is true that we ended up with Mae more because "she was available" than anything else. I hope the BBC manage to get another label/management company on board who are passionate and able to look back at Sam's success more than Mae's result.
  8. 6 please :D

I would've liked Svitolina to make the final and win, but really happy for Jabeur and hope she can win this one, it's been a great run for her (four Grand Slam champions defeated en route, three matches won from a set down).

The scheduling does seem pretty bad, but Tsitsipas going to a fifth set tie-break and then having to come back today to play Murray who's had a day off and got through his own match in straight sets (the least amount of games he's dropped at a Slam in years according to the commentary?), we love to see it Korda being out in round 1 is a big shock, but great news for Norrie/Murray who are in the same section, I expected Korda to make at least the quarters

Coco Gauff out in the first round is a big upset, had her in my predictions to make the last 8, but at the same time it's nice to see Sofia Kenin get a win after all her injury issues. Expect the men's to be Djokovic/Alcaraz in the final with Djokovic winning. I've gone for Muchova to win in the women's, had a couple of good runs before and just coming off a final at the French Open. Would love to see Rybakina manage to defend, but I'm just questioning whether she's fully fit after her recent illness.
  12. As overrated as I find "Euphoria" to be, I will still be listening x

Andy Murray's ten match winning streak (having just won back-to-back challengers on grass) has been brought to an end at Queen's by Alex de Minaur. To be expected as ADM is a good grass court player, but shame that Andy hasn't managed to get seeded for Wimbledon. Anett Kontaveit, who was ranked #2 this time last year, has announced that she's retiring after Wimbledon this year, as she's too injured to carry on playing.

Boulter and Burrage through to the final! Whoever wins will get themselves a new career high ranking, and be the British number 1 (which will feel a bit more deserved rather than Boulter currently having it kinda by default)

    Get Ika on this IMMEDIATELY!!

Ugh, a delayed start probably makes the most sense to help them out whilst the strike is ongoing, but just give us two back-to-back seasons you cowards!!!
  17. Would've liked France to be second half, I'm not mad on it but it's just nice to have another song seen as being in 'contention'. I would really like Finland to get second half and Sweden to get first half so that things are seen to be kept 'interesting' but really, whichever is going to win I think will do so from anywhere.
  18. Shame that Lithuania missed out, would've rather had them over Georgia, but on the whole really happy with the semi 2 results. Not bothered about Estonia and Iceland missing out, Poland is a much better choice
  19. Shame about Greece, the song itself has crept up on me over the past couple of weeks. Poland is serving. Wouldn't mind if Sweden's staging gets upstaged by La Zarra. I know 99% of viewers won't be aware, but Loreen's new box is quite a downgrade from the Melfest performance, and it would be nice to see the contest more open than I had been thinking.
  20. I expect Croatia to qualify next week but didn't think Buzzjack would let them in
  21. Yeah I think it'll still be a jury top 10, and hopefully that will be enough for an overall victory. The juries didn't punish Netta and her chicken noises too harshly when that was a favourite (not that the cynic in me is in any way suggesting that the EBU would say anything to influence the juries, but the likes of Hatari and KEiiNO were hardly seen as in contention to win in the same way...)

Emma Raducanu dropping out of the top 100 next week, and missing both the French Open and Wimbledon due to surgery on her wrist.
  23. 01. Which country is your favourite going into the contest? Finland 02. Which country is your least favourite going into the contest? Spain 03. Who do you think will win the jury vote? Final: Sweden 04. Who do you think will win the public vote? SF1: Finland SF2: Austria Final: Finland 05. What song is your most listened to so far this year? (Not necessarily your favourite) Finland (on repeat when it was first revealed as a UMK entry, and I always come back to it when listening to the entries from this year) 06. Which entry hasn't had much hype, but you would like to see qualify? Azerbaijan!!!! I'm taking their flag to the live show, it's now in my top 3 of the year, so underrated. 07. Which of the 6 auto-qualifiers is your favourite? The UK, quite easily 08. Which entry is overhyped to you? One which you're struggling to get why it's as loved as it is? Spain. Seen as a potential winner by many, at least a potential jury winner, but I struggle to listen to it, it's not an enjoyable 3 minutes. 09. Will we be heading back to Scandanavia next year? Yes 10. Which entry do you think will be the surprise hit of this year? Belgium - from being a NF winner that no one saw coming, to getting 40-50 points from the televote in the final, which will be a SMASH for Belgium when compared to how they've done post-Blanche 11. Who will be the surprise Non-Qualifier? Serbia, hopefully. Not a great running order, I think he's quite off-putting as a performer and it's very possible that Europe won't 'get' the song (because what is there to get? It's overhyped shit!) 12. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being not so hyped and 10 being as hyped as you can be), how hyped are you for Eurovision this year? 10!!! It's in the UK, it's less than a week away and I have tickets to two live shows :w00t: 13. On a scale of 1-10 (1 being not strong and 10 being extremely strong), how strong are the songs in this years contest? 7.5? I think there are only three (Spain, Serbia, Romania) that I would say I HATE with a passion, San Marino and Ukraine are very much meh but everything else is at least decent and I am struggling to narrow down to ten qualifiers in each semi-final (though I think with semi-final 2, that's more because a lot of the songs are mid, rather than having many that I really really love) 14. Do you think the UK will finish in the top half (1-13)? Yes, just about 15. Who do you *think* will win? Sweden. Which is fine, but if the juries rob us of a Finland win after they already robbed us of a KEiiNO win, I will be calling for their head's on a platter.
  24. I liked this initially, then the music video gave me the ick, and now I'm back on board knowing that JK hates them :D
