This is solid but I’m in the minority (although the split feels a bit more balanced in this thread) that prefer “Story of my Life” as I just enjoy that sound more and it was in my top 10 of last year. But it’s not as much of a downgrade for me as Eden or Victoria, I think after more listens they will settle at a similar level in more affections.

Really liking the sound of Eric, Efraim, Tess and The Mamas (their song sounds SO Greatest Showman) so hopefully they can be the top 4 but I'm worried Sannex might upset proceedings (probably at the expense of Tess), not sure we really need them when we've already got Arvingarna. Lovad and Clara are the clear filler spots.

11th in the final, and it was the combined winner of semi 2. That's the comparison I had in mind too When Germany came last or near last with "Black Smoke", "Ghost" and "Perfect Life", those songs were pretty boring/mediocre and I'm sure Jendrik will bring a very charismatic performance. It's better to have a marmite entry than one that everyone is collectively 'meh' about (hi Spain) and it's a bit of fun during a gloomy time, I think it could squeeze out a top 15.

Just saying that he's been a regular fixture of UK TV for years and this can't have been a huge commitment if it's only airing for six nights (if it's been filmed during the pandemic it's not like there's much else to do) so I don't see why it's such a stretch that he would take part for charity, at least this show has positive buzz ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

This is amazing. They've delivered another female up-tempo banger like we all crave, but it's far enough away from Fuego and Replay to not just be their third attempt with the same song.

I don't think it would come last in the televote, it's VERY instant and catchy no matter how annoying some people will find it and I think it will get a surprisingly decent result (surprising to the people who should take the title on board). I think this is the song I'm gonna ironically stan this year.

"Baila Baila" was my favourite as generic as it is - that, Tusse and Charlotte were my clear top 3 so pleasing to see them all progress and for justice to be served to Mustach (not just due to the sexual harassment but the song was also garbage, the worst entry this year so far). Was a toss up between Klara and Emil for the 4th spot for me, but nice for Klara to do better than last year even if the song isn't as good as "Nobody". For anyone doubting Charlotte's chances in the final, she's yet to lose a Melfest final that she's competed in and she doesn't plan to start now!

Gutted about KEiiNO, but at least it wasn't even a close vote, would've been more gutting for them to lose if it was only about 5,000 votes difference. And I can't believe that Alexander Rybak had enough goodwill nine years after his Eurovision win to take victory again with a trash song, yet KEiiNO are paid dust like this just two years after winning the televote and having an actual great song (that I've not viewed as a potential Eurovision winner, but I reckon it could've done better on the juries and worse on the televote to balance out and get a very similar finish to "Spirit in the Sky") "Fallen Angel" is fine, but I think it's quite borderline and ngl, I can see myself actively rooting for it to NQ come May just to serve them right.

Lol at Aksel coming 5th, brutal. "Dark Side" is indeed a strong rock entry, very satisfied with this and think it's a safe bet to return Finland to the final at least.

I've gone for "Scheiße" as my favourite with "Alejandro" close behind, and "Money Honey" as least favourite. I'd love them to work together again, most of their songs together are amazing with only a couple of duds, and I was a big fan of RedOne's work around the start of the 2010s "LoveGame" would've been my second choice
