Coronavirus Discussion
Pretty sure 'non-essential' retail isn't affected by tier 3? Just hospitality and entertainment/leisure venues etc.

ROUND 1: One Direction Top 10 Hits KNOCKOUT
I Don't Wanna Live Forever vs Lights Up Strip That Down vs Little Things Sign of the Times vs History For You vs Story of My Life What Makes You Beautiful vs This Town Watermelon Sugar vs Perfect PILLOWTALK vs One Way or Another (Teenage Kicks) Night Changes vs Best Song Ever Gotta Be You vs One Thing Just Hold On vs Dusk Till Dawn Drag Me Down vs Slow Hands Adore You vs Steal My Girl Live While We're Young vs Kiss You Back to You vs Wishing On a Star I had to search Youtube to double check what "For You" was  Upon the reminder, it's amazing but "Story of My Life" is something else The hardest cuts were "Perfect" (fab but "Watermelon Sugar" is peak 1D solo), "Night Changes" (THE hardest decision here but I do tend to side with a bop) and "Just Hold On" ( sorry Louis, but Zayn is at his best when there's a female vocal on half the track)

SOUNDCLASH #35: Wildest Dreams vs. Delicate
I've always found Wildest Dreams a bit overrated and have just voted for it the past few rounds out of default. I much prefer Delicate so hope there's finally a change coming!

ARTPOP survivor ● round 10
I've gone for Applause because it's expendable and Venus needs to stay, but looks like my attempt is futile

France (C’est vous qui décid) · Eurovision Song Contest 2021
The TV schedule for the last week of December has seemingly revealed the first five acts to be Casanova, Philippine, LMX, Ali and Barbara Pravi. Barbara Pravi co-wrote Junior Eurovision entries "Bim Bam Toi" and "J'imagine" so expecting excellence from her!

QUICK FIRE QUIZ - THE RESULTS!!
Very happy with a top 15 position given the amount of people who played :D And I knew I had The View and Nena right but I thought I'd gone more early 40s on Madonna so pleased to see I took a guess that was bang on. Didn't know the Whitney song nearly well enough to know that one so I went for the amount of guests Rita Ora had at her dinner party a week or two ago when breaking lockdown :P Thanks for running this Chris, would love to see more quizzes like this in future.

Coronavirus Discussion
Yeah I feel like making a big deal about giving it to Philip especially could be playing with fire Take away the fact that she's the Queen, she's a 94 year old woman, she'd be very near the front of the queue anyway..?

Gaga SINGLES KO • round 3
Yasss at Paparazzi hanging in there Marry The Night <-> The Cure Rain On Me <-> Paparazzi Poker Face <-> Bad Romance Alejandro <-> Dance in the Dark Shallow <-> The Edge of Glory Alejandro would be my winner in three of the other duels :drama:

WEEK 9 - QUICK FIRE QUIZ
Just done this! Was only confident on one, but now listening to a song that was mentioned, it sounds like I made a lucky guess and got at least two :D Yes, I think it would be fun to use the same site for doing Family Fortunes or Pointless tbh with a time limit, so people have to say one of the first things to come into their head as opposed to using Google for the best answer or a loophole etc

Round 3: End-of-Year Number 18 SURVIVOR
I didn't realise that "Sex On Fire" had already been in until it was pointed out last round. I hate it anyway but I think that makes it even more deserving to go.

Kylie Wines
I've managed to try all three types over the past couple of months. I'd say the sauvignon blanc was my favourite but I'd buy both that and the rosé again (in fact I bought a second bottle of the white yesterday). The merlot I thought was disgusting and just about managed one glass.

Michael McIntyre's The Wheel
This isn't as iconic as Danny Dyer's The Wall, but still an essential Saturday night/Sunday morning watch for me already Loved the diverse range of questions last night from music to....sewing :heehee: I might've struggled on the Billy/Billie question but him thinking that The Weeknd had the most weeks at #1 in 2019 when he didn't have a #1 until this year was a frustrating moment  :banghead: Also I know next to nothing about football but growing up near Sheffield, my instinct was to rule United out straight away so take that Emmanuel :coffee:

ARTPOP survivor ● round 9
I've just voted for Sexxx Dreams. I like it, all the songs I dislike/am not fussed about have already left now, but the other songs are just better. Especially Venus.

Estonia (Eesti Laul) · Eurovision Song Contest 2021
The other acts revealed were these Karl Killing – “Kiss Me” Egert Milder – “Free Again” Rahel – “Sunday Night” Sissi – “Time” Alabama Watchdog – “Alabama Watchdog” Kristin Kalnapenk – “Find A Way” Tanja – “Best Night Ever” Heleza – “6” Uku Hasma – “Kaos” Suured tüdrukud – “Heaven’s Not That Far Tonight” Kadri Voorand – “Energy” Ivo Linna, Robert Linna, Supernova – “Ma Olen Siin” And all songs are now available to listen to at this link! The first one I've gone to check out is Uku Suviste in case the Estonian public decide to give him a proper chance and it's not amazing, but I'm feeling it a tad more than "What Love Is"

Sweden (Melodifestivalen) · Eurovision Song Contest 2021
@1334045135399645185 Was Iz on the selection panel this year? FFS you've already been given Mustasch Dotter's song being titled "Little Tot" is a tad concerning

Gaga SINGLES KO • round 2
The exact same choices as mine and we both named the same pair as the toughest battle - QUEEN of TASTE!
-
Gaga SINGLES KO • round 2
Happy that Paparazzi made it through fairly narrowly but noooo at Venus going out in one of the closest battles  The Cure <-> A-Yo Shallow <-> Telephone John Wayne <-> Bad Romance Rain On Me <-> Born This Way Million Reasons <-> Marry The Night Paparazzi <-> Poker Face The Edge of Glory <-> 911 Do What U Want <-> Alejandro LoveGame <-> Dance in the Dark 'Do What U Want' vs 'Alejandro' was tough as both are incredible so I'm siding with what I assume is the underdog, 'Shallow' and 'Telephone' is close as they're both very solid without being her very best for me. The other decisions I made quite easily.

Sweden (Melodifestivalen) · Eurovision Song Contest 2021
"One Touch" is giving me a 'deserves to win Eurovision but will instead be robbed and come 5th in the heat like Margaret and Klara' feeling
-
Sweden (Melodifestivalen) · Eurovision Song Contest 2021
Official artist announcements kicking off tomorrow at 7am, one per hour, with nine reveals tomorrow and Wednesday and ten on Thursday :drama: Why drag this out when the rumours are normally almost entirely right (still, at least it's not one per day like a Melfest advent calendar :heehee:)
-
SOUNDCLASH #30: Wildest Dreams vs. Look What You Made Me Do
Oh god I missed two rounds of this and Wildest Dreams shouldn't have won either against those two masterpieces :drama: But it should win this one
-
Round 2: End-of-Year Number 18 SURVIVOR
Poor co-writer of "Better Love" by Katerine Duska, he did not deserve this. Going for Kings of Leon again

Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2020
Based strictly on performances I think it was very much the right top 2. France was just so joyous and although Kazakhstan wasn't one of my faves in studio form, they went all in on staging and I was shedding a tear with her. France really deserve after a trio of brilliant entries

Cyprus · Eurovision Song Contest 2021
CyBC have today revealed the artist behind Ryan's upcoming favourite Eurovision entry of 2021! The team behind 'El Diablo' is Jimmy Thornfeld, Laurell Barker, Oxa, and Thomas Stengaard. The song will drop at a later date.
