Both runners-up from last year being out in the second round :o The final set of Medvedev vs. Tien was a thriller. I expected this to happen as he's such a non-shock for an early exit, and his opponent won the NextGen Finals last month, but I didn't think Fonseca would then go out the following round
  2. Someone has been telling lies about the release date of MGP entries...and I think it is eurovision.tv!

I've had a Cineworld Unlimited card for over 10 years, got it as soon as I moved to London, and I grew up with Cineworld being the chain in my hometown. There are four branches in London that I can get a direct train to, my nearest is Wembley but that one only tends to show the big releases as they do a lot of Bollywood/South Asian releases as well and it only has 9 screens. I've started going to Leicester Square more frequently as most of the screens (aside from the IMAX and Superscreen) have only 3-5 rows of seats and I've been liking the intimacy. My nearest cinema though is actually a Vue and I've been a few times over the past year as it's good at showing the smaller releases and sometimes is just more convenient with the times and how close it is. £6.99 for the cheapest seats at Vue isn't bad at all, and I've recently upgraded my Monzo account to the Perks tier which gives you a free ticket for Vue each month, so I think I'll be making use of that whilst still getting my moneys worth from Cineworld. I prefer to take snacks/drinks to the cinema to save money (or not to have anything at all - I'm more selective with what I go to see these days so don't feel like I need any snacks to help get through what will ultimately be a rubbish movie), if I do get popcorn it's more often toffee or salted caramel. But I'm team sweet over salted, okay with a mix but I would never get just salted.

I don't foresee a good season for him if this is how he's starting the year :basil: Six Brits making it to the second round (with Boulter and Raducanu both winning today) is a new record for the Australian Open! Got a couple of days off work so will finally be able to watch some tomorrow, nice to see that Draper round 2 has been scheduled for a night session

How well did the previous Sonic movies do? (I realise this may very well be included as part of the full write-up anyway). I didn't realise it was so popular as a movie franchise! I've not bothered with them, thought they look a bit naff and I don't have the same attachment to Sonic as a character as I do with the Mario series. It is nice seeing such great numbers over the past few weeks, but the downside of so many huge movies being out at once for me has been that smaller movies such 'Nightbitch' and 'Queer' haven't had a look in. The former wasn't showing at ANY branch of Cineworld in London during release week, I had to go and see both at my local Vue. Really annoying when I have a Cineworld membership, like what was the point of expanding the O2 branch to 19 screens
  9. The public f***ed it themselves Enjoy Christmas everyone, we'll be going into lockdown early next year :(

I've got some bad news - this is both longer (only marginally) and slower. :kink: I quite enjoyed the first two 'chapters', but the third one once they got to the jungle, I started to wonder wtf was going on. And I think it should've just ended with the Daniel Craig was very good (and Drew Starkey very pretty), but overall nowhere near the level of "Challengers" or "Call Me By Your Name" for me (although the fact the same director has released both the former and this movie in the same year feels wild, they're so different).
  11. Not quite on the level of the first two, but still a very worthy entry in the franchise, I'd say it's like an 8.5/10 in comparison to the first two being 10/10. Emily Mortimer was good, but that cast change did feel a bit odd. I didn't feel the believability that she cared for Paddington or her family, because girl, you've only just met them! The ending with Paddington getting to was so emotional  And I loved all the bears being named after tube stations/areas of London!
  12. Jack Draper Lando Norris Keeley Hodgkinson Alex Yee Luke Littler Luke Humphries Bryony Page Toby Roberts Tom Pidcock Nathan Hales
  13. Me at every Eurovision party from this point on DJ play my favourite musica
  14. We've had a few instances in the past where a song being available/performed before the 1st September deadline hasn't resulted in disqualification, as it's been judged that it wouldn't have had a significant impact.....but hopefully RTCG are aware of how shit the song is and grab this opportunity to get rid whilst they can xx
  15. I couldn't get into this much at all, which didn't surprise me as the trailer was pretty rubbish, but a real shame considering that I really enjoyed the first movie. Such a drop off in quality. :( The highlight was the chicken. It's amazing to see how well cinemas are doing over the past few weeks (my screening of this was pretty packed on Friday afternoon - it had me wondering how so many people seemed to be off work, and the kids not at school ), but it makes me a bit sad that this is both outperforming "Wicked", and breaking records such as 'biggest ever opening for an animation', when there are so many other animated movies that deserve that record a lot more. The mediocrity doesn't need rewarding.
  16. I'm very confused about how everything online seems to suggest the trailer only dropped today, but I definitely saw a trailer at Vue just over a month ago   Excited to see Leo Woodall in it
  17. Will give this a go! Is there going to be any kind of criteria to determine whether an answer is 'correct' or 'incorrect' to driver you consider a flop / to be the worst you've seen?
  18. That #1  Tasteful as always
  19. Mostly interested in the return of Anna Sahlene *.* She is going to run away with all the votes, she will be a champion Tommy Cash appears to be a bit of a name, having worked with Charli XCX, as well as Little Big and Käärijä, and the co-writer on his entry was involved with "Cha Cha Cha" so I guess that would be the early favourite on name alone (and knowing that Estonia tend to like shit that they see as """fun""")
  20. I'm completely obsessed with "Born With a Broken Heart", it's fantastic (and he looks so good in the video as well). Hoping that it can gain some momentum and become a hit. He performed it on Jimmy Fallon in the US, so that feels like the label are going for a bit of a push
  21. I knew it wouldn't be "All Fired Up", but couldn't think of anything else, so nice to see that it's worth putting down even an outside shot. I did think of The Jam for Q2, but was convinced that the animals had to play in there somewhere, and perhaps even raspberries (since there were some outside of the jar as well). Not disappointed to miss out on Queen, as the woman in the picture wasn't giving me queen at all. Looks nothing like our Lizzie (rip).

I can't believe that Luca Guadagnino is blessing us with a second movie this year following "Challengers" (which still remains my favourite movie of the year so far) eknj5_0tF2s
  23. Good, because do I want to be listening to anything that involves Becky Hill? I've been asked before and my answer hasn't changed, it's a resounding no x

Draper through to the final in Vienna, will face Karen Khachanov. Looks like he'll be climbing to a ranking of #15 no matter the outcome of the final.
  25. "My Best Friend's House" is a total bop, I've listened to it three times today. I also really liked the Castrati sketch, so I might check out the others tomorrow.
