  1. Annoyed that it's tonight when I'm going to McFly (which I swear was the original date -_-), but excited by this announcement regardless! Nice to see that they're doing Wembley Arena as well as the O2 - not just because it's much closer for me, but it will be nice to see them somewhere that's not quite as massive, so I think that's the date I'll aim for tickets for.
  2. Well this is a song title that catches my attention, will peep on Friday
  3. Seeing this tomorrow afternoon purely for Gaga, not really looking forward to it now after reading what everyone's been saying and considering how long it is, I get annoyed at a runtime over two hours even if a movie is good . Don't consider myself a Joaquin Phoenix fan either as he was the lead in the worst film I've ever sat through at the cinema, and I've never forgiven even if that was about ten years ago. But maybe I can find some good in it as I love a courtroom drama, and musicals. Not seen the first Joker movie and I'm not sure whether that will be a good thing or not (on one hand, I won't have something else to compare it to, but maybe I won't be able to follow it enough) Loool at someone trying to downplay the critical success of a movie that was the most nominated at the Oscars ceremony it was a part of.

NLG2X-f4Xqs Another song that feels like it takes two or three listens to really digest, but such a good follow-up, and loving the cameos in the video!
  5. This is SO catchy, I'm really enjoying it! Moreso than 'Forget About Us', which was just okay (not listened to 'Tears').
  6. 84PGKvnTYHc Anyone ever fancied a Robbie Williams biopic where he's played by a monkey? This looks like the stupidest thing to ever exist, but it's actually 86% on Rotten Tomatoes (after 22 reviews)

I feel like I'm the definition of 'faint of heart' and shy away from anything involving blood/gore, but I'm planning to see this on Wednesday as the word of mouth is crazy and from what everyone is saying, I NEED to see it for myself. Will just take a bag of sweets as a distraction, and a large bottle of water in case I feel myself getting a bit clammy
  8. After 2023 gave us Benjamin and Robin, Isaac Elliot is all I need to complete my wishlist, so can this rumour please come through :cheeseblock:
  9. Can't say I'm kicking myself about any I missed, don't think I've heard of The Lovin' Spoonful. Coldplay is clever, and I get why people would've put "Christmas Lights" as I was convinced it was a Christmas song, but couldn't work out which recent one would fit. I never thought of what they were watching as a 'play', looked like a nativity to me. The bonus questions were all a fail to me. Boo to the couple of people who missed the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, that was the first one that clicked with me and I thought it was the most straightforward of 'say what you see', there was no mistaking the chilli peppers!

Surprised to see 'Lee' open with roughly double the takings of 'The Critic', I thought the latter was getting a much bigger push! It was one trailer that I felt like I saw every time I've been to the cinema over the past couple of months.
  11. Entered. Think #5 and #17 are my favourite clues. Can't wait to find out the answers to the few I had no idea on! Didn't expect to get so many, but it's not too hard once you start to really think about what the images are showing and putting words together in your head. Would love to see a future edition as it was really enjoyable to play, very creative.
  12. Thanks for hosting, Wardy! So many people including myself, kicking themselves over not simply adding a '2' to the end of their answer for the Nicki Minaj question Fwiw, I like it when a round of Pointless includes a question or two that has very limited possible answers. Aside from questions where a loophole might be left open, I see it all as pot luck no matter how many possible answers - I mean, who was expecting "All I Want For Christmas Is You" or Sabrina Carpenter to both end up as pointless answers :D

The first man since Daniil Medvedev in 2020, to reach this stage without dropping a set. Very good going, and will see him break into the top 20 next week. I hope he can put up a decent fight against either Sinner or Medvedev, take a set out of whichever one he ends up facing, even if the expectation is that he'd lose to either.

Where do I order this on CD? So many amazing songs, impressed with the amount of Melodifestivalen and Eurovision twinks, but also plenty of tracks that I've not heard of and will need to check out asap based on the quality of the songs I do know! Even songs I don't know by artists I do (perhaps I'll recognise "The Dirt" when I play it, but not one that jumps out by title, so interesting choice for Benjamin Ingrosso  Also that Isac Elliot song better be worth it to be included over the absolute masterpiece that is "New Way Home")
  15. Two pointless answers in a row :o Was happy with just one, and very pleased that I decided to go with Mariah over Wham out of the incredibly obvious options
  16. I'll focus on being top half, and not that I'm towards the bottom end out of those with no incorrect answers so far :P

Great performance from Draper. Thought it was going to be a close match from the first two or three games, but then he just ran away with it. On the women's side, really pleased for Muchová to have another good run after missing so much of this year, and Bjork must be happy about Badosa.
  18. Looks like I did the most common thing of starting from #40, and working up the positions whilst checking Polyhex  Should've continued that little bit further.

Earliest Djokovic exit at the US Open since 2006! This better not be Zverev's Slam now
  20. JoJo Siwa tour dates Saturday 17th May - Basel, Switzerland

I was very confused by the figure for Kneecap before reading the commentary  I'm planning to see it tomorrow, but it only seems to be on at three or four Cineworlds in London, and only two or three times a day at each of those, so makes sense that Irish takings are included in that.

^ I got home at the exact point he turned things around in the decider, incredible comeback Emma Raducanu meanwhile is still yet to win a match at the US Open since winning the entire thing :(

The longest match ever at the US Open was just won by Dan Evans! He was trailing 0-4 in the deciding set, had breaks points against him in the fifth game, but managed to reel off six games in a row to take it 6-4.
  24. This is the most instant of the three singles for me, so I hope it can manage to match the #1 peak of the other two at some point, even if not this week Watched the video a couple of times and not once did my mind link it to recent real life events until coming into this thread  God the reach
  25. Well done Jay, wasn't rooting against you really, just had to shoehorn in a GA single (one that I didn't even go for :kink:) Happy with my result, I went for "I'll Stand By You" as it felt like quite the emotional moment during the recent tour which I thought could sway things as a fair few on the site went to it. "See The Day" definitely wasn't a consideration for me - I didn't realise it was a cover until now!
