  1. The staging for "Zero Gravity" was flawless, I'm surprised that it didn't score better with the juries. Looking back, how did it not landslide the jury vote in the manner that "The Code" did this year? "Hold Me Closer" had perfect staging at Melodifestivalen. Wasn't quite as tight at Eurovision, cheers Italy. HB_GnnhNz-8 I've always thought this had excellent lighting and use of pyro. It was one of my favourites pre-contest, but the live elevated it further and I believe that 2010 had the perfect top 2, with the best song winning and the best staging being runner-up. Bambie Thug will go down as one of the best, but we shouldn't overlook Ukraine this year. Putting the face of an artist up on an LED screen has never worked well before, but Jerry Heil did *that*.

7IJRrveINqk Anyone else watched the UK answer to Selling Sunset that dropped on Netflix last week? I started off by thinking that Rasa was the villain of the show, but I started warming to her in the second half and by the end it was definitely Oli. Why on earth would Juliana be interested? He isn't attractive in the slightest, that was a very confusing storyline. It looks to be performing well in the UK at least (#2 on Netflix behind Bridgerton) so I hope we get a second series, there was enough drama, enough focus on the glamorous women, and I liked Daniel as well. More enjoyable than Selling the OC, even if I'm not quite as invested as with the original show yet.
  3. I didn't expect my happiness at Lando winning his first race to be topped so quickly, but a Charles victory in Monaco
  4. What a great end to this countdown, Silvia Night is an absolute classic for me, I love everything about "Congratulations" 2013 is a toss up between "Marry Me" and "Glorious" for me. The latter was definitely my favourite at the time of the contest, but I'd more often go back to Krista these days. I'd be up for seeing the Melfest equivalent of this countdown, I could make some nice discoveries from it as it's only really since 2012 that I've followed all the heats.

Not Nadal vs. Zverev being a first round match-up Earliest loss for Nadal at Roland Garros incoming? Of course I'd love for him to defeat the evil, but Zverev just won Rome
  6. Based on this, I'm glad that there aren't any male-only acts appearing in the countdown :kink: "Satellite" remains my favourite winner since I started following the contest  I'd say that "This Is My Life" remains my favourite Anna Bergendahl entry from Eurovision/Melfest as well, now that's an unpopular opinion but I really love it. I'm glad she was able to return to Melodifestivalen and get a redemption arc. With "This Time" making the top 15, I'm curious as to what you think of "Stay" by Monika Linkytė?
  7. Some very good songs in this countdown, including some very unjust non-qualifiers. "Lako je sve" and "Verona" were massive shocks for me when they didn't make it through. "Story of my Life" is so much better than "Maps" for me, it's sad that the latter is the one that Lesley actually got to compete with (although realistically I think her vocal was the biggest hindrance) Hope "The Social Network Song" is top 10 :D
  8. Wasn't sure whether to revive this thread or create a brand new one, but thought it would be funny to look back and see that it's finally on the way, eight years after this thread was made :D Now with Jon M. Chu ("Crazy Rich Asians" and "In The Heights") as the director 6COmYeLsz4c Cynthia Erivo has really gone onto such big things, I can't believe that I first saw her in the failed X Factor musical back in 2014
  9. Fulenn, EAEA and Ulveham were some of the worst entries of their respective contests for me, so I'd be very happy if the West steer clear of these types of songs in the future. I didn't buy Norway as such a safe qualifier as everyone else, but I'm still surprised it came last in the final. The televote result for 'EAEA' was justice, that was just a really unpleasant listening experience.
  10. I never really went back to this as other songs stood out and appealed to me more, but very bizarre that two members of the UK jury somehow thought it was the worst of the night and ranked it last
  11. When the Moroccanoil partnership was announced in 2019, it was a five year (or contest - hopefully the 2020 contest getting cancelled isn't relevant) deal that seems to expire this year  So hopefully we'll have a new, non-Israeli sponsor from next year as I feel like that's a big factor in them not taking any action on Israel at all
  12. This ended up being my second least favourite, after the Estonia racket. Just feel nothing from it at all. Not Norway ending up with pretty poor results the two years when KEiiNO have come 2nd in MGP :kink:
  13. This was really spoken into existence My favourite winning entry since 2010  And I think I'll claim it as my favourite winning, as it was top of my rankings right up until the last week when I'd counted it a bit out of contention and was throwing my weight behind Ireland and Croatia
  14. Got Switzerland at 22/1 on the day it came out, and made £113. Think this was my first successful Eurovision bet since an each way on Bulgaria in 2016. Think Liam may have done even better from this win?
  15. Come on Bambie!!! I can see that some people have been won over
  16. Croatia winning would hopefully bring Montenegro and North Macedonia back. I'm glad Latvia made it through or else I'd be worrying. Australia could be out unless they can get a sponsor or label to fund it maybe, and I'm wondering if Azerbaijan care anymore, they seem to be putting in low effort.
  17. Sweden's position in the running order was drawn at random Both 2010 and 2011 had voting open from the start, so I don't think it's that much of a big deal. At least this year it's only for the final, when we have already seen all the performances by now.
  18. Semi 1 10th: ??? - 48pts 11th: Azerbaijan - 40pts 12th: Australia - 27pts 13th: Slovenia - 25pts 14th: Moldova - 19pts 15th: Iceland - 17pts Semi 2 10th: ??? - 43pts 11th: Denmark - 36pts 12th: San Marino - 34pts 13th: Estonia - 31pts 14th: Israel - 26pts 15th: Albania - 11pts 16th: Latvia - 5pts Which means the final qualifiers are Serbia and Czechia! Have to say I was surprised at how close Azerbaijan came to getting over the line
  19. The penultimate qualifiers from each semi if I've not lost track Semi 1 Semi 2 Finland and Georgia, you can now relax, you've made the cut
  20. Semi 1 12th: Australia - 27pts 13th: Slovenia - 25pts 14th: Moldova - 19pts 15th: Iceland - 17pts Semi 2 12th: San Marino - 34pts 13th: Estonia - 31pts 14th: Israel - 26pts 15th: Albania - 11pts 16th: Latvia - 5pts Sorry everyone, but it wasn't to be for San Marino
  21. Not many spots left, but these two have made it in Semi 1 Semi 2 I'm not a liar, Cyprus are through along with Norway!
  22. Adding to our qualifiers Semi 1 Semi 2 Luxembourg and Malta, Buzzjack said yes to mid girl bops!
  23. Whilst I'm on my way to Eurovision, let's send some people home from Buzzvision x Semi 1 13th: Slovenia - 25pts 14th: Moldova - 19pts 15th: Iceland - 17pts Semi 2 13th: Estonia - 31pts 14th: Israel - 26pts 15th: Albania - 11pts 16th: Latvia - 5pts
  24. Not out of the competition yet Semi 1 Semi 2 A witch and a raver!
  25. Jason doesn't like it so the only reason other people do must be because of the war x Can we get two more qualifiers please Semi 1 Semi 2 Portugal and Armenia, you're in! Any surprises for people so far?
