I have to agree with the disappointment at DNCE's album position this week. By far the best and most diverse album of this week's highest profile acts. Metallica's album is way below par for anyone, let alone an act of their standing. Bruno's is more of his generic nonsense and the majority of Little Mix's album is little more than a screechy-shouty-fest. I wasn't expecting to like the DNCE album as their singles have been something akin to novelty tracks, but I was pleasantly surprised.

I kind of agree with this sentiment, except that I find their current single, "Guilty Flowers" to be annoying. I much preferred their previous track, "Carry You Home". Ward Thomas seem to be right at the pop edge of country music, which likely explains the success of this album.
  3. Only last week's number 41 limps into the top 40? So sad to see the chart dying but it was obvious that this was going to happen.
  4. All I know is that Adam Ant is on tour at the moment. Some friends of mine went to see him last night.
  5. Surprised at James being #1 in the album chart, on first listen it sounds a little bland to me. Also disappointed to see Primal Scream outside the top 5 on the update, it's far better.

I wouldn't go that far, though it wasn't as good as I was expecting. There didn't seem to be a flow to it :(
  7. Worse still, the tracks which held it at bay at numbers 9 and 10 are musically and lyrically inept :(
  8. Original members posting here are saying Chico "It's Chico Time" but that was week ending March 11th, so it wouldn't have been number 1 on 7th March 2006? I make the UK number 1 for us Madonna's "Sorry" - a vast improvement! And Beyoncé feat. Slim Thug "Check On It" for the US chart.
  9. Again, if we're talking as part of a group it would be St Winifred's School Choir for me with "There's No-one Quite Like Grandma". Solo artist took a lot more searching as a lot of acts had number ones who were slightly older than me, but I finally tracked down the "classic" *cough cough* from Peter Andre with "Flava" in September 1996.

I'm expecting The Best Of Bowie to be somewhere in that top 3 - so a posthumous top 3 and Adele sliding 1-4.
  11. Like Cremey, I have a playlist of new songs that I listen to while working, so it can happen, albeit rarely.

This. Could they have sucked any more life out of the track with this dire arrangement?

I was pleasantly surprised too, especially seeing her about 7k ahead of 1D
