The Almost Saturday Charts w/k ending 3rd Apr 2009
Caramac  Don't remember an Anytime Bar. Twirly Wurly? I remember Curly Wurly...don't they still make those? I remember a...was it called Wham bar or something? Sickly sweet, sticky bar dotted with zesty sugary bits...weird, but very nice :P Oh...music...? Ahem. I agree with Robbie, I didn't mind the pseudo-reggae circa 92-93 either, it was quite fun. I think Noisettes massive lead over GaGa on iTunes will see them just sneak the top spot tomorrow, and indeed I hope they do...far better and more original than the stuttering Just Dance part II.

iTunes Chart // Early April
A person of the same mindset as whoever wrote Asher Roth's lyrics about being drunk and getting girls naked, thinking that would sell the song. Of course, because Asher Roth is "new" he's (unfortunately) getting away with it, whereas Nickelback don't have a hope in hell.

Girl,14, faces child porn charges for posting nude pictures
She's a minor...why aren't her parents the ones facing court? And whilst the sex offenders register is a good idea on the face of things, this kind of incident simply makes a mockery of it.
-
1988
I was going by Rob's proviso that this charted higher in 1994...it's one of my all-time favourites.
-
Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden - Bonkers
I guess some people are referring to it as "alternative"...maybe, I dunno... I was reading the CoolClarity thread in The Lounge earlier and reminiscing over the time that I stood-in and compiled the Indie/Rock/Alternative chart there, a number of people were charting Jamiroquai. It's one of those subjective things, I suppose. Personally, I wouldn't (as is evident of my earlier post in this thread!). Might be interesting to "sound out" why people think it fits here?

Political correctness strikes yet again
I still think Only Fools And Horses is good...although it lost it's way a little with some of the later episodes. David Jason IS a great actor, he isn't a scriptwriter ie. he's not responsible for coming up with funny things, so why would you expect a startlingly new great joke of the century?

Political correctness strikes yet again
Except anyone ACTUALLY named Angus, of course... /me is of Scottish extraction btw!!!
-
Dizzee Rascal & Armand Van Helden - Bonkers
Indie/Rock/Alternative = Dizzee Rascal??? Ummm dance/©rap/pop maybe...generally musically/lyrically inept. Disclaimer...that isn't to say that I think rap = crap ... there is an abundance of decent rap music available ... I'm referring to Dizzee's material to date. Edit: Having heard it, I think it's OK, nothing great though, I don't get all the hype over it at all.

Political correctness strikes yet again
Completely ridiculous - just trying to get some publicity for their Radio Station, I guess. I'm sure there would have been no outcry to the Paddy Fields variation of the joke or even the version aimed at one of my middle names (not saying what it is tho! :P ) . I don't listen to that radio station anyway...too many ads and chat for me to bother with.

1986
I wasn't a great fan of theirs...but Respectable will be coming up in 1987

Röyksopp 'The Girl & the Robot' // 25-05-09
I agree with the Pitchfork review. I was really disappointed with Happy Up Here, it was formulaic Royksopp, nothing different from their previous material, but The Girl And The Robot is very different and...so far...I like it!

iTunes Chart // Early April
They were also in the Live Lounge with Jo Whiley this morning. I thought their performance of the single was awful...so bad in fact, that I switched radio station! They then did a passable version of TI's Dead And Gone though.

iTunes Chart // Early April
Not Fair sounds like kiddie-pop to me, a return to the style of the music from her first album. Her voice doesn't suit it at all. A real shame after The Fear was such a promising start from this album. Can't disagree about Poker Face though...
