  1. Tough choice last time, but easy this time; Pet Shop Boys - Just Dance was OK, but what's all the over-excitement about Poker Face?
  2. It's easy to have that sensible view when you're sitting at a computer typing in a nice, safe environment, but I think if I actually saw a mugging happening my emotion and anger would run so high that I'd just have to step in...after yelling to someone else to call the police, that is!
  3. I like them both, but Love Etc is marginally the better of the two
  4. Yeah, loving this, much bigger sound from The Enemy and nice to see them taking a change in direction unlike many other groups just now. The versions on youtube (if they're still there!) aren't very good quality and don't do the track justice. Very much looking forward to the album.

I disagree. When Sugababes came along with Overload, there was nothing like it around at the time...it was groundbreaking. Girls Aloud have just been spoonfed a number of (admittedly pretty good) pop songs and performed them. And since overload, Sugababes haven't really done anything that could be termed groundbreaking either. They're both just "nice" pop girl groups and unless their songwriters provide them with anything that is groundbreaking...or they manage to come up with something themselves...then it isn't going to happen. In fact, they've probably been warned away from doing anything too groundbreaking as to not alienate their fanbases. Yes, but unfortunately, as many people have said before...could you imagine listening to a whole album of her voice? Nice as a one-off, but I think after a few songs, it would really grate on me!

  11. I don't generally enjoy listening to music at too high a volume level, but for one album there was an exception - Fat Of The Land from Prodigy - I reckon I must have really annoyed my neighbours with that...although no-one complained :D

Well, I didn't want Leon to win, he was too stale. Whilst Rhydian certainly had more talent, I couldn't imagine much worse than listening to an album of his...I was surprised that when he did release an album it did as well as it did, but not surprised it has quickly faded into obscurity. Same Difference were just a joke...but bless them for trying! I can't remember who I wanted to win from that series, but they certainly weren't in the top three. Certainly there was a lack of promotion for Leon and only the record company will know the real reason for that. Good luck to him in whatever he does next. I think we're going to see a lot fewer big stars emerging from these talent shows. The beginning of the end for X-Factor? How many more series do you think it has left in it? I'd give it about 5.

Absolutely awful - being hyped all over the place - not least of all by Radio 1...I can see them A-Listing this soon  <<isn't there an "ouch, my ears are bleeding"? :P It'll be sold on the basis of the lyrics of being drunk and getting a girl naked at a party...sad really. And I bet we never hear of the follow-up about the girl crying rape the next day, him too hungover and sick to remember anything, the girl finding out she's pregnant and then either having to have an abortion or bring up a poor kid that was really unwanted and basically ruining all their lives.. Meh, maybe a slight over-reaction, but that doesn't excuse this p***-poor excuse for a song. Many people have been comparing this to Eminem, but Eminem mostly refers to the consequences and has something of a tune to go with some well-crafted lyrics. This doesn't even come close. Please don't add a poll, I'd be loathe to hit the button to admit that this awfulness will probably be a #1.

Good to see this starting to do as well as it deserves. It just baffles me why Radio 1 won't playlist this, yet they happily added U2's latest poor effort. I've liked Papa Roach's previous material, I hope this is as good...or better. Not sure from that title though!
  18. Heard Obsessions for the first time today - what's with all the artiness on the vocal? It takes away from any kind of emotion that's supposedly conveyed. I guess it's intended as the gimmick to sell the product. Not overly impressed on first listen...maybe a grower...

I've not heard either of those Eurovision songs yet, but I find it quite amusing that the Norwegian song enters the Buzzjack chart higher than the UK song, when the vast majority of posters here are from the UK. And there are still two months before the actual contest, if I remember correctly?
