“Always Where I Need To Be” is the highest peaking hit for the Kooks, reaching #3 in April 2008, though it didn’t have the longevity of “Naïve” or “She Moves In Her Own Way”. It was the lead from their second studio album “Konk”.

  3. I get a mixture of oldies and current stuff, some of the stuff I had the other day:

    Yellow - Coldplay

    Breakeven - The Script

    Sailor Song - Gigi Perez

    Torn - Natalie Imbruglia

    People Watching - Sam Fender

Every Breath You Take - The Police

Birds of a Feather - Billie Eilish

This Charming Man - The Smiths

    Pink Skies - Zach Bryan

    Africa - TOTO

There She Goes - The La’s

A rather palatable list of auto picks I’d say!

“In My Place” was the lead single from Coldplay’s 2nd album, “A Rush Of Blood To The Head”. It reached #2 in August 2002, which for many years remained their highest peak for a single.

  5. I also needed to listen to “Amber Waves” a couple of times to be on board but I’m there.

    That’s my #1

The Amazons #2 - a good old fashioned anthemic rock tune

Franz Ferdinand #3 - this wouldn’t be a bad Eurovision pick at all in my view, though not a winner

Even though they had been going since 1982, Primal Scream did not get their highest charting hit until May 2006 when “Country Girl” reached #5. It is the only time the Scottish group have reached the Top 20 this century.
