Do you think this album will sell well? He hasn't really had any huge, career-defining singles since his last greatest hits and Shame is a bit of a wet fish lead single-wise. I don't think I'm going to bother getting it personally as I have his first GH and all the albums since, and I would assume a lot of people will be the same.

I don't think it will have the longevity to sell as well as those songs. Patience and Rule The World were in the charts for absolutely ages and still re-enter at the lower ends of it every time they make a major TV appearance or when they're played on shows like The X factor. I think Shame will drop down quite quickly, especially once The Flood premiere's and starts getting all the attention.

How is two men singing a song to each other inappropriate? It's not like they were having sex on stage for christs sake & they're both married so it's not even like it's a real romance. Two men showing love for each other, whatever is the world coming to!? :rolleyes: They're number two in the midweeks and they're behind by quite a large margin. I really thought they'd be getting the top spot easy :o

I'm watching it by the UK pace so I'm still on season 7 but I was so happy when I heard they were bringing back the title sequence. It was a huge mistake getting rid of it in the first place IMO.

I actually really like it, I think it suits her better than the stuff on CBT.

They've cocked this up BIG time. The second single should've been sent out months ago, as soon as the CBT single and album started falling down the charts.

It's a really good song but a bad move releasing a cover as his first 'proper' single I think. If they haven't been able to write or find a great original song for him to release then it doesn't look very hopeful for the rest of the album. I wonder if there'll be any more covers on it?

Are the songs on the CD live? I saw the ad a couple of times this evening but we had family round so it was pretty hard to hear but am I correct in thinking they were live on the advert? Edit: Just re-read the article on the Daily Mail website and realised the majority are live. I'll definitely get it then :)

Spiceworld is great! I mean it's bad but it's highly entertaining, funny, full of nostalgia and it was made at exactly the right time when they were on top of the world. It really does capture the (admittedly short-lived) phenomenon rather well and it's hard to imagine a pop group doing it today, let alone a girl group. The critics took it waaay too seriously.

Those songs should definitely have been included on X. Not only are they awesome (the two we heard on tour) but I think people were really expecting the album to be a bit more personal after everything she had been through and it was lacking in that department.

It's ok, quite generic sounding though which is a real shame after ATL.

Turn To Stone

It's pretty strange they weren't re-released sometime during the last decade, I mean Kylie hit the peak of her success with the Fever album and she's remained huge since so you would've thought they would have wanted to cash in with them by now, especially with all 4 original albums being quite tricky to get a hold of (at least they were when I brought them around 2004ish, I'm not sure how easy they are to find now). Instead though we just kept getting the same old Greatest Hits album repackaged with the tracklisting slightly altered.
