  1. Let's hope so!
  2. I really don't think they do. They sound crap live and on the records their voices are so heavily autotuned and processed that they all sound like the same person. Despite all this slagging off I do like them though
  3. I brought That Don't Impress Me Much on tape as a kid and practically wore it out. What a classic! Got her GH album last summer and I've been enjoying it ever since, she's done some really great stuff that I had no idea about.
  4. I reckon that's what the international tour is for. It's damage control. Getting her out of America's public conciousness for a few months before the release of a new album later in the year. It's definitely needed.
  5. I think it's a bit OTT to be saying her career could be over already. She's only 18 and has had one underperforming album. Now HM is over & she's no longer bound to Disney she just needs to figure out where to take her music next.
  6. I'm not holding out much hope for their second album. They started off so good but they're so amazingly dull and unoriginal that I can't really see them lasting much longer.
  7. Apparently Every Rose Has Its Thorn is still going to be released as a single, I think a duet version with Bret Michaels. Maybe it'll be successful enough in the States to reboot the album.
  8. Have you seen she's going back on tour? It starts next month and is apparently going to visit all the places she never or rarely performs in (i.e. no USA or Canada). Hopefully she'll come back to the UK though as her last tour was so successful here.
  9. Sad news :( She was great on The Circus tour and to think it was less than two years go. 64 is pretty young these days.
  10. I didn't see a lot of the later stuff last night but on the whole I thought it was possibly the worst Comic Relief show I've seen. The only two things that had me genuinely laughing was the Geraldine/SuBo duet and the James Corden sketch, though that was due to the amazing amount of celebs-I can't sand Corden.
  11. Fake That wasn't as funny as I thought it was going to be :( The best bit was the end when they were in their old Do What U Like gear. And they should've performed Kidz or something, hearing Happy Now twice in the space of 45 minutes diminished the effect of the video a bit.
  12. Ahh I see, thank god!
  13. The video's terrible!
  14. I like the video much more than the song. Max is endearingly idiotic in it.
  15. I think if the singles are done right and are promoted enough it could have quite a lengthy chart run and decent sales overall. It seems like the only people who are unenthusiastic about this album are the record company
  16. I don't either, it is a great song but I'm surprised how much people seem to like it above all the others. I love Stop Standing There atm.
  17. Managed to grab the last copy in Sainsburys this morning :funky: On first listen it seems the first half is really strong but the second half is a little boring with most of the songs sounding pretty similar. Overall I'm really pleased with it though and I think it'll be a real grower over time.
  18. I love 2 Hearts but yeah I agree it definitely wasn't a great lead single choice, especially after she had been away for so long.
  19. I can't believe it's finally out tomorrow, it seems like we've been waiting forever. I'm gonna get up extra early and go get my copy before college & I can't wait
  20. The bit at the end about Robbie is probabaly quite true actually
  21. I loved X when it was released and I still love it now. It has it's flaws but as others have said it was full of killer tracks and potential singles, something which Aphrodite lacks. Out of her Parlophone albums it's just behind Fever for me.
  22. I thought the Better Than Today promo was awful. It had a crap video to start with, so that didn't help, and while she did some high profile TV performances they were scattered all over the place with no real effect. What the hell were they thinking booking her to perform on X Factor weeks before the single release? She should've been on the day before it came out. And tbh I'm not surprised the album didn't take off as well as people thought it would. It was a good album but pretty run of the mill and uninspired. She needs to come back with something really fresh next time like she did with the Light Years and Fever albums a decade ago.

Now that I look back on it it does seem strange that I was into that song when I was just 6 but for some reason I was absolutely obsessed with it. I think because we had a copy of The Immaculate Collection at home which we listened to all the time, and Frozen was the first time I was old enough to really pay attention to what she was currently releasing. I didn't buy another M record until I replaced our worn out IC cassette with a CD copy in 2002 though.

I can't believe it's been 13 years! Frozen was the first song I ever brought, I was only 6 :D March has been a great month for Madonna releases. So many classics; Singles: Lucky Star (1984) Like A Prayer (1989) Vogue (1990) One More Chance (1996) 4 Minutes (2008) Albums: Like A Prayer (1989) Ray Of Light (1998) Like A Prayer is both my favourite Madonna song and album.
  25. It's now £1.99 if anyone still wants it. I haven't brought anything Madonna related since Celebration. I can't wait for her next album!
