  1. I really like Jason's voice and it really suited Wooden Boat. I'd love to hear him sing more stuff like that. I don't think he's better than Rob or Gary though, I agree that Gary's voice is a bit generic sounding but I think Robbie's is quite the opposite. Mark always amazes me with his voice, I know lots of people hate his tone but it's incredible how much he's improved over the years. Listen to The Day After Tomorrow from Nobody Else and then listen to What Do You Want From Me? from Progress. It could almost be a different person.
  2. After hearing him sing live, all I can say is thank god they did! Just kidding but seriously what is he on about? He was only in a bloody boyband. It lasted five years and left him super rich, he has nothing to complain about.

Weird. It sounds suspiciously like a Jonas Brothers song which is, funnily enough, also called Summer Rain:
  4. I really like it, it's fun and different. Mark just looks like a little boy playing dress up though
  5. You can see the vid on their official website from 8pm apparently.
  6. Vid should be quite good. It looks really interesting.
  7. Are you deaf by any chance?
  8. I think it was due to there being 3 physical formats; a 2-track, a maxi-single and a DVD. Plus if you brought all three from Play.com (the tour sponsor) you got them in a special cardboard sleeve. I seem to remember my copies turning up on release date but the cardboard sleeve turning up on its own in a jiffy bag months later   I think the next single will be a new track, it should be due around May when the tour starts which is the perfect time for a new single and the Progress Tour Edition.
  9. This thread is now pointless isn't it?
  10. Although I prefer Take That to The Beatles I don't think Take That are in anyway better. But I really don't think The Beatles were the greatest thing to ever happen to music. There's a lot of $h!t in amongst their brilliant stuff.
  11. I actually do think that Kath :heehee: I like The Beatles but god they're the most overrated act in music history :P
  12. As far as performance goes Take That and Madonna are two of the most amazing shows I've seen.
  13. My CD Single came this morning, which I was surprised about as it was only sent thursday. I quite like Rocket Ship, it's not bad for a b-side and sounds a bit Bowie-esque towards the end. I agree though that it doesn't really suit Gary. Maybe it would've suited Mark & Robbie more.

With any luck she'll take Cher with her.
  15. Has it really been ten years since they split?! :o
  16. I loved them since the very start and I've got so many memories attached to the early days of GA; I still think Popstars: The Rivals was the best Popstars/Pop Idol/X Factor series ever, it was such a great twist on the format and so exciting. I remember watching it every week then voting for all of the girls apart from Sarah on finale night, and then trying to vote for her during the ad break when she was in the final two. I've still got the official book and DVD somewhere and it still makes me laugh to think about how obsessed with the show I was. I also remember coming home from school a couple of days later and my brother telling me he had taped the first play of SOTU off the radio. I thought it was such an incredible song and played it constantly over christmas. Then No Good Advice came out just before I went on a year 6 trip to the Isle of Wight for a week, so I took the single and played it to death on my CD Walkman. The album followed the day after I got back and was played throughout the summer which is when me and my best friend (who was just as obsessed with them as I am) saw them live for the first time at Party in the Park '03. The second and last time I saw them live was later that year at that Christmas In Popworld show they done (did anyone else go to that? It was pretty good if I remember correctly). I followed them right up until 2009, buying all their albums and singles, but now Cheryl Cole gets on my tits so much that I go for ages without listening to them as I just can't stomach anymore of her. It's a real shame :(
  17. The Spice Girls said the same.....all throughout the seven years they were gone. I think it's over for them now :(
  18. Tbh I don't think that performance will do a huge lot for the song. It wasn't a 'wow' moment of the show and seems to be one of the less talked about performances of the night.
  19. It's bloody ridiculous they didn't. Their performance was good but it could've been better. I think it takes them a few performances of a song to really nail it, like their two XF performances; the second was far superior to the first.
  20. I can't believe they didn't win Best Album at the Brits. Surely that's a joke
  21. I've just ordered my copy too. This leaving the promo until the very last minute is either gonna do wonders for the single or result in a huge flop. I suppose the idea is that it won't linger around in the bottom half of the top 40 for weeks before being released and getting a weak top 20 placing like most 2nd and 3rd singles from albums these days. Hopefully all the promo and hype from the Brits and the video will mean a decent chart placing next week.
  22. It's not a bad song, just very run of the mill and very boring
  23. It's OK but she's trying so hard to create an era-defining gay anthem that it's almost embarassing to listen to.
  24. So now it's not TT at all. Weird.
  25. The artwork for both Progress singles has been crap. We want some cool new photographs!
