Excited for the album next week, have liked all the songs so far, although Wild Long Lie hasn't clicked with me yet. Just want to echo what a few people have already said, Remember My Name is a song. A stunning emotive piece of music captured so simplistic with the brass band - wow.

And of course a lot of Republicans and far-right adore Putin, the rich get richer and nobody bats an eyelid and it's always somebody else's fault. America is about to turn in to that and Vance's speech was a deliberate attempt to influence elections. The mid term elections will be interesting. Suspect the way the serious politicans will fight back will be targeted tarriffs that hurt the back pocket the most.

And if you watch this speech, clear as day who is funding the shite spouted and what their agenda is too. The US is literally unhinged right now. Irony of Vance telling Europe we've lost democracy, when this current Government wanted a coup. f*** those arseholes. Outside of Israel and the oil states none of those are diplomatic allies though and certainly not military allies if the US decide they want a war in the middle east, outside of Israel. The UK will not want to piss America off, but I'd be absolutely shocked if they want closer ties at the moment, America under Trump are way too unpredictable and that is not good for business.

It's a tough one really - I think as people have already pointed out Putin wasn't always like this. But the Kremlin became obsessed with the idea of the old Republic again. The issue is, Russia is an enemy of the West, on one side you can argue that NATO and the US were funding Ukraine to morally defeat Russia as while they have some clear advantages, they are going to be forced to be China's long term ally and likely bitch moving forwards. The issue is (what Trump and MAGA don't see.. or just don't care) that Putin or whoever replaces him isn't going to stop. Russia will go for Ukraine again at some point and then what happens if it goes for the baltic states? Dangerous game to play.

Because ultimately Ratcliffe is a businessman. Suspect the large part of it is any growth directly connected to Old Trafford or a new stadium is what really peaked up interest. I think naively he suspected the football costs would be lower too, or at least the club would be consistently in the Champions League. It's been happening for a while, we've not really had any new talent cross over to America on a huge level since Dua Lipa in 2020. There's a bit of a dearth in British superstars at the moment, which is probably down to TikTok. Even look at the big American acts to come out recently outside of Chappell - they're all Disney stars or massive neopolitism products!
