Justin Bieber - SWAG
Justice was about 21-22 tracks I think with the deluexe versions. Reading a bit more about this and whose rumoured to be producing, seems like a real mix, but definitely expecting way more Trap/Rap vibes. Convinced this will either be insanely good or a piece of shite. Read that this is more a set up for a Pop album in 2026. Wonder if he was trying to get out of a contract with Def Jam?

Do we know whose producing it? Doesn't sound like a pop album going from the song titles and features. Reckon this might be way more like Changes.

The Russia Political Thread
So either Trump is playing an amazing game of 4D chess or he’s just 6 months behind what everyone with a brain of how the Kremlin operates is doing? Don’t think the US administration comes out of this looking well at all.

Summer Transfer Thread 2025
Sounds like Gyokeres wanted Arsenal, but Arsenal's top choice was Sesko before the deal became too expensive and complex, and the player was keeping his options open (e.g. flirting with Utd), but Arsenal were his top choice.

I won't lie, I did double take when I saw this 😂 What a comedown. I needed a laugh after the past few days with football. No way anyone can convince me this version of Calvert Lewin is an upgrade on anything Man Utd don't already have.

Arsenal have confirmed Zubimendi, looks like they are not too far away from Gyokores and rumoured to have agreed personal terms with Madueke. Sesko looked to be their first choice, so I wonder where that deal went wrong..

Love Island • Series 12
Fun as always, but you’ve only really got 4 couples in there (and arguably 2 strong ones) so I’m expecting a lot of fodder to be brought back. I do actually wonder this year if they may do the if your partner recouples and you don’t, you’re out. Yasmin, Giorgi, Ben, Conor, Billykiss and Shakira are all pretty much single. Not sure the producers see much value in keeping many of them around for much longer outside of Shakira.

Oasis
I'm surprised they didn't add a few more from Heathen Chemistry or The Importance of Being Idle but also not too shocked either. This is a crowd pleasing set and looks like they have the energy, they're looking and sounding great, excited for Heaton Park! Supposedly this has been in the works officially since 2023. Crazy how they kept it under wraps for so long, especially with the Adidas merch too.

Seems like a transfer of convinence. £5m fee! Think he will do OK, he's clearly experienced and if Burnley play a solid shape then it covers for Walker. Not a bad signing to be honest.

The Reform Gammons and Hot Air Ltd thread
Absolutely hilarious. The people administering the Party obviously want it to seem legitimate, but the more it does this, the more it basically becomes the Conservatives. Incapable of commanding power if this and the Council stuff shows with their current pool of candidates. Makes me laugh as unfortunately the people who vote for Reform can't even begin to imagine they are being manipulated by a group of wealthy & powerful people.

Liverpool Supporters Thread
Absolutely mad. Found out first thing this morning and my first thought is it was one of those weird death hoax’s. So glad the football community has come together and the Liverpool statement is pure class. At the heart of this, there’s a family here which have lost their husband, children and father. Feel so sad, puts everything in to perspective, just married and 3 young kids. No idea how a car that bursts its the ends up in flames though, pretty sure something similar happened to Reyes in Spain too. RIP Diogo.

Squid Game • Season 2-3
I thought the themes explored were really interesting - and while it's been known for ages the Squid Game universe is expanding- I took this ending as a nod to even though the Korean games were destroyed, capitalism still exists across the world and others are being exploited. I enjoyed Season 3 a lot, I thought it left a satisying ending overall - but agree with some other comments. The games are clearly the highlight and it felt the games were the side piece here. My one gripe as well, was in Season 3, if you get past Hide & Seek most of the plot points became utterly predictable. Season 2 had some great twists and I felt we lost a lot of characters the audience cared about or rooted for way too early in Season 3. In the final game there was nobody to root for or even an interesting moral dilmemma. The Hide & Seek game ended up being a bloodbath, but felt by the final game outside of a few characters, the rest of 100s gang were just cannon fodder. Overall I enjoyed it, excited for the extended Squid Game universe. Think the people involved in that are high quality so I can imagine them making a good go of it.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025
Rodri won't be back anywhere near his old levels until 2026, if at all. The data in ACL injuries show that if you have an ACL at a younger age, you can usually make a full recovery, but from mid 20s onwards it takes the body longer to heal. Not sure enough is being made about City - even pre Al-Hilal, Pep's press conference was weird. He was almost getting his excuses in for another poor season potentially on the horizon. Ultimateky them being allowed 2-3 weeks off will help them in the longer term next season, but most clubs start their pre-season next week and City players will obviously have a 3 week break now.

The Official Labour Calmer Steering Thread (mk III)
Panorma did a great programme on this a few weeks ago. Was all really basic stuff, but it just proves what huge mess we are in. Debt is on the increase and the cost of state funded income is increasing as well. Labour have done a lot of good things actually. I don't think Labour are targeting people individually- the problem we have is we're at a loggerheads.. everyone wants more state funding but nobody wants to pay for it. Look at the power of the Pensioners. The reality is even though tax rises are likely needed, they are political suicide, especially in this current climate. So there's not really any easy answer really. This is an issue any goverment is going to face in to and like you say, even if Reform promise the world, the Markets will tank them if they come up with a magic money tree. I think the issue at the moment is Reeves is obviously structured and has red lines and no pragmatism. It's not an easy job, but clearly we are a bit up the shit creek.

OPINION POLLS 2024-2029
I'd be shocked unless the the Tories and Labour go in with their current leadership.

They've signed Kostoulas from Olympiakos if memory serves me correct. Suspect he plays a fair amount.

Summer Transfer Thread 2025
Not sure, Liverpool like him, so there must be something in his data. Not sure he's quite at the elite level, but he's definitely a good player. Just weird as I think he looks his best in that #10 role rather than as a lead striker.

Summer Transfer Thread 2025
Such a strange club. They seem obsessed with finding these young players who they can stockpile. Guess Glittens is the Mudruk replacement who they'll pay off. There's not too many left wingers on the market. What is more bonkers is the Joao Pedro chase!

Glastonbury 2025
It's very funny. Load of people who hate people having fun and the BBC using the opportunity to cry wolf about something they wouldn't have even heard about otherwise.

FIFA Club World Cup 2025
Did any games get stopped in the last USA World Cup? So is it climate change or we've all become less risk adverse? FIFA don't care, although it does pose an interesting question. Certainly there will be a lot more media uproar if/when this happens next summer. You'd think similar to how the Condediration Cup worked, they'd learn a lot about this for next summer..

Probably one of Michael Evis' last requests. Unfortunately up against Charli xcx and Scissor Sisters at the same time.

Glastonbury 2025
He plays a character! Could tell they put a lot in the visuals and asthetics of the show. Thought the setlist was fairly safe. Was hoping they might play a fan favourite that they never end up playing. Would love to see the video of the jump during The Sound. The show they did at Finsbury in 2023 still gives me goosebumps when I see videos of it. A lot of fun when you've had a few beers.

Summer Transfer Thread 2025
Most of the deals these days have add ons, suppose it depends on what those add ons are. Should be stuff like CL qualification, appearances etc. but if it’s “win CL” that’s bonkers.

Love Island • Series 12
Was surprised the producers let Megan go as her and Connor in a couple would have been good for Casa. That said, they can’t have been too bothered. Think part of the show was to highlight to Harry and Shakira that they’re not popular so they’ll be tempted to veer off each other.
