  1. Pretty much every massive Western bellend who'd sell their Grandma for a few dollars was there in attendance today. Tells you all you need to know really. All the big companies smelling great ways they can make money, not to mention Gianni Infantino. Then it's actually embarrassing to witness the likes of Fox, Farage and Braverman proclaiming fawing. I wish people would remember we're not actually American. Anyway in classic Trump style, he'll talk a lot and say things on emotion. Not convinced this idea of starting a period of isolation is going to work. Everyone needs friends.
  2. All of this is easily solved though with a proper football structure. Let’s take Liverpool as an example, now we are at the extremes as we are very risk adverse when it comes to transfers, but we buy players who fit the ethos, or who we could flip for a profit if they don’t work out. That’s not to say we don’t make bad transfers still or everyone is super frustrated when we don’t buy players when there’s an obvious gap, but our success rate of transfers over the last 10 years is insane. What’s even more bonkers is you had a football structure in place, then Ratcliffe chose to ignore it! I think Amorim is a bad fit because if he gets his players and it goes wrong, then you’re back to square one again. Plus with the optics in the transfer market at the moment, you either have to massively over spend or look for the next big thing. I totally agree taking Hojlund as an example it was a bad move. He needed another year/two at Atalanta to see if he progressed. But I also think that summer was a bit of fomo. If I remember correctly Haaland, Isak, Vlahovic, Kane, Nunez all moved within the last 12 months and there was a bit of max thing about strikers.
  3. There's loads of different players though now, it just shows that it doesn't really matter who the manager is imo, I think the bigger part is culturally. Loads of players picking up huge paychecks. Pretty telling that in good results, Man Utd have just by-passed the midfield and played percentage football. Weirdly I think if you'd gone for someone like Marco Silva or date I even say.. Southgate - they'd work better with the toos. But the issue now is Man Utd have a manager who is not pragmatic and entirely wedded to his formation. Part of the issue of throwing most players under a bus, is it will take 3-4 transfer windows to get rid of people!
  4. This stuff will be his undoing though, he thinks he will be popular with the Gen Z crowd, but Trump also does want China to overtake America. So he'll try and make some massive concessions and judging from Twitter, Musk wants Twitter to be in China (never gonna happen). A deal was always going to be struck, but this is the sort of issue where Trump will want to be popular but he also won't want to be seen as weak. When not sure if both can happen tbh.
  5. Not sure what his game is to do this in public - can only assume it's because he wants money. But he has some cheek when he's playing 7 defenders every week. But I'm all for it for making the players and fans suffer!!! On a more serious note, I just can't see how this ends up well.

City were always going to get the Champions League places, they have too many good players and are capable of stringing a run together. Still don't think "they're back" by any stretch though - but their next block of 4 league fixtures will be interesting. Sounds like they're going to get off on a lot of the charges too judging by how they're signing players and Haaland has basically commited his career to City..
  7. I did say! Got very lucky against Southampton, the game changed when Dibling went off. Think United will back Amorim and it may work out as he can build a functional team, but there's so many bad players at United, just not sure how you get rid of them.
  8. Definitely feels like a huge win today, that's the first 90th minute win under Slot. We've been OK recently but our finishing has been really poor. Not even sure we're that good, but we're by far the most consistent. We'll definitely slip up, but Arsenal will too and a 6 point buffer is huge.
  9. This ceasefire deal sounds like it won’t last though. So be interesting how it gets spun.

He’s great. Really feel like we’ve more of his ilk in the cast this year. There’s some rumours going round of what the twist is going to be next episode.. sounds like they might be throwing the advantage back to the faithful!

And yeah Joe is absolutely awful. I think he might beat Meryl for the most useless player as well  The casting is defintiely off this year. Whether that's the players playing being more aware of twists etc. who knows. I just think we lost a lot of good characters early on and we were left with a lot of people who are similar to each other. We're missing a lot of witty/light hearted character. I think someone like Keith may have been that person - but it is interesting how the older contestants never make it that far in the game. I know the ratings are good, but think out of the 3 UK series, this has definitely been the worst so far.

They've 100% gone for Jake - there's only 7 left now and 3 episodes left, you'd assume there will be 5 in the final, so not too sure how the final week is going to go now.
  13. Newcastle United 3-1 AFC Bournemouth (12:30) Brentford 2-4 Liverpool Leicester City 0-2 Fulham West Ham United 1-1 Crystal Palace Arsenal 1-1 Aston Villa (17:30) Sunday 19th January Everton 1-0 Tottenham Hotspur (14:00) Manchester United 1-2 Brighton & Hove Albion (14:00) Nottingham Forest 1-0 Southampton (14:00) Ipswich Town 0-3 Manchester City (16:30) Monday 20th January Chelsea 3-2 Wolverhampton Wanderers (20:00)
  14. More likey they're on the end of PSR, so selling Garnacho is "pure profit". Clearly sounds like every player has a price.
  15. No policies for 18 months/2 years  They're in a full crisis mode at the moment, going to get wiped out by Reform. The move for them is to move back to the Centre ground with a right-wing edge, but they won't take it. Surely Badenoch is gone by the end of 2025, she is useless.

Reckon they go for Joe/Jake - I hope it's Jake as that would really shake things up. We haven't had a good breakfast scene this series and I think everyone would be suspicious of Alexander again. At this point it's mostly about having the most allies.

She can pull it back, but at this stage it's all a bit pot luck really and you need some good fortune. If you're a traitor then getting rid of Leon, Leanne or Alexander is not a smart play at all. All will have heat and all will come under heat again, I think the same with Freddie. The smart play is probably to get rid of someone like Alex. if you're a good traitor then I think a lot of the 'useless' players can be easily manipulated. One thing I would say is in the UK series I've watched, I've yet to see a good Traitor whose been recruited. You have to play the game entirely different and spending that much time with people, people can sense if something is a little bit different.
  18. At first I thought this too, but have you read Geoff Payne's testimony? Bascially sounds as if Liam was a full blown addict, who was aware of this and was trying to be stable. He gave up his phone and the only way Liam was contactable was through a third party. The whole set up he had with his associate sounds dofgy AF, almost like someone was controlling him and his estate and slyly taking advantage of the fact he was an addict in a subtle way to make money through his partner. Who knows exactly what happened, but it's pretty clear someone let him get high and was controlling his life. All those cringe social media posts make complete sense now.

As long as they keep the central defenders fit, I think they are a lock. Just struggle to see many other teams putting the run together, but it's a fun season. I'd be surprised if Murillo isn't snapped up by a Top 6 club in the summer, think he's the one with the highest ceiling.

7 points ahead of Arsenal I'll take that. Slightly worrying Liverpool have hit a patchy run of form, but we were way better in the second half and should have won. Those Champions League places are wide open though, wonder if 63 points might get Top 4/5. Certainly think at this stage 70 points gets you Champions League.

Completely different leagues. Just don't see it myself. Proof in the pudding will be against the teams you're supposed to beat I suppose. Plus I reckon the other thing to consider is the style of football is terrible. The fans will be fine for the next 12 months, but like with Mourinho, when the bad results come, the wind quickly sways.

Problem is, this style of football is fine against big teams, but imagine playing Everton or Forest who will just sit in a low block. Just don't think at Old Trafford you can have a 5 man defence as you are constantly relying on counter attacks and winning a counter press or teams making a mistake.

I mean, Arsenal should have battered you. Reminded me a little bit of the Liverpool game last season. This game just showed exactly what I think of Man Utd under Amorim so far - quite good defensively, but can't put any attack together. Most of Man Utd's goals under Amorim have been through Trent forgetting he's a defender or opposition players making mistakes. Good result and take the satisfaction of being in the next round but let's see how they get on against Southampton.

Libby was awful and I suspect Dan suspected it when Minah threw him under the bus. Tonight was the best episode this series. Not sure why Leon decided to go first in the game though- rookie move.
  25. Same reason people moan why the economy won't grow, take all their news from someone on Twitter who once read a book.
