  1. It builds a narrative though, that's the danger. I actually think Labour have done a really good job of biting back, although I do think the spin doctors need to realise we're playing by different rules these days. Problem we've got is the 'new media' has no regulation so it's lawless out there. The State f***s up loads, we have countless piles of evidence that they have, as have multiple authorities you only have to look at the Blood Scandal, Hillsborough, Post Office to realise this. A national enqury will take 3-4 years and I'm not sure it's really needed or what it actually delivers.
  2. Tuesday 14th January Brentford 1-2 Manchester City (19:30) Chelsea 2-1 AFC Bournemouth (19:30) West Ham United 1-0 Fulham (19:30) Nottingham Forest 1-2 Liverpool (20:00) Wednesday 15th January Everton 0-2 Aston Villa (19:30) Leicester City 1-3 Crystal Palace (19:30) Newcastle United 2-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers (19:30) Arsenal 3-2 Tottenham Hotspur (20:00) Thursday 16th January Ipswich Town 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion (19:30) Manchester United 2-1 Southampton (20:00)
  3. He's fearful of the online safety bill and likely wants to use us for Space X. Absolute deplorable twat of a man whose got no friends. What a loser.
  4. He said the players needn't get carried away (or words to those effect). Which is true. While I don't think we played well, we still created a lot of good chances. I know everyone goes on about the Maguire chance at the end, but the Virgil header was way closer. That was the big chance. It's easy to get up for the big games where there's nothing to lose, but no point putting in a good performance if you go and stink the place out the following weekend against a mid-table team. The attitude of Diallo at the end summed it up for me, scores a goal and walks around with the match ball at the end thinking he'd scored a hattrick until someone told him to stop being a melon and put the ball down
  5. Looked like it was offside though, but would have been close. It was a classic Man Utd performance - raised their game and played well. Think everyone (pundits, crowd, players) just thought we'd turn up and win. I think if you take the emotion out of the game and look at it holistically, Liverpool did have the better chances throughout and created way more, but we were definitely below par today. The passing was all off and we were losing duels all over the park. Amorim's post match interview was mad tho.
  6. Musk has turned on Farage  Grab your popcorn.
  7. In a way it's kind of good that Musk has become unhinged. He has no idea about British politics and he's not well liked over here. Plus he's associated himself with Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, whom even the Reform leadership know is poison. Farage knows you can't ever win an election without winning over middle England. It tears the far right apart and always will put Reform in an uncomfortable position, which they can't shy away from. Plus of course, like most idiots of the Far Right, Musk is a classic example of wanting free speech, but detests when people actually use free speech.
  8. Yep insane.. I missed the final but Littler has been so consistent throughout, his checkouts are SO good. Exciting time for the sport, loads more money will start flying around now. Guess the big think will be how Littler handles all the even bigger sponsorship deals now etc. but he's clearly got a great support network.

I think there's a twist with the 3 coming back though. I'm convinved at least one of them is a bit of a producer plant. Good episode, the Harold Shipman quote from Kaz was iconic and really enjoyed the challenge. I find the cast a bit more unlikable this year as a lot of them clearly have a strategy. BAut just chucking away the money was dumb. Linda surely is up for the chop soon, can't see her or Freddie surving too much longer. And surely if they have any sense the other sister would be murdered! Think they'll go for Hannah though.

Seen both eps so I'll put episode 2 in spoilers. I wonder why they went with such a big cast, but the same amount of episodes? Wonder if that means the final might be 5-6 people in it to make the "twist". I actually think the twist makes ot easier for the Faithfuls to win. but not sure they are ruthless enough, so it probably means it's easier for the Traitors. Ep 2

Saturday 4th January Tottenham Hotspur 2-3 Newcastle United (12:30) AFC Bournemouth 2-0 Everton Aston Villa 2-1 Leicester City Crystal Palace 2-2 Chelsea Manchester City 2-0 West Ham United Southampton 1-0 Brentford Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1 Arsenal (17:30) Sunday 5th January Fulham 2-0 Ipswich Town (14:00) Liverpool 4-1 Manchester United (16:30) Monday 6th January Wolverhampton Wanderers 1-1 Nottingham Forest (20:00)
  12. I think the danger will be, if they play expansive football, then we'll have loads of space on the counter attack. But clearly they're going to play Ugarte, Fernandes and probably Garnacho.
  13. Would be classic football for you to pick up a result! If this was Ten Haag he’d have played conservative, but you feel Amorim will go for 352. Can’t see it being a big score though, but you’ll have to be superb defensively to stop us from scoring, we’ll definitely give up chances and Quansah at CB for us is definitely a weak link at this moment in time.
  14. Amorim actually saying relegation is a possibility
  15. They could genuinely get relegated. I am doubtful it will happen, but they are so bad. They don't have the players for this 352 formation, the players look lost. United played much better after the Mainoo introduction, but I think Newcastle had another gear to go in to if they needed to. Everyone will cry the squad needs investment - they've spent a ton of money. At some point you've got to ask yourselves that buying players isn't the answer. I personally don't think they've nailed down their footballing structure. It would be absolute classic for Utd to come and get a win at Anfield at the weekend - these things usually happen.

Newcastle are in good form at the moment. City will likely find some form at some point. Villa could hit form to, albeit they are inconsistent at the moment. It's so wide open that all a team needs to do it hit 4-5 wins together then they're back in the mix. Loads of teams are able to do this imo.

75 points isn't going to win the league - Forest look good for a European spot. I'm not convinced they'll get the Champions League places, but it really doesn't look like their form will drop off at all.
  18. No shock at all. The first of many times this will happen.

Don't think we are mocking Haaland at all - Salah maybe, although I think it's just the experience running through. There's ages to go yet, nobody thinks the title is won yet.
  20. Loved it - really is amazing how the franchose stands the test of time. It properly did feel like a sequel to The Wrong Trousers (not sure if was intended or not intended..). Thought the Ant & Dec pun was absolutely genius!
  21. Been this way for some time though and now you have a manager who doesn't even have the players to suit his style. And then even if he did, nobody really knows if he would be good enough. There is some absolute dross in that squad though. Biggest concern I'd have is they can't attack, but they can defend a lot better. Genuine relegation form though, like City at the moment.
  22. That's twice in about two weeks Utd have conceded directly from a corner

Read the reviews and now we know why there is a Season 3  Sounds like Season 2 is all very much a set up for the finale.

  25. Yeah you're not going to be able to turn an economy round in 6 months. It's easy for people to lay blame to the rise in NI and use that as an excuse to manage the PR (Shoe Zone is a great example of this). The moves Labour have made are long term. The key to unlocking the economy is letting the lower earners spend, it's why I feel giving higher earners tax cuts is going to be bonkers. That money is not going to be invested back in. I don't think it matters who is in power, the economy is fuked for a while when we have such high levels of retirement age vs working population and lower birth rates. Problem with the latter, is while the likes of alt-right rightly point to this, I'm not sure the factor is as simple as they make out. And of course the elephant in the room is fecking Brexit which hampers our economy massively.
