Well, let’s see how he does. Still so many questions imo like why didn’t Man Utd go for him in the summer? And it is strange that a lot of top clubs passed on him in the summer too. There’s a low bar there but does seem very shiny new toy at the moment. His style is 3-5-2 which I’m not really sure suits the current squad.

Clearly the strategy is the pummel money in to the NHS, which in turn means more people ready and available for work and not eating in to unproductivity in the workforce. Yeah the private sector might moan about NI increases, but this might be off set by the savings the businesses make through people who are able to work, be back to work sooner. I get the bit around the £3 bus fare, but all these little small things all add up. Personally, I think the fuel duty freeze is a big win. It's OK at the moment, but drivers are at the mercy of oil prices. Prices are fairly low at the moment, but all it takes is something politically outside of our control for prices to go up 25-40% fairly quickly.

Date I say it.. an actual decent budget which I think fits in the manifesto and doesn’t quite fall too hard in to the traps the Tories left? Obviously some things not great like cuts to all department budgets but not really sure what can be done without tax rises. The big win for me is the tax thresholds coming to an end in 2028-2029 I think. Seems the perfect opportunity for Labour to push through a ‘tax decrease’ ahead of an election..

He’s a good manager for sure but you had Liverpool, Bayern, Chelsea, Barcelona all have vacant managers positions in the summer, and he was known to be on the market as shown by his trip to meet West Ham! So it just seems strange Man Utd didn’t go for him in the summer. Wouldn’t worry too much about Utd signings.. think it’s shown they just buy the wrong players :lol: Yet to be convinced this new footballing structure actually has a plan in place imo. Almost seems like there are too many decision makers.. reminders me of the fabled transfer committee under Rodgers!

Would end up being very much like Mourinho/Tuchel. Think he'd make you hard to beat, but goals would be hard to come by looking at how Sporting play.

Surely Ineos need to be getting more stick here? Terrible decison to keep him in the summer and an even worse decision to not sack him during the October international break. Sounds like a group of people who have absolutely no idea what they're going. Not even sure who has total accountability within that footballing structure either..

Without wanting to speculate, pink cocaine (which looks like Liam allegedly took) can make people hallucinate. Could be something as simple as he had a bad trip, was locked in his room and tried to get out.

We did well today but Arsenal are still better than us imo. What's pleasing is this team still has a lot of growth in it and even watching us today, I can see where certain additions in areas will really helps us. We certainly are taking less risks than under Klopp and managing games differently. It's pleasing, but let's see where we are by the next international break, we've some really tough fixtures.

All the statements are heart breaking. It just goes to show you how frigging massive they were, their cultural impact across the world is like something I'm not sure we will see again for a long time. Makes you wonder how huge the inevitable reunion would have been. As I thought, they'd all release a joint statement together which stops any speculation. Grief is so frigging complicated and I would imagine they're all handling it in different ways, especially since I think at least half of them live in America these days. Thought the tribute from Louis was really touching too.

This is exactly what I suspect will happen. Suspect as well privately they will want to respect Liam’s families wishes and know everyone will want them to make a statement. Suspect they will go as a collective 4 rather than individually. But they also need time to grieve and process the news too. Certainly feel they collectively had different levels of closeness. From what I understand Louis and Zayn cleared their rift but not sure what how things were left with the others. But they’ll all know the importance of collectively in this moment, or their PR teams will.

Reading a few reports that the police are alledgeing it was death by suicide rather than an accidental fall. So frickin sad.

Super shocked too. I know he had his struggles and clearly in terms of his solo career he's been the least successful (and horribly managed in that 2007/2008 era) which did have an effect on him. He got slaughtered over the last week so maybe that has had an effect. But RIP Liam, gone way too soon.

Sounds like the only job that will tempt Klopp is the German national team role. 18 month contract for Tuchel allegedly which starts 1st Jan 2025 and sees him through the World Cup cycle.

Need to really get in to the remix album, but I absolutely love it so far. I just enjoy how much she changes up the songs, gets people to display raw & emotional feelings and completely turn the dial up. What an era from her. I might say something stupid is.. utterly beautiful. The production from Jon Hopkins is stunning. That emotion from Matty on the song is something else, it really does feel like Charli & George brought that side of him back out again.
