There's still a chance for Rachel if she stays. If her and Stephen vote in a pact and Stephen can persuade Jack, then the move is to take Faraaz out. Ultimately the edit was telling me today we're set up for a Stephen and Jack final. Definitely the wrong play to take out Roxy, she could have been easily manipulated. I do think she takes the crown from Meryl as the most useless Faithful on the UK series at least. At least she was completely wrong up to the end. James is great TV. He would infuriate the life out of me too, but I like how utterly chaotic he is.
  2. Do we know when tickets go on sale yet? I’m assuming probably next week with pre codes. Limited dates this time so I imagine demand will be high.

Ultimately it comes down to human nature. I’m discounting the celebrity version but people like Meryl, Mollie and Roxy/Jack this year can just not comprehend their friends could be traitors, it crosses their mind, but I’m not sure they really believe it because they don’t want to believe it. I suppose it’s a bit like grief and the stages of that.

The Faithful are pretty useless in most series though. It’s part of the game and I do think it is exceptionally hard. Even though James got it completely wrong I understood his logic and at least he had a theory and stuck to it. There’s a huge element of luck as a faithful. The issue is and where the faithful always come unstuck is they either are so rubbish they continually get manipulated. Or they get a theory in their head which they cannot shake (see Leanne with Alexander last year). With this year in particular I don’t think there’s been anything to really shake the traitors up. Or they got the right luck in the right moments (see Rachel getting the mirror to ask a question to the traitors).

Faraaz has probably left it too late - agree that Roxy is up there with Meryl as one of most useless traitors we've seen. The problem (and it must be hard) is people put friendships before gameplay and forget they are actually in a game. Jack and Roxy are the usless idiots, Jade is there as people will always vote for her and James has been utterly manipulated. Faraaz would be the play to get murdered. The edit must be really clever and put together as I cannot believe that James (or other players) did not consider for a minute that James had been set up and it played out exactly how the Traitors thought it would. I cant see past a traitor victory at this point unless Jack pipes up and connects the dots (unlikely). At this point I'm kind of here for a Rachel stabbing Roxy in the back moment though to make for better TV.
  6. New York Times tweeting the US are going to be allowed to build more bases. So it sounds to me like NATO have explained how NATO works and have explained the existing treaty. Trump will chalk it up as a win and andone dumb enough will agree. In reality Europe have completely out-manoureved him.
  7. The guy is a lunatic and the oligarchs controlling him just see the money. It's time to call these jokers out for what they are. One of the funniest things is they deny climate change, but accept the polar ice caps are melting. Time for people to open their eyes about these crooks.
  8. I don't think him, the tech bros or his administration understand the implications of what EU, Canada and the UK would actually do though. I dont't think this is posturing, they are all clearly talking behind closed doors about what they would do, which is expel diplomats and military bases and possibly nuke the US economy.
  9. I don't think they will sell. What happens if next year Trump decides he needs to buy Ireland? The Greenland issue is pure vanity - it's not popular domestic or foreign vote winner. He'll just throw his toys out of the pram on this one and make the biggest political screw up since the Iraq War if he chooses to invade.

    Massive blow that for Villa.
  12. Well yes. It's why Trump and his base probably think Europe will cave to the demands if he takes it by force, but I don't think any of them understand the repecussions. All this does is push Europe towards China. For all their faults at leat they are a reliable economic partner. If the US wanted Greenland they would take it and I don't think we'd offer any force, but certainly all military personnel would be expelled. I'm not sure Europe would pull the economic lever but it's certainly an option. I think Trump and the Republicans have more pressing domestic issues they need to be taking care of rather than thinking of a legacy project.
  13. Interesting to see where and how this pivots. It’s nice to see how unpopular his move is both domestically and internationally to take Greenland. The whole event seems to be more of a legacy piece rather than an actual piece of foreign policy. Such a dumb move and it’s good to see Europe standing up. MAGA seem to be making deeply unpopular moves with the electorate and not sure how much “we need this for national security” holds up outside of the core support. Quite clearly, they don’t need it.

Probably a mixture of bad marketing from Sony too. I can appreciate the first film was tonally jarring and people were expecting something slightly different. That said, imagine this will be sort of film that does ace numbers on streaming. We’ll see what happens. Probably helps there is the major Sony & Netflix licensing deal and you’ve got Cillian Murphy in the next film.

Yeah it is a shame it has underperformed so far. I'd like to think the good word of mouth might give it some legs, but maybe people who hated the ending of the first film didn't fancy this one. The first film was more of a coming of age and of love. But the only truly memorable scene was the causeway whereas this film there are plenty. This definitely felt more like the original 28 Days Later.

Both Rachel and Stephen are really lucky. Stephen was terrible early on but reigned it in and Rachel has made some totally dumb moves. One thing I can't get with the Faithful this year is there have been very obvious moves made by Rachel and they've not twigged at all. When you reveal you are an FBI profiler, surely that's a red flag that she hasn't been murdered (especially with the final murder they will commit). I do agree with the gameplay comment that someone made in this thread. I can't warm to Rachel at all, but maybe that's where my unconscious bias is creeping in. I thinkI want certain people to win rather than Traitors/Faithful. Take last year, the winners were fecking horrible but I really wanted Alexander to win. And in series 2 I really wanted Jaz to win, but did think it was great TV when Mollie realised she'd been played.

Go and see this - pure cinema. Obviously helps if you have seen 28 Years Later, but you can also pick this up as a self contained horror film too. I will advise that spoilers are below so please do not read on if you don't want to know about the plot. I'll keep some parts vague though not to spoil key moments. The juxtaposition between Kelson and Jimmy is amazing. I think Jimmy is definitely the most terrifying villain in the franchise and that opening scene along with the barn scene are absolutely terrifying. I was kind of surprised that he just took Spike on in the film, when Spike was clearly not up for the role and just wanted to leave. I wasnt so sure they got the humanisation right of the infected in the first film, looking at you birth scene. But in this film, I think they got it so right. Was a little bit miffed with Samson and his dong just hanging out and getting high, but the "I don't have a ticket" moment was huge. They played it so well and was actually believeable. That scene along with the Kelson cinematic scene towards the end (everyone will know this) were certainly huge cinema moments. I certainly think the barn scene will linger long in my mind and suspect the pregant woman will either come across Spike again or Spike's dad on causeway island. As for the ending, was a great way to piviot Cilliam Murphy back in so that he can be a part right at the start. Interested to see what happened to Hannah and Selena, especially since it looks like they never left where they settled at the end of 28 Days!

Matthew is acting up for the cameras, just like Harriet did. Yeah he's arrogant, but you have to be in the game. There's no way Matthew gets recruited now in any case. The only way a recruitment happens now is if one of Stephen or Rachel gets voted out (which is unlikely) as I suspect Rachel probably gives herself rhe double power and they use that to vote out Matthew. Only 8 left now - 2 banishments and 1 murder before the final to leave us with 5. I think Rachel probably wins at this point, though honestly I know how hard it is to play the game, but I genuinely don't know how Rachel has come up zero prolonged suspicion at all and not been murdered.

Getting good critic and audience revies. Suspect this will have heavier legs than 28 Years Later but we'll see. I'm sure I have read Sony greenlit the 3rd film in November and Garland is working on the script now. The challenge will just be getting everyone's schedule coordinated. Going to see this on Sunday so I'll report back!

Those ratings and genuinely mad. The move to 8pm doesn't suit me - but fair play to the BBC team. Imagine if they found a way to have something Traitors related on Christmas Day. I know for some of the flaws it means to issues but to have a programme like this with multi generational appeal on linear TV is bonkers - not sure we will see much else like this again.
  21. This is terrible management from Liverpool. Don't know what City have promised him. Anyway, onwards and upwards but we have a terrible habit of doing this in the transfer market trying to be too clever. Very disappointing as we're crying out for an extra defender.
  22. And it's fairly obvious that Steve Bannon is advising Farage. I think it's been speculated, but a lot of the recent plays are straight out of Trump's playbook in 2015/2016.

It's the pitfall of the show that you end up left with blandies. But having watched a lot of how reality TV is produced and put together, sometimes I think it is intentional as well. You need to give contestants storylines and impact for when they are murdered or banished, throughout the episodes you can kind of get a hint of flavour with such a huge cast. If anyone has watched 'Squid Games: The Challenge' - I am fairly sure the same production company run both shows. In both cases, the winner barely even appears much in the edit until 60% of the way through the show. A big issue this year is I think a lot of the Faithful actually like Stephen. I don't think they could even question that he could be a traitor at this moment, as they don't want him to be. It's why you have to say it's good gameplay from The Traitors - I don't think they have been particularly brilliant, but when the Faithful have messed up they've covered their tracks.

Yeah agreed the Traitors would be daft not to murder Jesse. At this point it's the only way Stephen can win imo. James is getting the kind of edit that makes me think he goes to the final, but probably in a tragic Alexander kind of way. The Faithful seem completely useless though and this season seem way too attached to friendships. Roxy has to be up there with one of the worst players ever. You have too many followers and weak Faithfuls at this stage who are likely playing their own game to get as close as possible. I'm not sure at this stage someone makes an obvious move like James or Sam did. The fact none of them considered the Traitors didn't just guess either is laughable. Or consider that if tbere was a Traitor in that group, they'd have basically owned up to the fact there was a Traitor there. Rachel has such a hold on the group, but I still can't see her keeping Stephen. Surely they must know at this point, the group will know there is at least one Traitor remaining. At some point they're going to have to go against each other.
