  1. Exactly, so Reform end up being the The Tories in all but name.
  2. I think these sorts of games are slogs though, Burnley played 4-5-1 for most of the game. I think we had 10 blocked shots or something like that. It's hard to create against a team which is just playing not to concede - look at how England struggle against the likes of Andora recently! Think Robertson and Kerkez will just share minutes, one will start vs Athletico and the other will against Everton. I don't think Kerkez played badly, he got a silly booking and was one challenge away from being sent off. This was the first of 3 games in 6 days - Slot will just manage minutes.
  3. Yes Iraola or Glasner would be the one. Glasner would make the most sense as he plays 352, although one of them is going to be nailed on for Bayern Munich.
  4. Not at all Steve, not having that. Burnley defended OK (all very last ditch) but their xG was 0.19. We absolutely bossed and dominated them. Well worth the 3 points.
  5. It's incredible how bad you continue to be and I'm still not bored of it.
  6. But this is exactly what these people want, they want you to feel anger so that in turn it causes division and ultimately people end up being forced to pick a side. Lots of people have concerns about immigration, rightly or wrongly. That's when you get 'normal' people who end up being radicalised, or normal people who end up voting a right win populist Party like Reform, as it's framed as A or B, rather than a pragmatic view. It ends up playing in to their narrative. It's important to reference that there was more people who didn't attend the 'rally' yesterday than did. It's a very vocal group, but it's also a lot of noise. Of course no-one has created this. My view is as a society we ultimately moved too fast too soon without bringing people along on the journey. Then you have people saying phases like 'white privieldge' which yes I totally get, but if you start telling people who live in deprivation who have no hope and have seen their town become ghost like, it doesn't really help matters imo. All it does it stoke fires and allow these people to become radicalised by people with ill-intentions. But these pockets have always existed, the problem is now you have a lot more money behind the movements and people who can be captivating speakers unlike the likes of Nick Griffin. Ultimately we are in a day of social media where people can control the narrative and until these places end up being regulated we're always going to be in a mess.
  7. Steve has a point, which I agree with. If you listen to the rhetoric the likes of Katie Hopkins was throwing out yesterday, it is very much "we don't hate you" whereas even if that is true or not, it is the character she is trying to be. Whereas there is a lot of hate and anger in here, which I totally understand by the way. The way to beat populism is to understand people's concerns. Yes there were a lot of racist morons at this march, but there were also a lot of people who have been influenced by populism and have concerns. It's why part of this problem is all of our own doing and why the likes of Yaxley-Lennon has risen to prominence again.
  8. You just have to see for how this group act, apparently there was 3 million there today. A complete, fabricated made-up number. But people will believe it, as the nutjobs end up believeing it. I think my favourite video I've seen so far is when some of the people partaking decided to have some multi-cultural food.
  9. I saw a Laxley-Lennon response and you can tell he is shitting bricks, as people will say they are inspired by him to commit these crimes. The whole movement is a complete joke.
  10. Wonder how this will be twisted by MAGA now. What we going for.. mental illness?
  11. His style is all about being confident in what he is saying to the point where you make the people you are debating crumble. I've seen people say he listens to both sides, but from all that I have seen he just talks over people. His arguments often lack substance imo. He wasn't up against random college kids, he was up against actual intellects, with experience in debating. He slated the liberal arts of the West, but what Kirk really meant, was the liberal arts of the USA as one example. He debating against people who understand both sides of the argument and ikely agree with him on many of his views, but just not the argument he was projecting. See his whole debate on abortion & DNA as another example.
  12. As many others have pointed out there was a literal school shooting yesterday. For an idelogy that cares about children, they sure care a lot more about one of their own? Like I said, I don't condem political violence, but irony is not lost on me that a man who advocated for no gun control is killed by a gun. The most ironic celebrity death since Paul Walker. I am not sure he was a good debater. He was good at his style, but you have to remember his style is looking for gotcha moments. He got showed up massively when he tried to debate at Cambridge University for example.
  13. I also don’t agree with political violence, but the irony is not lost on me with this one. Again, I think it just shows how bent this ideology is. There is more uproar about an ultra conservative being killed the kids being shot at school.
  14. Sounds like the police arrested the wong suspect at the time too, whoops. Honestly, there will be more uproar about this than school shootings.
  15. What a massive piece of irony in the 2nd amendments ey.
  16. I don’t know, I find some of this rhetoric really unhelpful myself. First of all, it’s important to respect views. There are loads of people who will vote Reform because they’re bigots, racists, homophobic, anti-establishment (lol), or just a general nutter. But you will have many people who will Reform who may just be mis-informed. The two things can both be correct. The whole idea of these culture wars is to get people to pick aside. It’s why they are so dangerous, as normal people not affiliated to any major view then come on board and get forced to pick a side or view which can be heavily manipulated. My biggest takeaway is there are millions of people who may be persuaded to vote Reform who can may not actually vote Reform. The key is to address it not from a racist or dismissive tone, but a point of understanding. I can categorically state people’s lives will be far more shitter then they realise if Reform get in to power for example.
  17. People are suspicious of Farage, you only have to look at the data, people don't trust him. A general election is not going to be fought on small boats - yes, it may have an impact, but the crux of it comes down to the economy and the NHS too. Farage & Reform have obviously got a large backing of the same people who fund MAGA, but the UK is also quite culturally different to the US in some ascpetcs.. namely tradition and moral compass. You also have this weird line where Farage is not a total crankpot, but he needs the crankpots. Being able to discipline and govern a party of chancers is going to be impossible. I've no doubt if they did not implode themselves, they'd be so unpopular within a year they'd be struggling. It's easy for Reform at the moment, bu Farage flaps under pressure. Journalists have him on toast most of the time. I understand the appeal of Farage, similarly to Trump - it's all populism at the end of the day. I can understand why people are attracted to vote for someone who says they will make their life better. Unfortunatley people are far too easily manipulated, but you can understand it when people don't feel their living conditions change.
  18. Saturday 13th September Arsenal 2-0 Nottingham Forest (12:30) AFC Bournemouth 2-2 Brighton & Hove Albion Crystal Palace 2-1 Sunderland Everton 0-1 Aston Villa Fulham 2-0 Leeds United Newcastle United 4-1 Wolverhampton Wanderers West Ham United 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur (17:30) Brentford 0-2 Chelsea (20:00) Sunday 14th September Burnley 1-4 Liverpool (14:00) Manchester City 1-1 Manchester United (16:30)
  19. Quite true. Reform definitely have the polls at the moment, but the data behind the polls makes some of Farage's moves quite obvious. Again, not sure pulling loads of ex-Tories in is going to be really helpful. mainly as these are some of the most slimest Tories going. But I suppose even in their minds if they don't become the biggest Party, they are likely to overtake the Tories and become the formal opposition.. I also do agree withe wider point above about it's not really the way to attack Reform voters and not show them any respect. I feel that's unhelpful. They are going to get 3-4 million votes regardless - but there are a lot of people who you can convice not to vote Reform. These people are not your friends. I actually don't think all their policies are too bad, but their MAGA strategy to feed off division, culture wars and to feed off voters' naievty doesn't cut through to me. The people controlling Reform are not your friends and they think of people as uselss idiots. I do think Labour need to at least show they are making people's lives better though.

Most Premier League teams seem to be using long throws at the moment. So I'd say there's something in that. Anyway not really bothered about Tuchel, it's clear he's only in the job for the World Cup before whoever we decide is the long term successor.
  21. I think the YouGov poll that Iz posted was pretty telling. Seems people view Reform as a protest, but they don't all trust Farage. They will obviously do well, but I'm hoping there are enough non-stupid people to stop the madness. I think there wil be so much tactical voting in the GE to stop them. Might just be me, but I'm not sure their conference has gone down as well in the media as they may have been hoping. The morons can't even sign the national anthem right, which tells you all you need to know about this group of grifters,
  22. Harvey Elliott is great, but there is no way he is superior to Wirtz in any category. Elliott will do well, he is a great player, but he's not quick enough to be a wide forward and not good enough to be a creative number 10.,
  23. Not impossible of course, but far more likely a 5th to 7th placing.
  24. Man Utd to finish 2nd.. come on Liam 🤣

I do agree like Swag, Swag II has some really strong tracks and would have played well as a 15 strong album. I can't see them going with a single from this, maybe Love Song? That sounds the most commerical/radio friendly to me, but all in all I think it's more of a passion project he's put out. Must say I absolutely love Speed Demon though.
