No goals or creativity in that midfield though.

He's a good player. He should be quality. Obviously we wanted us last year and he turned us down as he got cold feet and didn't want to leave home. I think he'll get a hard time at Anfield next season. Think it will all in whether he settles in England or not to be honest. But yeah good to see Arsenal spending money on a defensive midfielder!

People have no party loyalities so we get big swings like this. Reform are benefiting from the protest vote at the moment, as well as the fact they basically have free reign to attack all the other parties and don't recieve scruitiny themselves. It's very easy to say things they would do, but the reality is, they won't be able to do them as they won't have the money to do so. Interesting if any sort of scandal comes up around Farage too. For what it's worth I don't think all of Reform's policies are bad, but people (including myself) criticised Labour under Corbyn with the magic money tree and what Reform are propsing is 10x worse.

If Chelsea beat Newcastle then I can't see them not qualifying to be honest. Strangely, I think Forest have the best run in now but they are in poor form and their attacking and defensive stats have fallen off a cliff. Normally I'd say a home game against Leicester is a banker, but it's a derby game and there's a lot riding on it so it could be anything really. Think Villa will just miss out myself.
  5. What you don't understand is is Reform got in to power and things did not improve within 10 months, people would then turn on them too. It's hard to be popular when the country is skint and absolutely nothing Reform is proposing is going to make anyone except the people who bankroll Reform better off. The government can't control the price of chocolate and coffee going up. Reform can't stop that, infact judging from their policies so far they will make things worse. Reform have a good vote share at the moment, but it's easy for them, much like it was easy for Labour. The Tories are irrelevant and a governing Government can always lose popularity. In a generel election, people will vote for the least worst option. The point is a lot of Reform's MPs all come from money. I'm sure the likes of Aaron Banks when he gets parachuted in to a safe seat are gonna be thrilled to helping Grimsby. Anyone who votes Reform is a useful idiot for these people. Sure you can level that to all the Parties to some degree, but if you really think Reform give a shite about helping poor people you are deluded.
  6. Oh 100% never mind logs, if I see anything in a lorry or a carry that looks like it could fly off I'm moving out of the way  Agree that FD4 was terrible, it was part of the 3D fad that never really took off. All the other films are pretty good though. Probably one of those films that clips up really well with YouTube/TikTok too.
  7. People don't like Reform because they're racists and are stupid. Of course they attract poorer people - for starters their target areas are areas of deprivation and poverty. This idea that immigration is why places are shite, which is not the entire problem. It's easy to blame. As I have explained many times, Reform want to increase the personal tax allowance to £20k but have no idea how they will pay for it. Also completely oblivious to the fact everyone who has a personal tax free allowance will also benefit, so everything will go up! Genius. Reform are part of the establishment, if you can't see this for your own eyes then more the fool you. All they're going to do is make you poorer but think you're richer. You know lots of people don't actually go in to politics their whole life, don't you? I think you'll find actually the best politicans are those who have made their way up the ranks from Councillor to MP and actually understand the way the world works. Most politicans come off from well educated background and they go in the politics to make themselves richer or because are narcasstic in their personalities and crave power. Let's have a look at the 5 Reform MPs Farage - Trader/Banker Tice - Businessman & property developer Anderson - Coal Miner who bounces between parties for whatever serves his own personal grease poll Lowe (OK not a reform MP anyone) - Billionaire who owned a football club McMurdoh - Banker So 80% of Reform MPs 2024 all part of the 1%, all love making money and somehow they have an informed interest in the best beliefs of the country. Honestly, open your eyes. Reform are part of the establishment and you and millions of others are completely brainwashed. They do not care about you.
  8. I think 3 and 5 certainly have the best opening sequences, but 3 is definitely the best. I actually really enjoyed the original movie. Do we know why it took so long to make a sequel? I remember the 5th film didn't do amazingly well at the box office, but I thought it did OK. Seems this is tracking really well and if the reviews are good then it should turn up a decent profit. Perhaps the franchise just needed a break and certainly this nostaligia horror love-in means there is a market for it.
  9. Isn't the point though, and why so many people think Reform are shite. No offence but that's a lousy excuse. If you apply for a role then don't understand what it actually entails, then you're the idiot. Especially with public sector work. You even have AI these days who can do the work for you. Reform attracts melts and you seriously want people with no political experience running the country? BARF. First person to criticism public waste, but if a Reform MP or councillor forgets to do something, we should try and be more inclusive, brilliant, hang this in the Louve.

It's a complete 50/50 game. The game is huge for both sides in the medium term. I wonder if both teams will play cagey, clearly there is so much riding on this to both teams.

BUT we can hope! We’re all Spurs fans on the 21st!!!! 😂

They also had the hardest group draw, got beat away to Bayern Munich & Arsenal and then lost to Athletico Madrid at home. I don't think they were amazing in the group stage but they were unlucky and had the hardest draw, which top seeds in Pot 1 certainly will get with this format. Usually in the CL, it doesn't really matter in the group stages, Madrid made a habit of doing this too. It's the second half of the season where the form really matters. Inter have been great too, but beating City, Liverpool, Villa and Arsenal is a good feat. Inter and PSG have two very different styles, so it will be an interesting match up!
  14. So we have immigrants who come and then leave? Surely that's a good thing with the argument you're making?? Would love people who moan about the quality of life in the United Kingdom to try living a week in a 2nd or third world country. This deal sounds like it is exclusive to the tariffs and not a Trade Deal. It strokes Trump's ego and makes it sound like 10% tariffs will be the minimum. We get American non-hormone pumped beef and they get Rolls Royces. Reading between the lines it seems a sensible way to appease the current madness and both parties seem relatively happy.
  15. Liam not sure what some of your points are here. There is a cap of 1,500 people and why are comparing different minimum wages? When you move countries your salary will be in comparison. There’s also a minimum salary entry, £30k I believe which doesn’t go very far. The deal grows our economy by £5bn and is inherently good, I genuinely don’t know what the problem is. One of those world famous trade deals Brexit allowed us to get but an absolute classic as no one who supports Brexit had any idea about economics. And not read the US Trade deal, don’t think you can really say if that’s good or bad until you look what other countries get. The beef thing will be the headline I suspect but sounds like it will only be non hormone pumped products? But think the devil will be in the details for all these things.

I can’t see it myself but I think another season of nothingness and their fans will get twitchy. I do think Arsenal have regressed slightly this year. Yes, injures have had an impact but I think part of that is how Arteta manages his squad too. I think Arteta has focused so much on the mentality side it’d ultimately come at a hindrance to the team.

Shockingly deluded. He must feel under some big pressure. Sometimes you just have to admit the better team won! Certainly against Liverpool, whilst in the 2nd leg I think that was the best I’ve seen us play this season, ultimately, PSG were just better. Fair play to them they’ve been consistently great over the last 5 months.
  18. Oh yes joining the EU. Completely forgetting the one time we had a real piece of prosperity, we were actually in the EU. Complete and utter nonsense. Tarrifs can be used to not massively flood the market and create insane consumer choice, but they are all relative. Free trade is beneficial for business. People buying British goods in India are wealthy too, so I don't know, maybe it's a good way to make money? You know, like a good deal is both parties are satisifed and both think they have got a good hand. Like Steve says, you say India are an economic powerhouse but now they are a poor country. Perhaps the answer lies in that India has a vast wealth gap. Lol. Liam at this point you are a running parody. "Look how much these boats are costing us" - open you fecking eyes dude. Do you know how much public money is wasted on lots of things. The cost saving is ineligible. Oh and yeah you know when your lads from Reform decided it would be an amazing idea to leave the EU, they made is 10x harder to send people back to France, so their new solution to to strip each and every single one of us of our human rights and waste even more money. . If you serious;y think that businesses are now going to be flooding the Market with Indian workers, get a grip. It does't work that way. Reform have zero plan for how they are actually going to govern, so yes they of course will bankrupt the country. These people are not your mates, you're merely a puppet for them and the sooner you wake up and realise you're being used and they play in to your innate fears the quicker we can all move on.

Ultimately they have come up against the best team in the competition. PSG have been the best team in the competition and certainly since January they've been great in the CL.
  20. Rooney posted a post in a topic in Sports and Fitness
Definitely the best game, but I think PSG and Inter will be fun. Two complete different styles and PSG are way better disciplined than Barcelona! But Inter will play on the counter attack and certainly won't go toe to toe with PSG.

It's on a Saturday, no? 31st May! Think the Europa League & Conference are midweek on Wednesdays.

Havertz is absolutely good enough. The issue is the output of the wingers is not strong enough. It's why I think Arsenal will struggle a bit if they go all out for a traditional #9. You lose a lot of control. Arsenal have regressed this season. They recruited strangely in the summer and Odegaard has been terrible since the injury as Dobbo states. Much like Saka, I suspect they were rushed back at the earliest available opportunity.
  23. Avoid paying NI.. that's right. So any prospective workers ends up being double taxed and pays in to a system they are never going to take out of. The numbers are capped and the social immigration system enourages people to return home as their state benefits are still there for them. And of course foreign nationals pay for the NHS. You make it sound like we're going to have flights full of Indian people coming to take our job. You've already stated they are poor, so how are they gonna afford the flights? And trust me when hiring people no reputable business takes in to consideration the ethnicity or MOGE cost of an individual for the business. Instead you want Reform to be in power who will have their red lines so fecking red we'll be bankrupt within the year. I've seen this story before, not one person can tell me a benefit of Brexit 10 years on and as much as they promise you the world I can guarantee you if Reform ever got in to power there won't be one benefit to any of us in this thread.
  24. It’s a good deal, everyone thinks that. It’s mutually beneficial for both countries hence why it’s a good deal.. you know one country gets rich and the other gets richer? I’m still to hear from how it’s a bad deal from anyone. Your post above is complete crap. Comparing our economy to China 30 years ago. Another absolute pelter. You’re gonna get some absolutely great responses to these posts of which you won’t reply. The levels of arrogance is mind blowing. I hope you don’t work in Sales or any sort of commercial business.

It was 2023-2024 where they signed big. Zinchenko was a massive player for them and Jesus is really good. Those players were signed to bring them to the next level, it was summer 2023 where they signed Timber, Rice, Havertz where they kicked on and did a good job. Problem was this season they strengthen bizarrely in areas they were already fairly strong.
