This feels like it's the Pop album that was teased for 2026. Interesting. With Swag we got some confirmation of features etc. but nothing this time from what I can read.
  2. I wonder if this sort of stuff will ultimately be negative for Reform. In Farage's midst to make the party more electable, they essentially become the Tories.
  3. What’s going on with Trump then? We getting an announcement today on his health issues do you reckon?
  4. You say that, but look at Marc Guehi. He was a model professional throughout yet he didn’t get his move as Palace pulled the plug. Not saying I agree with the behaviour, but just goes to show.
  5. I think we are fine. Virgil, Leoni, Konate, Gomez, Kerkez, Bradley, Frimpong, Robertson. Then Endo and Gravenberch can play there in an emergency too. It's certainly annoying as he is quality, but we have loads of cover. Suppose we don't have a million CBs like Arsenal do though.
  6. He's currently banned. Which is unfortunate as I would love him to be giving a running commentry on Man Utd and Isak!
  7. Donnarumma is so weird for Man City. He is terrible with the ball at his feet.
  8. This definitely feels like the most bonkers end to the window I can remember. There’s all sorts of terrible deals going on across Europe.
  9. So it’s a really good deal then in that case. There’s definitely a player in there, but he also needs and wants to play. Slot doesn’t fancy him to start games due to his lack of athleticism. Hope he does well at Villa.
  10. Easily, certainly on paper. Feels like we’ve turned in a Slot team now. We’ve spent a lot of money but I think for the next 2-3 years we’ll make 1-2 signings at most in the windows. I’d have like to have kept Elliott too, but Slot doesn’t rate him as more than a back up. Would like to think there’s a buy-back clause in there though. There were murmurings we were interested in Morgan Rogers, so it wouldn’t not surprise me at all if we move for him in 2026 to take advantage of Villa’s PSR issues.
  11. Guehi would cap off an unbelievable transfer window on paper. Really feels like we have a strong squad of 18 players now. Exciting times!
  12. United have been offered Martinez and Donnarumma but come away with Lammens. No idea how good or bad he is, but certainly that’s a lot of pressure to heap on a young goalkeeper.
  13. What a bonkers deadline day. Some mad deals happening. £50m for Wissa 😂 Can’t wait for Villa fans to moan some more about PSR too.

Interesting really as your style under Nuno suited you. Is the change away due to your owner wanting a more expansive style of football? Of course it’s way more exciting to watch, but it’s so hard to turn in to a pressing machine.
  15. Isak deal agreed and Guehi close too. Knew Isak would get done eventually. Seen how we operate as club, and if there is no deal to be done, James Pearce or Paul Joyce pour the cold water.

West Ham are still a half decent team, but yes that does feel like the sort of result that will go down like a lead baloon with the owner. But it's also August. There are some weird results so far, it's hard to tell who is really good and who is really bad outside of a handful of teams.

Bournemouth looking the form team at the moment despite losing pretty much all their defence!
  18. Man Utd wanted to sell Bruno, but he didn't want to go. It's a mechanism of the club offering daft contracts over the years, like see there inability to shift Anthony and Sancho. The issue with the system he plays is you need the players, which of course he doesn't have. And the system he plays is horrendously overrated. He's had almost a year and if anything, Man Utd look worse. The international break has probably come at a great time, but the fixtures after look horrendous. Usually they play OK in the big games, but I reckon two losses against City and Chelsea and he's toast.
  19. Indeed. But I also think this is why Arsenal and Liverpool swerved on Sesko. He is so raw, could be absolutely amazing, but could also be a complete donkey, Which is why I am glad they won. Just have to look at the replies on here! So many fans have already seen enough and I can see why. The 3 points here just put off the inevitable imo.
  20. You don't spend that amount of money on a striker to have him sat on the bench. He's quite clearly very, very raw and actually, not that good. But also not sure Amorim really fancies him as an option at the moment. I just feel as a striker you're always under pressure. Look at Nunez. It's a target across the backs and its what Woltmade will have as well. Anyway, big 3 points today although you fear the damage is already done.
  21. The flag stuff is interesting. Personally, in my view the people who started the campaign used it as a way to intimidate people and force people to make a choice over which side of the debate you sit on. I've got no problem with the flag at all, even if the England flag itself definitely has been claimed by the far-right imo. The flags people are putting up look absolutely shite though, that's my problem. Then of course you get morons deciding to paint roundabouts, public signs etc. - just bonkers.
  22. Woltemade to Newcastle - actually think that is a decent signing for them. Reckon Liverpool make another offer for Isak now over the next couple of days.
  23. BBC NewsReform UK Nottinghamshire council leader bans local newsp...The Nottingham Post describes the ban as "concerning" and "unprecedented".“Free speech” apart from what you say what we dont like. Wonder how any of the Reform fans can stick up for this?
  24. The system is one problem, certainly. But if you changed the system would you still be good? Look what happened with Ten Haag as a recent example. It also can’t be healthy that you have so many players in and around who the manager doesn’t like and the club cannot flog them. I think part of the problem is always the expectations and the culture. You can’t change a culture in a year, it takes 3-5 years. The fans and the media will always have such high expectations, see everyone getting so excited 10 days ago after the Arsenal defeat. It’s just bonkers. In reality, these results can happen. Playing an entire new team especially away from home is a recipe for an upset. Yet now we’re basically another bad result away from Amorim getting the sack, which is absolutely bonkers.
  25. It’s honestly baffling how he is so wedded to a formation. Thats a serious failure on the behind the scenes team to appoint a manager who is not pragmatic. For all of Ten Haag’s faults, he at least realised fairly quickly he needed to be pragmatic. But I still think it comes down to the culture and the pressure. Like I said, Sesko was a complete vanity project signing. And there was no need to go for Cunha and Mbuemo. Surely the prority would been to get a midfielder who can pass and tackle (admittedly those are in short supply).
