Your current favourite Christmas songs
I posted in the Chart show thread the other week how I currently enjoy Underneath The Tree even though I will likely get sick of it one year as well how I'm now sick of Last Christmas which was once my favourite song. It inspired to start this thread, which Christmas Songs do you currently enjoy the most and which songs eventually put you off? My current favourites Band Aid - Do They Know Its Christmas Wizzard - I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday Kelly Clarkson - Underneath The Tree Elton John - Step Into Christmas Darlene Love - All Alone On Christmas The Waitresses - Christmas Wrapping Jona Lewie - Stop The Cavalry Now bored of them Wham - Last Christmas Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas Is You The Pogues - Fairytale of New York Underneath The Tree also has the advantage that it is still a young song, although all the others I list in my faves are a lot older, it helps they don't get over exposure.

"LadBaby pull out of Official Christmas Number 1 race 2023"
If The Beatles were to restore their joint record of most Christmas Number 1s with a return to the top for Here and Now, could LadBaby be tempted to return next year to get the outright record back?

"LadBaby pull out of Official Christmas Number 1 race 2023"
Although I was not expecting them to run this year, this comes as a huge sigh of relief. Hopefully this year's battle is not a one horse race with someone different.

Sanna was so lucky to make top 40 as this was just a few weeks before streaming started to be counted that would have denied her.

Could bringing back a national final be a solution to get the UK back on track?

That was before the public were allowed to vote though. The results might have been different had that been in place.

Possible withdrawls/returnees for 2024
Maybe not for many years yet but with a Faroese representing Denmark this year, could this be a big step towards the Faroe Islands being an EBU member and debuting in Eurovision?

Possible withdrawls/returnees for 2024
Who do you reckon will pull out or make a return for the 2024 contest? I can't think who would withdraw but maybe however unlikely Ireland now their dismal run stretches to just one final in nine contests. Monaco looks like they will return any year now once their new state owned television channel is established and EBU membership is sorted out. I think at least one of Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro will return.

BBC Radio 1 loses rights to official charts after 56 years.
End of an era. From the autumn, the official top 40 will be broadcast for the first time ever on commercial radio after BBC Radio 1 loses the rights after 56 years as part of the corporation's cuts. Radio 1 still plan to air their own unofficial chart as voted by listeners as componsation. Your thoughts then on this historic moment.
