The 1300th number 1
Black Magic this week became the 1296th UK number 1 of all time so we only have four more chart toppers until we know who achieves the 1300th. Early contenders include Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor's collaboration along with Sarah Harding's solo debut available for release in the week of the earliest opportunity, Jess Glynne has her new one out the following week assuming the milestone hasn't happened by then.

I think the all time leaderboard would look better in a bigger font size as there aren't that many entries needed.

Same Jeans by The View and Tequila by Terrorvision sound totally different to the rest of their respective back catalogues.

The Official Chart Show with Greg James
Basically whoever stands in for Greg's normal shows that week will by default stand in for the top 40 so I expect Dev will become the regular chart cover.

Which R1 top 40 format will be better?
When Radio 1 moves the top 40 to Fridays as of next month, the shorter slot that will go with it will mean they will only have time to play a select number of entries in the lower bracket alongside the full top 20 but which method do you prefer? I think the concept of playing all forty entries is now old hat considering the impact of streaming has seen several long runners in the lower end although it did work back in the 90s and early 2000s when you would regularly get 15-20 new entries.
