I think it will stay Sunday afternoons after all, Friday nights wouldn't work so they might as well keep it Sundays.
  2. You stole my job Taylor, I hate you for this.
  3. Needletime which restricted the amount of time recorded music could be played on the radio was still in force back then.
  4. Clara would probably get Friday mornings off if they did 4-7 Friday.
  5. That's right and she'll still be doing her Friday night show too.
  6. I can confirm that Westwood never hosted the January 5th 2003 show after all because I remember Nemone saying at the end of the previous week's show that Scott Mills would be hosting it.
  7. The change could have a real impact on the X Factor winner's hopes for Christmas Number 1. There's no way Cowell would want to wait another four days to release the song and suppose he got his way by still releasing it on a Sunday night then there would still be two less days which probably would have been fatal for Sam Bailey and Ben Haenow.
  8. Axwell and Ingrosso - Something New 12

Blur get the Madonna treatment.
  13. It took me five days to compile this list but here is a guide to the lowest same week combined positions for each top 40 sales position since streaming came to the fore. A playlist cock up resulted in no play for Blame It On Me at number 41 as George Ezra had already been played with his new single earlier on the programme, instead for the very first time the number 42 record was played instead so no inclusion for Blame It On Me.
  15. Five months since Take Me To Church first entered the top 40 and it's steady climb to number 2 along with continued airplay has given it a chance to potentially become an all time top 40 long runner. Music festivals and the X Factor auditions could help it make an unbroken top 40 year so do you think it will stick around for this long?
  16. I can see this being the first ever entry to complete an unbroken year in the top 40. I think it will be out in July but back when the X Factor inevitably features it.
  17. It should read 16 place difference. We're also pretty much guaranteed a -20 difference for a top 40 sales entry to miss the overall one every week now. :o
  18. Make Me Smile is still the negative difference record to miss the overall top 40 in a single week.

The Weeknd makes history as the first single to be played at #41 then climb to the main show for the first time the following week!
  20. This means Taylor becomes the first act to have two songs lose multiple top 10 weeks.
  21. A record equaling seven changes due to streaming this week with four of them lost having not been top 40. Rather Be and Sing now both outright joint second in most weeks gained with seven weeks apiece. Nathan Grimsdale as well as the record Dobbo points out also breaks the record for the lowest position on the combined chart to be still top 40 on sales at #67!
  22. Also with Kid Inc making number 21 on sales last week but yet only made 43 combined, we're now looking at the first top 20 sales entry not to make top 40 overall!
  23. Karen Harding #5 combined.
  24. Kid Inc at #21 has now beaten Henry Krinkle's record of highest sales position to yet miss out on the combined top 40! Rather Be and Sing now joint second with Hideaway with most weeks gained.
