Concert promoters in Australia have released the following statement: “It has become apparent that Christina will not be well enough to perform her last two Melbourne shows. Doctor’s have confirmed Christina has a viral upper respiratory tract infection with a high fever and abnormal coughing. They have prescribed complete bed rest for the next few days. Christina Aguilera asked for the following message to be passed onto fans. “I want to personally apologize to all of my fans for having to cancel my last two shows here in Melbourne. Unfortunately, I have fallen ill with a bad flu virus. This is one of the best cities in the world to perform in and I am truly disappointed that I won’t be able to share my show with you all. Thank you for all of the continued love and support and I hope to perform for you all again next time.” Hope the baby is ok.

Christina Aguilera is going through some pregnancy pains. The mom-to-be has taken ill in Australia and postponed two concerts. Christina was supposed to perform in Melbourne on Saturday, but that concert was moved until Sunday. Now, the Sunday concert has been postponed as well. No word yet on when the date will be made up - if at all. Official word is that she has a fever and has been hit by a bug that’s been working its way through her touring crew. Hope Christina (and the baby) get well soon!
