#200 on my feed, Colour me Bad with "I Wanna Sex You Up" - got to be a wind up or what?

A bit off topic from I-tunes, but were the singles from Amy's debut album "Frank" limited release hence the very low chart positions and almost hard to get online? Yes I know we have downloads, but I would like to own a copy of one of those singles.

JLS should not be #1. This obviously has been "bought" and their fans should be ashamed. Amy deserves the #1 more than anyone as a tribute and I hope sales skyrocket to knock those four w*n**rs off the top.
  4. I think one way to stop it is have the chart around 85% singles sales and 15% jury. This way it could penalise these acts and even penalise people who have to feature a rapper just to get a hit e.g. Olly Murs. As well as the country in recession, I think the music charts and industry is in one.
  5. Amen. It seems people are only interested in a fast buck. The likes of Pitbull should be banned from stepping near a recording studio.

Shame he isn't d......oh wait *gets coat*
  7. Around 1995/6 for me when I was 10/11. This was when the likes of Britpop where dominating the chart, plus we had the pop acts of Eternal, Take That in the dying days of their first era and people like Mariah Carey and Celine Dion with their beautiful power ballads. There was so much variety then, and there was always an element of surprise such as "Dreamer" by Living Joy being #1. Now, there is too much of the same with all this rap/dance crap with Pitbull and David Guetta making a fast buck with the same song each release. Sadly Amy's passing has given the chart some life with the possibilities of two or three of her songs in the top 40. On top of that, even by the name of the act you know they will have a number one e.g JLS. I think something needs to be done and the onus is on radio stations to vary their playlists and given local acts and newcomers the chance to prove themselves and attention.

Cliff Richard would make an impact, especially with the older generation.

I think Mariah Carey would make a huge impact on the chart had/once she's deceased. It would be bigger in the US compared to the UK.....Celine probably would too.

I think if I-tunes was around in 1991, Freddie Mercury would have had an MJ style hysteria. I can see Queen getting a top 10 this November to commemorate 20 yrs. I do agree about Madonna and Kylie making only a cultural impact, but I think they'd get a top 10 hit to honour their memory. Paul McCartney is a bit 50/50, Cher would in the US but not as much in the UK.

The Itunes top 1000 link does not work in Google Chrome, any Amy songs charted below the top 300 please?

Good Gosh, so many to choose from; BEP - "I got a feeling" and "boom boom pow" All X-Factor winner singles bar Leona and Shayne's efforts. The X-Factor rapes for "charity" 2008-10. JLS's singles. Jason Derulo's latest effort.

I am in disbelief! Such a waste of talent, especially at a young age and what is worrying is she's the same age as me! RIP Amy, my thoughts with your family and friends xx My favourite songs by her were "In My Bed", "F--- me pumps", "Rehab", "Back To Black" and "Love Is A Losing Game". Strangely enough I heard "Valarie" in the carvery I had lunch at today! I hope in tribute Amy gets a #1 hit.

I'd relax the rules for Christmas.......it's nice to see "All I Want For Christmas Is You" in the chart every year. We all know that Cowell rigs the chart, hence the multi-buy rule scrapped last Christmas. I am sure "What's My Name" or "Surfin' Bird" sold more than "When We Collide".

The US does have an age limit with songs. I think we need this system in force as it's not healthy, especially acts who are trying to get into the top 40. Obviously it isn't the X-Factor as that hasn't started yet (wish it was banned), has it been in one of the soaps? Out of interest, where did that girl from hollyoaks (dont watch it) make in the I-tunes chart?

On a positive note......well done to Christina Ricci :)

Surely there should be an age limit with songs in the charts? It is silly. I bet the people who have downloaded this have the song three or four times. I think Apple should put a block on that IP or send a virus down their computer.....or do what they did in Azerbaijan one year and got people to attend a meeting for voting for a certain song.

Too true. I can see this on an I-Tunes countdown in 2051 when we're all getting a bit old.

It sums up the sorry state of the music industry. I can understand Adele, but BEPs puh-lease.

I think people need to have limits in how many times they download a song.....the dementia is settling in for some.

It'll be Leona.....funny how this will co-incide with the new X-Factor series starting. Plus Cowell has rigged it.
  22. This is an improvement on the last NOW edition, but why is that slag Lady Gaga on there with Express Yourself?
  23. Joinwithus posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
That Peter Andre song is a shocker! Was this played or performed on his show? I've heard it, and it's a very banal ballad. Jedward - well can't they f off to America? We don't want them here.

At least "Louder" getting to #1 would be something decent as opposed to that tosser Jason Derulo's feeble attempt to make a song. What does "roll" mean? We've had "Roll Up" and "How We Roll". Is this street slang? Britney needs a top 5 desperatly. Makes me mad that slag Lady Gaga keeps getting hits.
  25. "Primadonna" from "Bionic" would have been a huge hit, and a good opening single too.
