  1. Jason Mraz - "I'm yours" Saying that, that is a pretty woeful list.
  2. Well we know Simon Cowell is buying the Joe McCelldrey singles. When will people get it through their thick skulls that the X-Factor related number ones are all "bought" and the show is a scam? You are being brainwashed.
  3. I do agree about Gabriella Climi's lack of success. I bet if "Defender" was sung by the queen of bland Leona Lewis it would have been a top 5 hit. On top of that, it was a good album but the label has treated her very badly.
  4. Successes: Lady Gaga, Kylie's comeback and Ellie Goulding doing very well :) Germany winning ESC and Lena having a top 40 hit! Surprises: Sweden and Slovakia not making it to a Eurovision final despite having two of the best songs in the contest. Christina Aguilera going from 1 to 28 with her album. "Bionic" is so underrated and I am fearing "You Lost Me" failing to make the top 40! Disappointments: Christina not getting any attention. Flops of the Scissor Sisters, The Hooisers and One Night Only's singles and albums. Urban being very dominant leading to a lack of diversity in the single chart. X-Factor and Simon Cowell related songs getting to #1. We all know we can stop them and we know he buys those #1. Justin Beiber being huge :( Cheryl Cole's stronghold of attention - she's a thug.
  5. My 20c worth: 01.B*Witched - Rollercoaster - My Mum bought me this single - loved it then. A nice happy pop tune! 02.The Beautiful South - Perfect 10 - Overplayed, and not their best track. Fantastic song and voice. 04.Melanie B Featuring Missy 'Misdemeanor' Elliott - I Want You Back - One of two solo efforts from Miss Brown I like. 05.T-Spoon - Sex On The Beach - Nah :puke2: 06.Robbie Williams - Millennium - It's allright. 07.Aerosmith - I Don't Want To Miss A Thing - One of the few fake emotion plastic ballads from that year from a crap topselling movie. It's allright, though I had no idea what they were singing about until I was 15/16! (I was 14 then) 25.Sweetbox - Everything's Gonna Be Alright - Beautiful sample used for this song. So much for Injustice that new boyband being a big success.

Oh God a chav top two with Labryinth and Tinie Tempah. There should be restrictions on these sort of songs.

An obvious #1 for the fame whore who is a Russian spy, gives money to Combat 18 and killed an endangered tiger. (That would be printed as news in the Middle East)
  10. Where is Gabriella btw?
  11. Can't he go back to his $h!tty part of London where he belongs?
  12. With the X-Factor domination anything is seen as doing well nowadays.
  13. Am I alone thinking there should be a tight rules regarding the charts about "monopolies". For example Simon Cowell should not "mass promote" a song or pay the OCC?
  14. Glad this is being released, but sadly won't get the attention and promotion it needs as a) she is not American B) not prancing around like a tart and c) an urban act. The video has been added to Starz, but I have NEVER seen it played. I even requested it once! Probably all the chavs from Peckham wanting Devlin and Justin Beiber on all the time.
  15. Very tactical release from Olly isn't it? I don't mind the song, but will not buy it because it supports fiX-Factor.
  16. Downloads: Gabrielle Climi - Defender/Magic carpet ride (She needs every sale) Hurts - Wonderful Life Daughtry - September Brandon Flowers - Crossfire Shame Shontelle has been put back :(
  17. Oh crap, more R and B nonsense to get to #1 :( Why not Brandon or Hurts at the summit with original songs instead of the same regurgitated $h!t from Taio Cruz and his ilk. As for "Happy" and "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" - they are bland ballads, by a very bland singer who really needs to up the tempo a bit with her songs and become more fiesty.

That Jamie was the sort of singer who'd sing more douche stuff like "I'm yours". The thing is we aren't allowed anything like that here. Chris Daughtry is easily the best contestant ever from a reality TV show. As for the show, I will not be watching a minute of it this year. It's a disgrace to music, and Mr Cowell is a menace to the music industry in this country. He needs to be stopped.
  19. A very bizzare South African rap act with an even bizzare song. This has been getting a fair bit of attention on SKY music channels such as AKA, Starz, Clubland and ChartShowTV and it won't be long until the others follow suit: 8NZBxwjcwMc My prediction for this is in the region of 31-35. Sadly, I can see a better song losing out of a top 40 place due to it :(

It went out the window with common sense and what doesn't help is the morons who buy such wanting more of the same all the time.

David Guetta is easily a one trick pony. Every one of his recent hits sounds like "I gotta feeling".
  22. I think we do need a new Top of The Pops show, but whats stopping people from doing this? OK, we are in a recession but it ran during the mid 70s, 80s and early 90s ones. There is barely anything on the TV anyway aside from dull soaps so why don't they just do it? One thing, DO NOT hire Fearne and Reggie.
  23. It seems the majority of number ones have been urban music in the past couple of years. Traditional pop and dance stations seem to be ditching the genre they represent for urban music as well. What can be done to stop this? My views are: A) Have two seperate charts - International and local acts. With this system there would be two number ones and The Saturdays would be #1 in a local chart for this week. B) Disqualify long running songs - If a song has achieved 20 weeks at the top 40 it is therefore disqualified. C) Promotion of other genres - MAKE radio and TV have shows for those who are into folk, rock etc. D) Abandon the singles chart - It's a joke now and it seems the album chart has more prestige. E) Re-educate the young - Explain to the youth that there are other styles and perhaps promote the negative of urban music e.g. mysgonist lyrics in rap, greed as this is a recession and mentioning greed should be seen as wrong. See positives in other genres. What do you think should be done?

"Bad Ass Strippa" was terrible, "French Kisses" was OK, but made me cringe with the line "stop right there stand where you are, me and my boys will do it raw" and "Mysterious" was like a bad joke. The stupid pikey couldnt even spell fashion properly in her video and it all sounded like a mickey take. I heard she's a glamour model now!
