  1. Having heard that "Chasing Cars" by Snow Patrol reached 200K plays on the radio and is a regular returnee to the chart......what other songs will never fade and die? "I gotta feeling" by Black Eyed Peas seems to be another one, three years on and still around like a bad smell. Any more examples and why do you think this is? Personally, I think it's because the radio playlists are managed by faceless suits who have deals with record companies hence repeat offenders.
  2. 15 Alizee - "Moi Lolita" 12 Pink "Don't Let Me Get Me" 10 Sophie Ellis-Bextor "Get Over You/Move This Mountain" 08 Mariah Carey "Through The Rain" 06 Coldplay "The Scientist" 04 Alien Ant Farm "Movies" 02 Lasgo "Alone" 01 Milk Inc - Walk On Water -02 Blazin' Squad "Love on the Line" Shame Geri did badly in the 2001 vote :( I think I supplied about 75% of her vote LOL
  3. Liked it at first....hated it.....liked it....hate it and ironically as I type it's being played on the radio :arrr: The thing is, as we know radio station playlists are dictated by faceless men in suits who are obviously recession proof and get paid a fortune. This is the same faceless suits who moved all the local football commentary to DAB and MW leaving the three Birmingham clubs to carve out who is on what therefore those fans like myself who can't afford to go the game lose out as I live in an area with a poor MW signal. However....my local station does play their version of "Run"......waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better than Leona's disney ballad version.

Jason Donovan - "Hang On To Your Love" top 10 in 1990: HRhT6aHqeg8 The second most famous mime act after Milli Vanilli...Black Box with "Fantasy" in the same year....made #6 1FziicPt9cs&ob=av2e When you think of Whigfield....you think "Saturday Night" and a one hit wonder.....she had other singles....this beauty made #7 in 1995 "Think of you" - the lyric was being changed from "need you inside me" to "beside me" - don't know why......I only found out this in 2006! Easily her best track imo BtwSxi9BGIU Follow-up to "Saturday Night"...."Another Day" but think "Saturday Night" with different lyrics and a change of tempo.....good but "Think of You" was better. Lost in the Christmas chart run-in....but made top 10: vDlw_p6g3uk Even Madge is no stranger to this......"You'll See" from late 1995. This song is sooooooooo gorgeous and emotional. I love the lyrics to this song. It wasn't even included on her Celebration Best of! :( zyFzpBAZICc&ob=av2e I know this is cheating a bit...."Take a Bow" was her first single to miss the top 10 in the UK yet one of her best selling in the US! Like "You'll See" - underrated, emotional and gorgeous. She looks stunning in this video: XDeiovnCv1o

Glad she didn't win X-Factor...thing is how long does it take to write an original song?

I think we have a very gullible public. After all, this is the country who elected David Cameron in.

I heard that EVERYWHERE when I was in Spain!
  12. Nope. Remember, Cameron is trying EVERYTHING to build up his -50 approval rating. This won't happen anyway.
  13. My seven year old niece has a 1D pencil tin...even a bed cover!! Yes they do exist....saw some Beiber ones in a shop too (official) :puke2: :puke2: I had a Birmingham City Football club pencil tin......god I got stick especially as I went to a school in an Aston Villa area!
  14. Moves Like Jagger and Love The Way You Lie....the latter was the best selling single of the year so all wasn't bad! Another unlucky one at the lower end......Hot Pantz "I want to give you one for Christmas" - mid 60s in 2004.....about #215 on 2005!

I agree about the woman singing Beyonce. No disrepect, but anyone can sing that song. It's so false and emotionless....like all of her songs.
  16. The screaming girlies have been set free on Itunes......Beiber is shit!

"Cry" is a great little ballad, and should have been a #1...."Come On Over" is a bit meh......though her final single "Sentimental" was worse....that was like a rejected national final song for Malta! I don't know if this has been posted but "Impossible" by Shontelle made top 10 in September 2010....gorgeous ballad: NWdrO4BoCu8&ob=av2e This effort from Kings of Leon has been ignored due to the obvious two repeat returners to the chart - "Radioactive": wPBbMbKSZrQ&ob=av2n Another forgotten Westlife song - "Safe": eNUTlexj7cU&ob=av2e "Hold my Hand" by Michael Jackson ft Akon has been lost and forgotten too: -oCCnxBos10&ob=av2e
  19. Mine plays a lot of forgotten top 10 hits of the last twenty years....OK, if you want to rediscover old songs.

Honestly....it's too predictable. It'll be a dance or singing act that will win.....Cowell will NOT go for a unqiue act like this talented girl from the Ukranian edition: 8yYcEX5O5a4

What I don't like about this show is, the fact people who have had a career before are trying. Surely a country of 65m would have some outstanding newbies? I think with the ex-pop stars - because the UK doesn't have open pre-selections for Eurovision (not as if we chose right anyway), this is their way to get noticed again. I liked the rock guy, but this being the UK it's all safey-safey ballad type....if this was US or any other Euro nation he'd have made it and gone far.
  22. For me it all began when I was 8 which was 1992/3 - I fell out of love with it briefly between 2007-8 just liking a few artists then 2009-11 a reignited passion. I have now fallen out of the charts as there is now as there is too many similar songs...it seems the clubbers dictate the chart. Hmmm....."Star Trekkin'" by The Firm *hides* I was 2 when it was released.

I don't do clubbing....yet again, some of the radio stations in the Midlands are a bit trite... Shayne was poorly managed by Cowell sadly....if you've got a pair of boobs or a bunch of pretty boys like 1D - he will manage you though thank god for Alexandra breaking away.
  24. Justin Beiber should be banned - can't we have some law that forbids his music to be played? As for LMFAO - It's music for drunken slappers at night clubs/parties......they're nothing but an American Jedward.

"Tiny Dancer" what a joke.....saying that, anyone remember this from late 2007: "Heartbroken" T2 ft Jodie Aisha....I was sick of hearing this on the bus journey to and from work - I think now it's forgotten all bar a few nostalgics: UTVeuMJd83o&ob=av3n To me after Alexandra Burke...the best winner of X Factor Shayne Ward has been forgotten....I doubt anyone knows these from 2007: "No You Hang Up" 6fI_SyKGef4&ob=av2n "Breathless" - yes the lyrics are cheesy to this, but I do like it. aDHqPdybUOA
