  1. Wannabe is popular among youngsters who are the majority in streaming and Stop is doing really well too but the numbers show that Stop is popular in some region only probabaly in the UK. The US is the biggest streaming market so that helps boost up sales for American artists very well especially with big catalouges. TLC's Crazysexycool was around 7XP same as Spice in 2000s but just hit Diamond status probably last year thanks to streaming. It's such a shame that they were huge, impactful but short-lived in the US and in the world. Their sales outside UK barely moved since then. And seeing Victoria doesn't want to join or perform ever again, I just don't understand how is movie gonna sell? I swear tons of youngsters today don't really know how massive the Spice Girls were and still are. Anyway, it's nice seeing the four girls trying to come up with something but leave the iconic video alone, girls. :D
  2. Thanks a lot Jay. Their laziness really hurts their streaming numbers, sigh.
  3. I thought you two hated Wannabe. :heehee:
  4. It's so goooood. Up there with Who I Am. Time to restock that violet vinyl.
  5. How much does Wannabe cost on UK iTunes? Next year it's gonna be 25th anniversary you know. If only Spice fans can unite and do something about it. It's how you play the games these days.
  6. Hopefully Geri is still on board by then. :cheer:
  7. Top 20, actually Top 15
  8. Apparently PCD are coming to Bangkok some time next year. The date will be announced soon, probably the second half of the year. I guess the negotiations are always going on behind the scenes in the industry. Can we still expect the world tour annoucment this year from the girls? Looks like Australia has flatten the curve. I read that Live Nation plans to go back to full capacity live concerts starting last quarter next year, before that it can't be full so they have to cut the pay for the artists. Would love full capacity for the girls. Social distancing is not for Spiceworld lol
  9. Six week lockdown for Melbourne due to second spike. I don't think September announcement would be possible.
  10. Yellow man means Asian man. Some might find it racist, some might not. Personally, I don't get offended by this line but I can still demand change. Why not. Change it or not it's their decision. No need to be overprotective. They're all humans after all.
  11. Some whites call Asians yellow, Sammy.
  12. It's not about clothes you need to replace it with black, brown or white to get the picture. I'm sure they didn't mean it in a bad way and it was a long time ago but it sure can cause uncomfortable feelings for some people.
  13. Yes, the first time is quite exciting, k-pop pretty much takes over now in Asia and a lot of girl or even boy groups get influenced by the spice girls more or less. If you mention the biggest girl group of all time, the spice girls would be the first name you think of. But it's been over twenty years and we lost contact with them since 2000 but their name is sure still here so I don't know. Anyway, are you sure they're gonna play stadiums here?
  14. Playing arenas here in Asia isn't bad though. Japan is the second biggest market in the music industry behind the US. Their physical market is still the biggest and main market, they buy records and go to concerts. One dome or one arena in Japan could make around one stadium in Europe, 5-6 million, others are small but they'll pay you a good price like Hong Kong, Taipei, Singapore. And there is also the kind of behavior that won't buy records but love concerts very much that would be today Bangkok and The Philippines. But back in the day, we did buy those albums, the 80-90s kids. The girls came from the era we did that we collected the money, went to store and bought the albums. The girls sold millions here in Asia, over one million in Japan alone, physicals. And if they decided to play, that means the promoters probably agreed to give the money they asked for and I'm sure it's not small.
  15. Asia stadiums? Is this legit? I can imagine they can play dome(s) in Japan which is considered indoor stadium but other than that where? Singapore? It is very hard for female western artists to play stadiums here. Madonna's done it all outdoor stadiums, domes, indoor arenas in Asia. The last western female artist who could do stadiums is probably Lady Gaga and it was 2012, she came during one of her peak years, yet could only do Seoul and Bangkok other than that they're all arenas. If the girls could do stadiums here at this stage of their career it will be very very impressive.
  16. One concert per region won't cover the costs, I don't know what they're thinking in 2007-2008.
  17. Here hoping everything will go well.
  18. Are you saying the girls will play Glasto? Everything is planned of course because we have to be ready right away when this virus is over. I am quite positive that the Brits will be alright by then, you will get the vaccine, Glasto could happen. Just be careful about the timing of the world tour announcement that's all I hope.
  19. It's important for money, Sammy. I really don't want them to look bad and only care about money when people are still dying. To be honest, if you're announing the tour during uncertain time it will look ignorant, reckless, careless and greedy. I mean I don't want them to be the first to do it this time. Don't rush that's all I say. They already got bad reputation about being greedy, don't forget. This tour is supposed to be helping people, uniting, positivity and bringing joy and hope for us. You're right timing is very important but I hope they take everything into account, not just the money, before making the decision.
  20. Faith in Buzzjack restored. Protect Jay at all costs.
  21. That's only two months from now. How this is gonna work? I understand the touring business is eager to get back asap, the pandemic has affected tons of its people worldwide but this is a huge gamble. We wouldn't want to hear the Spice Girls tour causes the new clusters and the second wave, would we? Also, in Asia I'm pretty sure they'll play indoor arenas. All concerts have been rescheduled to next year, that's the plan for the whole industry I believe, but we can't be so sure it's gonna happen. Anyway, I hope eveything goes well for them.
  22. The UK will probably get the vaccine first early next year. They're on human trial phase now. Asia was the first to face the virus and took it seriously, businesses are already back up and running again in my country with the new normal of course but it's still a risk indeed to gather a lot of people. The US and South America would be the last to get out of it. To be a hundred percent sure for now, yes we still need a vaccine. We still have time though, hopefully the tour can happen.
  23. I don't want to get my hopes up but would you tell me where? I need to plan stuff, it's fine if you don't want to though, I can wait. And looks like it's not small is it? Please tell them to extend the tour, use the same name, it would really feel like they come to unite us all and of course for record's sake.
  24. Quit playing games with my heart Sammy.
