US iTunes Top 100 [APR-OCT 2010]
Yeah, they spent a few weeks at the top. They're one of the best selling singles of the year in the US after all...

US iTunes Top 100 [APR-OCT 2010]
It will though. Today was a Fairytale had record-breaking 1st sales and it was extremely weak and it had no airplay.

Best Selling Girlband: UK Sales
But Sugababes per capta sales are still higher. I think the fair way to compare sales is to do an average of their sales by album and singles. Otherwise, the act who releases more album will end up at number 1, even if all of them have really mediocre sales.

Best Selling Girlband: UK Sales
Spice Girls were legendary and, by far, the best girlgroup the UK has seen imo.

Robbie back with TT
I dunno. They obviously REALLY enjoy being on stage in front of millions of people. You see their concerts and you see they're as excited as the audience. And the only way for them to have this -- with the exception of Robbie -- is to stick together as Take That. So no, I don't think they'll stop anytime soon. And I really bet they'll tour internationally. Take That aren't as big as they are in the UK anywhere else right now but Robbie is huge worldwide. So Robbie being with them will probably help Take That move up from arenas to stadiums in the markets they sell well and Robbie sell EXTREMELY well: Germany, Spain, Netherlands, maybe France. I'm not excited about Robbie being back with them. Not at all. I don't like him and I think he and Take That are two completely different entities. But whatever, I'm really excited for new music and, most of all, for a new tour.

That was staged.

Do you really think Start All Over was better than The Climb, Party in the USA, When I Look at You, etc? Oh well, that's your opinion. Still, liking 3 of her singles is actually quite substantial since she didn't had that many. Honestly though, I don't get the hate for Party in the USA. It's a catchy fun song, a TYPICAL Dr. Luke (TiK ToK, Hot and Cold, California Gurls, etc etc etc) song. Start all Over and Fly on the Wall, THOSE were weak singles in my opinion.

LOL @ people claiming they're supporting Miley now cause her new single is actually good. Who the hell are you guys kidding? Have you even HEARD Miley previous singles? Can't be Tamed is the EXACT SAME LEVEL of quality as See You Again, Party in the USA, etc. In fact, CBT is produced and writen by the same people who produced most of her albums. Such a joke. You guys are supporting Miley now and weren't supporting her then not because her music changed (it didn't AT ALL. Her image did, not her songs) but because, until today, you were looking at her with extreme prejudice. Plain and simple. Me too, to be honest. Party in the USA was much catchier and had a much better overall production. No wonder it did so much better in the US in comparision to her new song (which is good too).

Will Young is managed by Simon Fuller.

US iTunes Top 100 [APR-OCT 2010]
Miley is doing well but I really don't think she'll open with anywhere near 300k. Although I hope she does, it was extremely unfair how Party in the USA never got to the top.

US iTunes Top 100 [APR-OCT 2010]
It was released late last night, right? It's at #11 now. At this point, in which position Eminem and Katy Perry were?

US iTunes Top 100 [APR-OCT 2010]
There's almost no doubt Eminen will top the Hot 100 next week. Although it was quite obvious Usher would top this week too.

iTunes Chart: May I
Probably never. It was released in Germany because it's part of the soundtrack of a successful local movie and it was made especially for the movie so it probably won't be released anywhere else.

Will this ever be beaten?
Girls Aloud? Kylie Minogue? Those acts are big but most of their albums haven't sold 700k during their entire chart run, much less in a single week. Let's be realistic here, people! That said, I really doubt anyone will match those numbers. Take That, Kings of Leon and Coldplay are the biggest selling acts in the UK and they wouldn't be able to do it...

Hits Daily Double - US Top 50 Albums
Justin Bieber did well but for all the hype, I thought it was a little disappointing. Remember when the Jonas Brothers opened with 500k two years ago?

Christina Aguilera - Not Myself Tonight
Wow, this sucks really bad. Especially since it's a comeback single. Incredibly disappointing and generic. Hated it. I don't think it'll reach #1 but it'll do well since Christina is a huge name and all.

iTunes Thread. March Part 3.
What? I Like will be released in the UK? It's a good song but it was made especially to the German market, written and produced by Germany songwriters/producers so they could use in a German movie, I didn't think it would be released anywhere else...

iTünes Thread · MARCH (PART II) Broken Down
I thought Telephone video was ridiculous. Incoherent, had absolutely nothing to do with the song and, above all, did nothing to make the music get stuck in your head. Underwhelming. Also, the amount of product placement was RIDICULOUS (Polaroid, Virgin Mobile, Miracle Whip, Wonder Breads, plentyoffish.com), especially considering how much Gaga insists she doesn't care about money (and inundating your "masterpiece" with product placements is quite ridiculous and contradicting). Plus, I don't think the song will be huge, honestly... the video did nothing for do the song.

Does she have any other international performance scheduled?

The curse of the tricky 2nd album syndrome
First of all, Rihanna's Rated R is NOWHERE as big as GGGB yet so why is she on the list? Also, Miley? WTF? Miley isn't an album seller, she's a franchise. She doesn't sell MUSIC, she sell HERSELF. Don't forget she just had an HUMUNGOUS British arena tour so I don't even see why she's on the list. Plus, My December is Kelly Clarkson's third album. Mika is underperforming cause his first album is almost identical as his first. He was the "new" cool thing that was hyped, people loved it and then grew tired of it but his second album still has the exact same sound. Leona Lewis suffered from a similar thing: she was hyped to death, everybody loved her initially, grew tired and her second album brought nothing new to the table (and yes, it is underperforming and it probably is selling less than what her record company expected). Timbaland still can resurface but the main reason why he's not doing that well is because his music was so absurdly overplayed a few years ago, his trademark style now sounds aged. Jay Sean and Jordin Sparks are underperforming cause neither of them have an stable fanbase.

Cheryl Cole '3 Words' [Worldwide Chart Topic]
Also, about France: PLENTY of US pop/R&B acts are very popular there: Britney, Rihanna, Black Eyed Peas, Jay-Z, Norah Jones etc. UK acts are also popular: Mika is a HUGE phenomenon, Duffy, Amy Winehouse, Robbie Williams, Seal...

50 Highest Grossing Tours Of 2009
It is US-centric. Since they're a magazine who's whole point is to track those things down, it's not like they should be waiting Take That's people to send them everything without them moving a finger. Until Norma e-mailed them, they probably had no idea TT should be on the list. I'm pretty sure they would GO AFTER the numbers if it was a famous American popstar but since it isn't (and they're not famous in the US), they don't care if the list is not complete.

Cheryl Cole '3 Words' [Worldwide Chart Topic]
When will she begin promoting the single and the album outside the UK? Right now, all she did were some pointless performances in Germany that I think weren't even aired on television. She was suppose to be on the NRJ Music Awards but no sign of her there. She was also supposed to be at Wetten...Dass? but according to their official website she's not on the official line-up (at least not yet).

Musical: Viva Forever
WRONG. ABBA was also seen as a "novelty act", a critical flop and they were never taken seriously by music fans. They only got the respect they have right now AFTER "Mamma Mia". Also, ANYONE born in the late 80s/early 90s from any part of the world remember them vividly.
