X Factor/ BGT album battle 25th Nov 13
Susan Boyle will probably do somewhat better than expected but One Direction will top the charts followed by Gary Barlow.

The X Factor · Guest Performances
Miley Cyrus will be performing on The X Factor on November 20th

The X Factor · Guest Performances
Yes, but she hasn't performed Roar on British TV once and I highly doubt she'll officially start TV promotion without singing the first single. She'll be back in Europe in November so she'll probably promote Unconditional then.

The X Factor · Guest Performances
I think she'll sing Roar. Maybe she'll do Roar with the contestants and then Unconditional solo but, if she only has one performance slot, I feel like she'll perform Roar.

Predict: Gary Barlow - Let Me Go
Top 5 surely. Maybe even top 2. I don't think he'll top the charts tho...

The X Factor · Guest Performances
The ones I'm 100% sure will be performing this year are all the X Factor related acts (Gary Barlow; Little Mix; Rebecca Fergunson; Olly Murs; Cher Lloyd; James Arthur; JLS; Union J; One Direction; Leona Lewis) and the big Q4 releases: Katy Perry; Miley Cyrus and Robbie Williams. Others that I think have a huge chance of being on the show: Justin Timberlake; Celine Dion and Lady Gaga. Those are all pretty obvious. Apparently, Gloria Estefan would also perform which I think is random but she is an iconic performer so... No, that's fake. She is not allowed to perform CONCERTS in the US but she is free to perform in TV shows. However, I doubt she'll be on the X Factor and, giving how disappointing her performances are of late, I think her handlers are being smart on not letting her perform on TV. It's not good publicity imo.

Predict: Little Mix - "Move"
Well, it's obvious they'll have an X Factor slot, isn't it? I still think, best case scenario, they will go top 3.

Disneys official top 10 biggest-selling pop princesses
All of her biggest hits, which as Eric_Blob mentioned probably had good trickle sales and long chart runs, have been her solo hits (The Climb was a Miley Cyrus single but was actually the main song for the Hannah Montana Movie) but I think her Hannah Montana soundtrack CDs had decent sales also.

Disneys official top 10 biggest-selling pop princesses
What a failed logic. Selling 100k tickets to her London concerts in minutes is surely a bigger sign of being huge than having a number 1 hit, something that has been achieved by hundreds of acts no one even bought one album for. Selena Gomez and Hilary Duff had top 10 hits long before Miley and that didn't change the fact Miley was much bigger than either of them in the UK. Obviously, chart positions aren't everything. And anyway, her current success is the direct result of the fact she was extremely well-known for years. It's not like she's been doing any huge type of promo for the last few years, people were checking for her solely because she was Miley Cyrus.

Predict: Little Mix - "Move"
Considering they outsell The Saturdays and actually have some semblance of career internationally, I would say they are. I dislike them both but Little Mix is clearly more commercially successful. The Sats have a longer history of being limited successful but, currently, Little Mix are bigger. And lol, just realized this discussion has been done to death and there's no point in arguing with The Sat loons. Only they would think The Sats mediocre careers and achievements amount to anything or that they rival Little Mix, with their much stronger PR support. Neither of them are really huge among the mainstream but Little Mix definitely has a much bigger advantage currently, not to mention some international popularity.

Disneys official top 10 biggest-selling pop princesses
The Climb, Fly on the Wall, 7 Things, Party in the USA and See You Again probably sold much more than people expected even tho they never reached the top 10. Miley performed all of them on huge, highly-rated TV shows in the UK. Besides, Hannah Montana soundtracks probably sold quite alright, even though it failed to catch people's attention 'cause they weren't listed on the regular album charts (they were on the Compilations list). I don't know why people are so surprised with Miley's recent success. She has always been huge in the UK. A few years ago, she sold out five O2 Arena concerts in like minutes, didn't she?

Predict: Little Mix - "Move"
Britain's current 2nd biggest girlgroup? LMAO, even with their mediocre sales, they still the biggest by far. And I think it'll go 4 or 5.

US iTunes Top 100 [AUG-DEC 2013]
Nope. Unless her performance is AMAZING, Katy will probably be #1. Not to mention Robin Thicke and Miley will also be performing (Blurred Lines and We Can't Stop respectively) and their singles are all performing much better even though they're not recent.

LOL, some of you are reaching hard. Gaga's single is not bombing and it's obvious she "couldn't wait till the official release week" like Katy Perry did 'cause Katy's song leaked on Saturday afternoon, less than 2 days before the release week, while Gaga's Applause leaked a full week in advance.

So Lady Gaga is releasing her single today. The war is ON!

Your opinions on the Thatcher chart campaign
That's debatable http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/comm...er-exhumed.html. Oh, and she supported apartheid and described Nelson Mandela as a "terrorist".... mm....

It was featured in Girls. The show also boosted Dancing on my Own.

This years X Factor guest performances boosts
It did OK worldwide but box office in the UK was quite mediocre and the X Factor appearance was to promote the movie in the UK

iTunes Weekly Thread: W/C 2nd December 2012
I really hope Bruno takes the number 1 this week. The Power of Love is such an empty, cliche song. Well, we will have to agree to disagree because if there's something Xtina was never even CLOSE to Gaga imo is cultural relevance and press coverage.

LOL, ironically enough Love&War would be a perfect debut single for Melanie Amaro.

Except she obviously was not. Like, her album went Diamond because it was the record industry best days but her impact and her overall popularity were much smaller than Gaga circa Bad Romance

US iTunes Top 100 [JUL-DEC 2012]
Wow, this also confuses me so much. I like the song but how did this get big all of sudden? Before the Gaga tweet, the song was already 2. And it was NOWHERE before the release, it seems impossible it exploded so fast. Like, it's not like it was an upheld release with millions of views on YT, none of the videos have over 200k views (up to now, obviously). And I know she stars a reality show but its on such a small network. Wow, very odd.

I don't even like Britney, but no, they're not. Will.I.Am is ubiquitous and can score hits in some countries but he is hardly a big superstar solo act. He couldn't even sell out an arena tour. Alongside Black Eyed Peas, MAYBE but even so their popularity took a huge nosedive with their last album/overexposure.

This years X Factor guest performances boosts
Don't think so. Rihanna performed twice in one season; so did Robbie Williams in 2009 and Take That in 2010. There's usually one act that performs twice each season. Well, not everyone listen to radio and it was the first time the song was played on a national TV show. Besides, those who listen to the current hits are usually young people while X Factor has a more general audience. Plus, sometimes a song only "hits" you after you've seen a great performance of it. It's easy to ignore a song that is hammered down your throat by radio and then love it once you actually pay attention to a great performance.
