  1. LOL stop being obtuse. Madonna and Mariah Carey are legendary acts (as is Paul McCartney; Celine Dion, etc). Cee-Lo Green is not. He ihad a few huge hits a few years ago but now is a nobody who is persona nongrata in most US media due to the fact he is a rapist. Hardly comparable.
  2. Cee-Lo? I mean, ratings are dropping but they could at least try and have A-list acts. At least Fleur isn't a rapist.
  3. I can easily bet Adele will exceed 200k copies in the first week.
  4. LOL what? Adele is OBVIOUSLY getting the #1. 1D have no chance against her. And people thinking 500k for Adele is "widely optimistic" are seriously underestimating her. In any case, 1D album is out on Nov 14th. Same day as Bieber. The week after Adele's album will be out. Confirmed by Billboard and HDD.
  5. I thought chances would be slim for Taylor Swift cause she has some gigs on the weekend in NYC but her fansites are saying she'll be in London on Sunday for the final.
  6. LOL, people really thought These Days would miss the top 5? Like, the possibility of that happening was so low. People are always underestimating Take That.
  7. I think they'll easily bet Sheeran's first week record.
  8. Taylor Swift, Sam Smith, One Direction and Take That are obviously performing at some point. Demi Lovato with Cher Lloyd and Ariana Grande are strong possibilities.
  9. Being basic as hell was never an obstacle for Taylor Swift unfortunately
  10. Yeah, no. You need a rabid fanbase that is willing to buy your complete album. Rihanna and the other pop girls have worldwide appeal but most of the public is only here for the singles. Especially in the US, which is the main market.
  11. LOL, as if being a pop girl with fans is enough to have an album debut and strategy like what Beyonce's did.
  12. I think it's funny you guys think anyone besides Adele can pull off a successful surprise release like Beyoncé's
  13. It;ll be Adele. It wouldn't work for anyone else.
  14. I'm pretty sure both Take That and Adele will release albums at the end of the year and will probably end top 2. Ed Sheeran, One Direction and Coldplay will also be huge sellers. 1. Adele 2. Take That 3. Ed Sheeran 4. One Direction 5. Coldplay
  15. 1D always have HUGE drops, haven't they? I don't think they'll beat Emeli Sande
  16. You don't measure someone's success solely on sales of ONE album. If someone had out-of-this-world phenomenal sales for one album and then became C-listers, then they're obviously not more commercially successful than someone that has maintained really good and stable sales for all their albums and singles. He does. I think the "exhaustion" thing is just b.s. to hype the performance more. But he was terribly managed, he had so much potential and his winning single reached extremely high position all over Europe and in Australia which was very shocking. And he ruined it all with his terrible attitude.
  17. Nah, that's One Direction. She was the hottest thing ever for like 5 minutes then everyone in the world forgot about her. Better to have Olly Murs career -- which is very decent -- than hers. EDIT: lmao, sorry, didn't noticed everyone had already said the exact same thing before me. Anyway, completely uninspired choices for the last two weeks. X Factor is so repetitive in everything, including guest slots. Out of all performers this year, only 4 had not performed in the show before (Ellie Goulding; Cher; Mary J Blige; Robin Thicke). So, confirmed for the final so far: Katy Perry and Elton John. Who else you guys think will perform? Last year they had plenty of performers.

Of course Capital is playing Dizzee, he is one of the acts in their Jingle Bell Ball concert.
  19. JLS on the 10th Nov? According to ITV Press Centre it's Robbie Williams and Celine Dion but they may have three performers that day.
  20. No one cares about Gaga's "immense" performances at this point, she should try something more stripped down and focused on one song.....

Katy's doing better than I expected actually
  22. Nah, I'm pretty sure Katy Perry chose to sing "Roar". Which was the most logical choice anyway, giving that it was still getting airplay and still top 10. No reason to push out the new single so early. Besides, her first big "Unconditional" TV performance will be on the Europe Music Awards and that was already announced weeks prior to her performance. I doubt it but we'll see. Anyway, there's only 18 spots for musical guests on the X Factor, not including the finale. So there's only 11 guest spots left and most of them are really easy to guess: James Arthur; One Direction; Robbie Williams; Celine Dion; Miley Cyrus; Olly Murs; Mariah Carey; Gary Barlow; Cher Lloyd and JLS. Very predictable. So there's only one guest spot left (tabloids were saying Gloria Estefan?) and the finale guests.
  23. But Sweeter than Fiction is the theme song of a Simon Cowell movie and we all know he loves his cross-promotion. I would be very surprised if she didn't end up singing Sweeter than Fiction tbh.
  24. So Venus isn't the second single anymore and DO What U Want is officially the single.... will she still perform Venus next week then?
  25. So Gaga, Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber all releasing new songs this Monday.
