Highest New Entry: The Script debut at 2, but a future contender for number 1 debuts at 19 this week, watch this space!!!! Biggest Faller: The Kooks, The Ting Tings and Basshunter are down 6 places to numbers 20, 14 and 9 respectively. Highest Climber: 7 new entries maybe but no climbers this week. Longest Runner: Madonna takes over the title with a 14th week, on my chart. Tip For Next Week's Chart: Look out for Chicane, Ultrabeat, The Script or The Saturdays in next weeks chart. I promised short and sweet and that is what you get, with the obligatory spelling mistake, which reminds of something I did yesterday when typing up a script but thats not for these pages!!!! Please leave your comments below, all variety of comments appreciated and I will try and reply to as many as possible, a big thank you to everyone who commented last week, and I will see you in seven days time!!!!
  2. Hey everyone, keeping it short and sweet this week, I've been working in London this last fortnight so that is the excuse for my chart being slightly late this week, but I'm going to cut the waffle and get on with it so I can go to bed  This week is clearout central, as there are 7 brand new entries in the top 20, so a long list of dropouts looks a little like this... Dropouts: 20 - Ashlee Simpson - Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya) {2 - 4 - 8 - 9 - 12 - 16 - 16 - 19 - 20 - 20 - 20} 19 - Wideboys featuring Shaznay Lewis - Daddy-O {3 - 1 - 1 - 2 - 7 - 8 - 11 - 15 - 15 - 18 - 19 - 19 - 19} 18 - Coldplay - Viva La Vida {15 - 9 - 4 - 12 - 15 - 17 - 18} 17 - Black Kids - Hurricane Jane {5 - 8 - 13 - 16 - 18 - 17} 16 - Buy Now - Body Crash {16 - 2 - 3 - 5 - 9 - 15 - 16} 9 - Sugababes - About You Now {10 - 9} 4 - Black Kids - Listen To Your Body Tonight {11 - 4} Both Black Kids singles leave the chart, but seeing as one is an album track that shouldn't come as much of a surprise, also the token re-entry from Sugababes also has to be removed to make way for this week's new entries. But can Dizzee Rascal and Calvin Harris be the first act in over 3 months to make it more than 3 weeks at number and battle on for a fourth week???? Stay here and you will find out very soon, but kicking off an action packed top 20 is a record that is one of this week's 3 biggest fallers, of which all have been in the chart for 5 weeks. It's down 6 places to number 20 for The Kooks with 'Shine On', let's get it on............

Yeah I think Katy Perry won't be number 1 for at least a week or two as some people, like myself, wait until we get closer to release date to chart these singles, still cant get over Ting Tings at number 1, thought they'd be beaten but glad Dizzee and Calvin climb, awesome top 3

  7. Hey guys, thank you to everyone for replying to this week's chart, really appreciate you letting me know what you're loving in my countdown, and if anyone else has anything to add please do so now
  8. With popularity bars like that for Katy, I wonder if she could just sell enough to stop Kid Rock on Sunday, oh how I live in eternal optimism  The chart still bores me, so I have no further comment to make as we all now how slow it is becoming, sad times  but yay for The Saturdays!!!!!!!!
  9. Bought a 3 CD album called 'Sunset to Sunrise' I think, but it is so awesome, got it for £11.93 at Tesco!!!! Will look in Zavvi/HMV London tomorrow, see if i can find any bargains single wise

Stuff the lyrics, the tune is petty bouncy hehe Anyway, as long as she could stop Kid c**k I will buy the song 14,000 times just to make sure, if I had enough money though This doesnt make sense, bed I think
  12. Geraldine was in one word just stunning, this one is as good, and I'm very tempted to get the album, I hope this record does really well, maybe top 10 this time, shame Geraldine lost out on a top 10

Highest Climber: Last weeks new entry from Black Kids rises 7 places to 4, though Kylie and Adele are also worthy of a mention. Longest Runner: The Wideboys and Madonna now spend their 13th week, unlucky for some, on my chart. Tip For Next Week's Chart: Look out for The Saturdays, Chicane and The Script, all charting in the next fortnight. That's my chart for this week, hope you enjoyed the music, and as ever, please feel ffree to comment on any aspect of my chart, what you like and what you dont like...the usual, all comments are welcome and very much appreciated, thank you to everyone who continuously takes the time to comment every week, its nice t read through them all!!!! Until next week :cheer:
  16. :cheer: Hey to everyone, and welcome to a brand new singles chart!!!! Slightly early this week because I'm away in London for the next four weeks working as an assitant to a fairly well known director in the arts, which is very very excited, which means long days and late nights, so with a bit of time to spare, here is a brand new countdown!!!! This week, there are no new entries, I felt like a static week, and then next week is all change, more about that in a bit, so instead of the regular dropout section I would normally post, instead I thought I'd do something diffferent and leave a contender for number 1 for the next few weeks so the top 20 will begin after a tip for the top: Tip for the Top: Chicane vs Natasha Bedingfield - Bruised Water 3kicvXDzirE Let's get into this week's fairly static countdown, with the same record for the third week running, its 11 weeks in total for Ashlee Simpson with the brilliant 'Outta My Head', in its last week in my chart???? You'll have to be here next week to find out......
  17. Tbh, I'd rather McFly got to number than Kid Rock, but that would be just as horrible, but I'd say Katy Perry all the way, if not this week than next

I initially refused to look for it on you tube because - and no offence to anyone  - but most songs that are praised on BJ tend be the likes of Rihanna and Jordin Sparks for example, but this is great heard it on radio 1 last weekend, it is a tune and i think will be number one, hopefully this week or possibly the week after, but they should bring the physical forward or this si going to be another slow burn out record Will the remix, the Nikki Bliss chart this week or not, cos i cant see it on the mids yet if a records been top 20 for a few days it normally sell senough for low top 30/40

No. i like the track but it will have to be number 1 on itunes from tomorrow onwards and also sell at least 10k physically, personally, it would be great to see this at number 1, but its going to get stuck behind the likes of kid rock and jordin sparks, preventing it from being top, but definetly top 10, top 5 with good physical sales
  23. I have to say, i heard this for the FIRST time on Radio 1 this morning, and i do rather like it (no pun inteneded) I think its a different sound for the whole singer/songwriter genre ala, James Blunt and Sara bareilles, which for me are very bland and lame in comparison to this, its very edgy, hope this grows on me more and more
  24. 1Dave2006 posted a post in a topic in Personal Charts
Never in a million years did I expect The Ting Tings to get another number 1, I was convinced Dizzee and Calvin would at least make a second week, great top 3 though, one of the best in the multichart for a LONG time!!!!

God, thankfully I am not the only person to have been sad enough to write down the charts in a notebook, I used to use the spare pages int he back of old school text books, the ones that smelt of salmon and came in the really lary colours!!!! I wrote down my first chart in 1999 I think, the year Ronan Keating was number one with his first record, I'd always followed the charts on Top Of The Pops, I always listened to The Pepsi Chart with Neil Fox back in the day, but I found that chart really slow and boring, I think I found Radio 1 a year later, in 2000. I'd say my fave charts were more in the late 90's/early 00's so I don't know what to vote for!!!! Absolutley agree about the downloads, the chart has become so dead week in week out I have sadly now, after 10 years of religiously tuning in at 4pm, stopped listening to the chart and it makes me very sad and nostalgic
