Friday Night Project
oh yeah alan and justin are brilliant, i love FNP so so so so much i get excited everytime it comes back  tonights was probably the best of the series. I mean as much as i loved david tennant hosting i kinda felt i knew what to expect seeing as it was his second time, but geri was really good, better than i expected, she really threw herself into and played up to alan and justins jokes, so hopefully gok wan will be just as good, and fingers crossed it will be back soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Ordinary Boys Officially Split
Yeah, I'm not surprised in the slightest by this, however, I only really liked their stuff post-Big Brother, for example, Lonely At The Top and 9 to 5 but they had potential but they wasted thier one opportunity. CBB definetly was the final nail in the coffin, only the single sold well, the album still struggled even with the exposure. TBH, a greatest hits would be pointless and, as others have mentioned, a solo album would be a really really bad idea!!!!

iTunes Download Chart April 08
why the hell are nickleback climbing again and scouting for girls being top 10 makes me sick, horrible songs, it annoys me that The Last Shadow Puppets are falling in favour of this c**p...the british public really really annoy me......least madonna's number 1, rubbish rubbish chart... i dont understand why so many singles in the last two months or so chart well in the first week/2 weeks then as soon as the physical comes out the downloads suddenly stall or drop dramatically, yet (and i dont mean to generalise) the chav songs like nickleback, chris brown, one republic, flo-rida all continue to sell and hang around for ages..grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Twists in films
I'm going to go quite far back for my suggestion. Has anyone seen 'Dead Again', it's got Derek Jacobi, Emma Thompson and Kenneth Brannagh in it. Basically, Emma Thompson's character starts dreaming about a woman called Margeret, who gets murdered, she thinks her husband did it, and the guy that Kenneth Brannagh plays is the man she loves and she fears through the dreams, that history will repeat itself and he will murder her...follow me so far???? Anyway, I won't spoil it, but the ending happens so fast that you don't see it coming and takes your breath away, it was awesome, absolutely love that film!!!!

Dave's Brand Spanking New Singles Chart (Week 14: 17.04.08)
Hello to everyone in Buzzjack land, on a relatively sunny Wednesday morning. To quote my Facebook status I'm 'too busy facebooking your mum to do any work' (!!!!) so here is my chart a day early, as I should be getting on with my uni work :( Anyway, here's this week's statistics, on the chart today we have 3 brand new entries and several casualties. Infact, the songs that disappear are featured below: Dropouts 20 - Timbaland featuring Keri Hilson and Nicole Scherzinger - Scream {4 - 9 - 14 - 16 - 20} 18 - Duffy - Mercy {2 - 4 - 6 - 8 - 10 - 14 - 18} 10 - The Rolling Stones - She's A Rainbow {10} NEW ENTRY The Rolling Stones were going to climb this week, but because of an extra new entry, I've had to let them go but they will be back because I think the single is brilliant!!!! We also say farewell to Timbaland, whose chart runs on my chart are half that on the Official Top 40 Chart, and Duffy Will Sam Sparro be able to stay at the top of my chart for a second week?? Expect tough competition this week from The Last Shadow Puppets, Estelle, Madonna and this week's new entries!!!! Let's get into the chart now, and here is this week's number 20......

Future No.1's predicta
Madonna - 4 Minutes I think this will get at least a week at number one with a physical release, not on downloads, love this track Wiley - Wearing My Rolex Brilliant track, this really should be a surprise hit, I'm thinking number 2 maybe 3 on a good week Will.I.Am feat Cheryl Cole - Heartbreaker Really hard to predict this one, but I'll say top 5 likely Wideboys feat Shaznay Lewis - Daddy O Love love love this track so much, deserves to be huge but as its on AATW, I'll say top 10 Jordin Sparks & Chris Brown - No Air Because of the featured artist, I hate this and hope it flops...it won't though so top 10 Ting Tings - That's Not My Name This is a grower...love it so much, maybe a surprise top 5, but top 10 again easily Duffy - Warwick Avenue I think this will struggle but it will help album sales, so maybe just top 10, more likely top 20 Sara Bareilles - Love Song I've not heard this yet, if its doing that well without promo this could be a top 5 Ricki-Lee - Can't Touch It As said, if this is a Hard2Beat release this could be top 10 easily, look at September/Basshunter/H'Two'O Rihanna - Take A Bow I have heard this and I do not like this at all, hopefully top 20 but could scrape top 5 Andy Abraham - Even If ????...this will be lucky to get top 20 with promo let alone top 5, Eurovision tracks dont usually chart that well Usher - Love In This Club This is the biggest of the tracks mentioned, unfortunately. I hate Usher but this wil be top 3, please not number 1 Other than that, nothing on the release schedule shouts number 1 or even top 3 hit, so I really don't know. I think, after Estelle getting to number one which I really didnt see coming, Madonna should get one week, maybe Usher could get some time with a physical release, but like I say, the charts are so unpredictable at the moment I've found it so hard to guess what will happen!!!!

Friday Night Project
I thought Mariah was good, she was more into the show than Kanye West was and she seemed quite happy at points to laugh at herself, but she wasnt as consistent as David Tennant, who is my favourite of this series so far. Elijah Wood was good but I wasn't too fussed with his show. I'm looking forward to seeing Geri Halliwell doing it this week, Mel C did a good job last year, so hopefully Geri will be able to join in the jokes and have more fun with it. Though, I only found out recently that FNP was originally hosted by Jimmy Carr and some other people...goos job they got Justin and Alan cos they make me laugh so so much, way better comically than Jimmy 'one trick' Carr!!!!!

Coronation Street //
I'm posting this in all the shows I watch, like Corrie and EE, the rest  Who do you think are the most over-hyped charcters on the Street at the moment???? I vote for Michelle (I liked the charcter before this baby swap story) and David in particular because I'm bored of the characters. Also, Sean bugs me, and more than likely everyone else in this forum will agree with me!!!! What do you guys think then????
-
The EastEnders Thread
Just a quick question, do you think there are any overhyped characters in EE at the minute???? Personally, I don't want to see another episode with Ian, Stacey, Bradley, Sean or Tanya because all their stuff has taken way too much airtime. Also, i want to see EE either use Heather properly or just axe her, because she's always getting rubbish comedy storylines and the scenes she's in makes me really really angry!! So, what do you guys think??

Kylie In The USA
I just found this on the news pages on msn, thought it might be an interesting read for all us Kylie fans... The Kylie Conundrum How come our biggest female pop star of the past 20 years has never made it in America? The hoo-ha surrounding Leona Lewis becoming the first British woman to top the American charts in more than two decades begs both the general question of why it's taken so long and, more specifically, why Kylie Minogue, our biggest female pop star for the entire barren patch, has failed to make an impact in the States. And yes, I know she's Australian but you know what I mean. Kylie's lack of American success was cruelly driven home last week when, despite a media blitz including a performance on Dancing With The Stars and appearances on all the major US chat shows, her latest album, X, limped into the album charts at 139, selling a paltry five and a half thousand copies. It isn't quite true to say Ms Minogue has never had any success across the pond. She had a number three US hit with Locomotion, only her second single, way back in 1987, and she reached the same position in the album charts with Fever in 2001. What she hasn't managed, however, is to build sufficient momentum to make her a bona fide star in the States and, frankly, with her 40th birthday looming next month, it looks highly unlikely ever to happen. The beauty of pop music is that it isn't an exact science, so it's impossible to say definitively why an artist is able to crack one market and not another. Just ask Robbie Williams. Having said that, if there is any magic formula for making it in America, it's that you need to be both immensely gifted and absolutely ruthless in your pursuit of success. It's not knocking two of Britain's best loved stars to say that neither of them really fits that particular bill. Robbie and Kylie won their place in the nation's affections because of their back stories. Robbie was the wayward cheeky scamp from Take That who overcame drink and drug problems and Kylie was the girl we all wished lived next door, Charlene from Neighbours, who was corrupted by Michael Hutchence, made some poor career decisions, and got herself back on track. It's more or less the same story if you think about it. This sort of thing just doesn't wash with Americans. You've got to be good and you've got to work your, ahem, butt off. In fact, you don't even have to be that good as long as you grab every opportunity with both hands and wring every last drop of potential from it. Take Madonna for example. She is the ultimate triumph of ambition over talent. Her voice is average at best, she's never been much of a dancer, and she's not even particularly attractive in the conventional sense, but her canniness, business acumen, and formidable work ethic have made her the most successful female artist of all time. Kylie might have had a chance in the States if she (or rather, her management) had milked either or both of the chart successes mentioned above. 2001 represents the bigger missed opportunity, I think, because a big-selling album is a more solid platform than a hit single. She should have done what Natasha Bedingfield and Leona Lewis are both doing right now – camped out in the States and worked every meet and greet, every corporate function, every local radio show until she didn't know what day of the week it was. But perhaps she just didn't want it quite that much. And would we love her as much if she did? I think Kylie did miss an opportunity with the American market in 2001 but to be honest, she's doing well without them and I do have to agree with the Madonna reference, she is one clever lady!!!!
