I think its relevant to start this thread in the charts section, but if anyone wants to move it than feel free :lol: So, this is the video for the debut single from the band, comprising one member of the Arctic Monkeys and someone else from a band called The Rascals. This is the debut single, due for release on download from April 7th, and available physically on April 14th: The Last Shadow Puppets - The Age of The Understatement yfcI22BwZm8 It's all a bit like The Raconteurs, band members creating side projects. This track is a little reminiscent of Muse's 'Knights of Cydonia'. Jo Whiley played another track by a guy whos sound has also influenced the band but I cant for the life of me remember who she said!!!!!! All this aside, I absolutley LOVE this track and think it could be a masive hit, I'd go as far as saying that this has the potential to be number 1, but its got to be a gauranteed top 5 hit, what do you guys think????

have just seen episodes 8 and 9 of series 2!!!! The first episode (bbc2) was good, though i would have liked to have seen more of Richard Briers, i thnk he's one of the best actors in the uk. I thought it was a bit of a let down compared to last week where Owen was fighting 'death', whereas this one was more about him dealing with whats happened, and im not sure it worked, it was brilliantly written but i'm not sure Episode 9, on the other hand, was absolutely awesome, i wont give anything away, but it was a fast paced episode, as Gwen prepares for her wedding. The script was well written and the trailer for episode 10...all i can is 'scary'. I'm loving torchwood so much at the moment. Love it love it love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Episode 8: 8/10 Episode 9: 9/10

i liked the first episode, i have to say i thought the script was good, yeah ok it wasnt brilliant but it may be on eof those slow burners, where it gets better over the coming weeks...maybe i thought the 2 lead actors were great, but then again i love michelle collins, i especially loved her in doctor who (!!!!!) but im definetly going to stick with it for a few weeks
