Dave's Brand Spanking New Singles Chart: Week 2 (24.01.08)
10 - Rihanna - Don't Stop The Music {10} Ur0yYfNEbCA I never thought I'd see the day Rihanna would chart, especially as I'm one of those people who still holds her responsible for last year's rubbish summer!!!! This could be a one-off appearence, but it is a great sample!!!! 9 - Sugababes - Change {7 - 1 - 1 - 6 - 9} 8 - Filo and Peri featuring Eric Lumiere - The Anthem {5 - 4 - 3 - 8} 7 - Mika - Relax, Take It Easy {4 - 7} 6 - Robyn - Be Mine {2 - 6} Let's take a quick breather at number 5, and I can reveal there is a new number 1 single this week. A non-mover at 5 this week, it's the UK's official number 1 from Basshunter... 5 - Basshunter - Now You're Gone {5 - 5} IgFwiCApH7E 4 - Mutya Buena featuring Amy Winehouse - B Boy Baby {1 - 4} 3 - Lupe Fiasco featuring Matthew Santos - Superstar {9 - 3} Z8mUyffw93A An impressive climb of 6 places for Lupe at 3 this week, but its not enough to secure the number 1 spot, look out for this one over the next couple of weeks...... 2 - Adele - Chasing Pavements {19 - 2} qz7vGW2_5c0 A massive climb of 17 places for Adele this week, as she sits in 2nd place. Currently doing battle with Basshunter for number on the Official UK Top 40,could this be a future number 1???? So that's numbers 10-2, lets recap the entire Top 20, before I reveal this weeks brand new number 1 single......

We still have left to reveal those 3 climbers and there is 1 non mover, but is it Mutya Buena with 'B Boy Baby'? Here's the top 10, numbers 10-2, with a recap to follow before revealing this weeks number 1...

Week number 2 and once again, on time, for this bright, sunny Thursday afternoon... This week, its a little bit quiet, however, there are 3 new entries and some massive climbers, all looking for that number 1. So, who says farewell tot he chart this week: Dropouts: 18 - Mutya Buena - Just A Little Bit {RE - 18} 17 - Britney Spears - Gimme More {3 - 2 - 2 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 12 - 12 - 15 - 17} 16 - Sugababes - About You Now {10 - 6 - 3 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 3 - 4 - 8 - 9 - 9 - 13 - 14 - 17 - 16} 3 brand new entries this week and 3 climbers move up the chart today. iTunes Download Chart January 2008
Freemasons have done it again i see...'Work' wouldnt be the hit it looks like becoming without this remix, again like Beyonce/shakira last year, without the remix, i dont think it would have been as big as it was!!!! And :puke: please dear god no, please dont let Nickleback re-enter the top 40, or im leaving the country...actually that may not be such a bad idea......
-
Coronation Street //
i still think the second episode was MUCH better than the first...i just think they could easily have cut all the c**p from both episodes with michelle/david/tina 'chav'/and the factory girls and given the episode more to jack and vera, i would have a dot style two hander instead of the rubbish corrie chose to show instead. i thought vera got a decent exit, and i do admit to crying a little, but the rest of the episode was a let down, i dont care about michelle/steve finding ryan, or vicki's naff knicker party, Corrie gave Alma a great episode when she went, why couldnt they have done the same here and given us more jack and vera, very annoyed, am not watching corrie for rest of 2008!!!! but good luck to liz dawn anyway in the future!!!!
-
Lupe Fiasco Feat. Matthew Santos - Superstar
gutted it only got to number 4 this week...but im sure it will climb over the next few weeks!!!! brilliant song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coronation Street //
Bod, tonights episode is going to be horrible...always when its a popular character they give it the most emotion in the script, and i bet ill cry, though ill try VERY hard not to  But the only problem I have with the first episode is that there's too much else going on, what with the Maria/Liam/Carla, David/Tina and that Michelle/Ryan/other dad storyline. See, this is where EE is better for me, because if its the characters last show, they give them the most episode, i couldn't care less about who's flirting with who, Gail's shock face or steve going on about ryan not being michelle's, its just tedious, and the pointless bits of random 'comedy'. So, hopefully, Liz Dawn's character gets a decent episode for her exit or im boycotting Corrie for the rest of 2008!!!! Anyone else agree or is it just me being morbid????!!!!

The Eastenders Thread
here's something interesting from digitalspy: Two 'EastEnders' actors quit soap Friday, January 18 2008, 09:45 GMT By Kris Green, Soaps Editor Walford actors Rob Kazinsky and Mo George have quit their respective EastEnders roles. Kazinksy – who first appeared as Albert Square's Sean Slater in August last year – has reportedly been taken on by Brad Pitt's agent who has high hopes for him in Hollywood. A source told The Sun: "He's desperate to be a Hollywood star. He's ambitious, which Americans love, and easy on the eye – the first thing that Hollywood producers look at." The 24-year-old actor will remain filming at the soap's Elstree home until October, continuing on-screen until the end of the year. The fate of his character has yet to be decided. Meanwhile, Mo George – who has played market sweeper Gus Smith since 2002 – has agreed to bow out of the BBC soap by "mutual consent". Of his exit, a BBC spokeswoman said: "As the character did not have any big plots coming up it was agreed Mohammed would leave. He is in talks with the BBC about other projects." Both actors were suspended from the show for two months in the early part of last year – Kazinsky for sending lewd text messages to a model and George over suspicion of causing actual bodily harm to partner Emma Archibald. TBH, honest Gus has been deadwood since 2005, his exit was inevitable at some point. Though i'm surprised Rob Kazinsky's quitting after only 1/2 years, but his exit could be interesting...either a drwan out death scene or one of those rubbish exit by tube/taxi
