Hello to everyone and welcome to the brand new countdown :cheer: Apologies for a lack of chart action last week, but I have been so busy working and earning money that I didn't have time to post the chart. To catch up, last week The Noisettes claimed their 3rd week at number which gives them the title of longest running number one of 2009 so far. but can they make it to 4 weeks this afternoon. New entries last week included Britney Spears, Bat For Lashes, Depeche Mode, Tinchy Strider and Ercola, as well as a re-entry for T.I. This week, the fight for number one is the closest fought battle of 2009, the top two is very very very very tight, so stay here to find out who will take the top spot. Apparently, this is the official video for the track, which i think is correct seeing as the track has a release date of May 25th but anyway... c3F5VN6XYhs If this IS the official video, then I think it is amazing, beautiful and fits the track perfectly, it looks too good and cinematic to be a fake video, but what does everyone think, I really would love for thi to get to number 1 but if it doesn't get top 40 at least, I will be devastated, easily best song of 2009 so far for me

Release, subject to possible change, has been confirmed as MAY 25TH 2009!!!! I'm glad they are releasing it then cos I was expecting a July/August release but maybe they want to get album sales up I want this tack to do so well, fingers crossed for an amazing video and a top 40 placing at least, this record deserves to be HUGE!!!!!

Totally didn't see that coming but I'm thrilled, at last a great new band getting some recognition from the sheep like British public Fingers crossed for number one on Sunday, that would make my year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best song of 2009 so far for me, I love this song so much, just imagine how good it would sound in the summer if we have decent weather, absolutely mesmerizing Can anyone recommend the album, cos I don't know whether to buy this track on it own or go all out and get the whole album

This song is amazing, I absolutely love the track and hope that given the right promo this could easily be a massive summer hit, I imagine the release date would be about June or July Quite possibly, this track could be my fave of 2009 already I love it THAT much And I agree, Royksopp definetly belong in the dance forum :lol:

Here it is then a brand new era for my chart as we go to a fortnightly rundown, welcome to everyone its going to be an interesting year!!!! I'm doing this every 2 weeks due to a lack of time to keep providing a weekly countdown, so expect a lot of movement and plenty of new entries. The science bit for this chart then, there are a massive 12 brand new entries, which include records from Vanessa Jenkins and Bryn West, The Saturdays, September and White Lies. But can Friendly Fires make it to a second week at number one with 'Skeleton Boy' or will we have a new number one???? Here it is then, the brand new chart, and it is a great chart.... :dance:
