Dave's Brand Spanking New Singles Chart (Week 40: 16.10.08)
Good afternoon, and welcome to a landmark, a massive 40 weeks I've been counting down my charts, very exciting, I'm a day early because I may be starting a new job very shortly so I won't have time to do this then, let's get it started then and look at the records that leave the chart to make way for another massive week, 5 brand new entries, so we bid a fond farewell to the following songs: Dropouts: 20 - Gym Class Heroes featuring The Dream - Cookie Jar {20} NEW ENTRY 19 - Bryn Christopher - Smiling {19 - 10 - 5 - 1 - 1 - 5 - 10 - 14 - 15 - 19} 18 - Rihanna - Disturbia {18} NEW ENTRY 17 - Pussycat Dolls - When I Grow Up {2 - 6 - 11 - 14 - 17} 14 - Kings Of Leon - Sex On Fire {14} NEW ENTRY Can Sugababes break the one week curse this week and score a second week at number one???? Well, in a word......NO!!!! 5 new entries enter the chart, there is one climber and a massive 14 records fall down the chart so who has replaced the 'Babes at the top of my chart???? Stay right where you are and you will find out shortly... Normally, I would start the chart with a video from the act at number 20, but this week I'm going straight to this week's first new entry which charts at number 16, so here's the chart from 20 - 17......

You've gotta love Peter Kay  how much does he look like Michelle McManus on the cd cover hehe Go Saturdays, get top 10 please please!!!!

Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008 (Klaas Vocal Edit)
Apparently, and this is according to a site that regularly deletes its physical releases, HMV have this record up for a pysical release on November 3rd, but knowing my luck it won't happen, so many times a physical gets removed from release ahead of its date, but fingers crossed The download is out on October 27th in the Uk, so it makes sense that the physical is a week later

Christian Falk ft Robyn - Dream On
OH MY GOD That radio edit has just made my day, this song is simply stunning, a serious contender for record of the year for me, I absolutely have fallen in love with this record!!!! This deserves number one so much but unfortunately wont be cos its released in a very strong month, the comparison to 'With Every Heartbeat' is so there but this has something a little different i think

The EastEnders Thread
EE is great atm, but I have a few issues I am really really really really getting fed up of seeing Bradley and I just wish the writers would make their minds up and do something interesting with the character I cannot stand his flustered face in every god damn episode, and if i see Max or Jack again, both seemed to have mastered the art of Phil Mitchell style deflating sighing, i will throw my tv out the window, Jo Joyner deserves better storylines instead of this constant rubbish she's had since she started, in my opinion And I am very annoyed at Billy still moping around, that is getting on my nerves, but I love the Archie/Peggy/Ronnie stroyline, now that will be a climax that will be worth watching, I wonder if this could be one of the Xmas stories for this year??? Overall, I'm enjoying EE but there is alot that could be done to improve it, the acting in the Tony/Whitney/Bianca is very good and very strong

Coronation Street //
I actually think this week has been Corrie's strongest for a very very long time, at last we're seeing more storylines involving different characters!! I do still find Katherine Kelly very annoying as Beccy but to her credit, when she does the tougher stuff she is very very good, I cringe when she's overdoing the comedy stuff but the last couple of episodes have been very good. The Janice/Leanne storyline has been developed well, if not with a few flaws but the acting has improved so much and the writers really are doing a great job with the Rosie storyline, I suspect Tony or John Stape have something to do with her disappearence but its not obvious for once which makes a change for Corrie!! I'm very much looking forward to next week's '24'-style story for the demise of one of the characters......

November 3rd 2008!
I;d say Leona will do the best, it is a good song, makes a change to hear something uptempo from an X Factor contestant that isnt c**p, I'd say she could easily be number one Christina and Beyonce will be top 10, possibly top 5, Beyonce I reckon could peak about 2/3 as I think it is a real grower and not your conventional ballad, and if the Freemasons are wheeled out again to remix it than it could even be number one after Leona Scooter and Status Quo do not stand a cat in hell's chance of top 10, maybe top 30 at a push, but it is quite good  Alesha's record is amazing, I love it but unfortunately I don't think it will do that well, I'd love to see it go top 10 but i think it will do top 20 at best, shame

Dave's Brand Spanking New Singles Chart (Week 39: 09.10.08)
Hey everyone and welcome to my latest chart on a very pleasent October afternoon, this is the countdown of the 20 best records of the week according to my good self :naughty: This week sees an impressive 5 brand new entries, all in a pattern that is a little bit unusual, most of the new entries chart outside the top 10 and most of the records are tracks that haven't been able to chart due to the high number of new entries over the past 3 weeks, so this week is going to be very interesting. Here are this week's casualties then: Dropouts: 20 - Little Jackie - The World Should Revolve Around Me {2 - 6 - 8 - 15 - 20 - 20} 19 - Eric Prydz - Pjanoo {4 - 4 - 7 - 14 - 19 - 19} 18 - Steve Mac - Paddy's Revenge {9 - 17 - 18} 17 - Moby featuring Freemasons - Disco Lies {8 - 16 - 17} 16 - Iglu And Hartley - In This City {7 - 15 - 16} Can P!nk make it two weeks at number one or will we have a brand new number one?? There are 5 new entries, 2 climbers, 2 non movers and 11 singles go down, but who will be number one this week, make your guesses now!!!! We kick off the chart with the first of this week's five new entries, in itself an oddity in that there have only been 3 new entries at number 20 in the last 39 weeks. This record got to number 6 in the UK top 40 about a month ago, to find out who it is scroll down a little further, you know you want to.......

Radio 1's Live Lounge Vol. 3!
For good god sake please put Leona's version of Run on one live lounge album already!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that list is pretty good, I love the Streets and there are a couple of real highlights there, this album could make it onto my Xmas list
