  1. Yes, the track is 'Art of Love' and it's on the new album for release on October 23 (after many delays, because Guy kept tweaking it). I heard leaked samples of the tracks a while back, in their unfinished form. Someone had leaked them onto youtube. They weren't there long, but 'Art of Love' was the one that appealed most from the samples. And 'Attention', and 'All To Myself'. There's another single coming, to coincide with the album release. I don't know what it is yet, but apparently it's not 'Art of Love'.

You're right if it rhymes with Cowboy. :)
  3. 'Artwork' was released on August 28. I notice it's #80 on the Itunes album chart right now. I believe Kate Miller-Heidke is in London at the moment. Look out for her - very different and theatrical. I saw Guy Sebastian at a New York club end of April. Hadn't seen him live for a long time. He'll be around in the top half of the world again soon, possibly UK too. See him. Brilliant. This #1 song is far from my favourite of his, but I suppose you can't please all of the people all of the time. I mean, anyone could sing Like It Like That, but a big part of Guy's appeal is that he can sing rings around most people on the planet. Heavy Cross is my favourite from the chart right now. I'm really into vocals lately, tired of manipulated vocals - give me some good singers who can really cut it live.
  4. As everyone knows, Flo Rida joins Jess on 'Running Back'. Anyway, Flo Rida is the support on Beyonce's next Aussie tour. But Flo's popular enough to have his own tour in Australia (2 tracks in the charts right now) and Jess will be the support act on that tour. Her album is still in the charts. Jess is one of the few Idols I ever voted for. She's off to a terrific start in her career.

He's one of the artists I follow a lot and I have him on my Google alerts. so I can tell you the paps never leave him alone and the world seems to hang on every word he tweets. (He's a very clever, witty tweeter). Just for fun, put him on your Google alerts and see. He also does a brilliant blog called Battle Studies, which is the story of the making of his new album as it happens. It's funny how perceptions about artists differ from country to country, and how people miss things depending on what their interests are. An acquaintance recently asked me about one of my favourites, as in 'Whatever happened to him?' I told her the artist in question's latest album had sold 3 x Platinum and he's got a contract for a US release and I'd just bought a ticket to his next concert in February!! But he just hadn't drifted into her circle of interests so to her he'd disappeared. I think it's pretty easy to think artists aren't doing well if they're not doing much in our own country.
  6. I listen online a lot. There are so many, you need to search and find some genres you like, for a start. I like Memphis soul, so one that I listen to is allmemphismusic.com. Their brief is that they play music 'recorded in Memphis, or by Memphis musicians, or songs about Memphis'. They vary the genres and the eras that the music was first recorded. I've heard fantastic music by artists I'd never heard of before. Happy searching.

I don't think he is under-rated in the US. He was awarded 5 Grammys this year and apparently sells heaps. Rolling Stone featured him on the cover of its Rock Gods edition. I think he's the kind of artist that sells steadily all the time without necessarily being high in the charts at any one time. I really like him. Brilliant guitarist and songwriter. He's not my favourite voice but his voice is perfect for what he does.
