Klose is playing, his penalty is over. Ballack isn't even there since he got injured some weeks before the tournament. The team is indeed different from 2 years ago but I wouldn't necessarily say that it got worse with the additions of Özil, Marin, Müller etc. They just need to have a good day. They still are too inconsistent. :/

Maybe I don't know enough about the English team then. :blush: But many of the German players have been playing already 2 and 4 years ago. Most of those that have not have been playing in the U21 team which won the European Cup last year. Others play for Bayern Munich who were in the CL final. So I don't think England has that much of an advantage in that field. Schweinsteiger is looking likely to play, btw. Cacau wouldn't have played anyway now that Klose can play again. I don't agree with that decision at all but that's how it is. And don't get me started about Ballack. Probably the most overrated player ever. I'm actually thankful towards Prince Boateng for injuring him. :lol: About Germany's defense: Lahm and Friedrich are good, Mertesacker and Badstuber are bad. So I guess it's an average defense combined. :P

Where do you get that from? Germany came 3rd in 2006 and 2nd in 2008 while England didn't really come as far (especially in 2008 :P) so the Germans should actually have far more experience. Of course, not all of them have played in 2006 and 2008 but a lot of them have. I agree with the rest of your post and I actually predicted a 2-1 England win but that striked me as wrong.

They were in those three matches but have already shown that they can be a lot better than that in previous matches. Ghana hasn't. At least to me.

But Ghana really isn't that good, IMO. They are pretty harmless in the offense. Look at the many big chances they wasted against Germany. 80% of other teams in this World Cup would have beaten Germany easily with that horrible showing of the defense on Wednesday. Actually, the only 2 goals that they scored have been penalties, IIRC. I don't follow that linke of thinking at all. Are you saying the Germans should have intentionally gone for a draw although they could have won and therefore manipulate the match? THAT would have been stupid. Especially since it was Germany and they already have a black stain in their history because of that. My predictions for tomorrow is a 2-1 for England, btw. :P

Zechonia voted and I can't share the disappointment of a lot of people here at all. :o There is soooo much to love. I could have easily voted for 20 songs, actually. I have 17 songs above 8.0/10 which is a new record, IIRC. (relatively speaking, considering the other finals had less songs) Granted, there is a lot of crap as well but the good far outweighs the bad for me. The decision on the top pointer has never been so easy for me, though. It just had to be that song. Song is almost an understatement. :wub:

Wow. Some of you have a 10/10 inflation. :lol: I rate them like that as well but in the last 10 contests there were at best 5 10/10s for me. I mean, 10 out of 10 basically means that it can't be topped, it can't get any better. Are those songs really songs that couldn't be any better? :P

Btw, one of Uruguay, South Korea, Ghana and USA will definitely be in the semifinal.
