100% agree. I'm torn between being pleased that SOMEONE is still trying to keep 'R&B' R&B, and the fact that it's not particularly a strong track by any standard. My guess (or hope) is that there WILL be a few strong, REAL R&B cuts on the album....although you can bet those aren't the cuts that will be promoted....

Hoping the whole album isn't set in that retro mold. As much as I like 'Give It To Me Right', it's gonna REALLY take something special for anyone to have any real impact playing the Amy Winehouse card anymore...at least here in the States. Then again, I DO think Melanie's voice is quite 'special'....

considering who's involved, I don't know how much better it would've been if they'd taken some more time....but for now, the fact that it came out so fast serves as a perfect excuse as to why it's so craptastic :P

Definately one of the better cuts on the album. I agree, it should have been released sooner....I don't think it'll have much impact at this point, but it'd be cool to be wrong!

Yeah...the Bad Boy rep who accompanied her to that interview got his walking papers for not doing something to stop it... Personally I thought it was a bit disrespectful, but the message had plenty of truth to it. She kinda needs to sit down if this is all she's got...
