I liked the first two songs :) Length isn't an issue for me necessarily as one of my favourite songs (Burzum - Det Som En Gang Var) is nearing to 15 minutes long.

I don't know what it is about Opeth but I just can't seem to get into them :huh: I find their songs quite bland in all honesty, are there any heavier songs of theirs I should try?

Carpathian Forest are a great band. And yeah I guess some people can see them as Black Still, but when I talk about black metal. I refer to kvlt true black metal, if that makes sense to you.

I suppose the closest to melody you'll get from BM is Burzums ambient albums such as Daudi Baldrs or Hlidskjalf :P

Just a question, I'm curious if there are any people on buzzjack at all who like Black Metal? I'm not talking about Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth or Cradle of Filth (although they all started out as BM bands) I'm talking about true KVLT bands such as Nargaroth, Burzum, Gorgoroth, Darkthrone, Satyricon, 1349, IMMORTAL? Alternatively, are there any DSBM (Depressive/Suicidal Black Metal) fans out there. Bands such as Xasthur, Nocturnal Depression and Sui Caedere? Discuss.......
