It's not that ridiculous; he means lead single, and is talking about now in the UK. RR's performance in the US isn't relevant.

SPV8pRjd98A New track called 'My Home' that Pixie wrote for her sister's wedding and tweeted today. Really sweet; reminds me of the 'Turn It Up' days! Apparently the next thing we hear will be from the third album :cheer:

Pixie Lott - Nasty
Why do you think it will be a ballad? Previously her first two singles ('Mama Do' & 'Boys and Girls', and AAT and WDYTMF) have been mid-tempo or uptempo so I imagine it will be the same again. Surely it can't flop more than the last one  She's been working on this album for so long that anything other than an amazing first single will be disappointing.

An album of covers? Poor guy

I like it but it doesn't sound like a lead single to me. What TV promo do they have coming up this week?

Icona Pop - Girlfriend
'Limp' is definitely the word unfortunately :( I had high hopes, especially after hearing what they had sampled, and am disappointed with this effort.

Tweet from Mercury Music suggesting that what The Sun reported is false.

Pixie Lott - Can't Make This Over.
I think it's fair to assume that this release has been cancelled. They have, without fail, promoted every other single on TV, radio and online. Pixie hasn't even tweeted about this since she said she was doing the video. Although I would have liked CH to have been released, she's been promoting the album for nearly two years - it's time to move on. I think the UK campaign is over. Can't wait for the next album

Far East Movement - Like a G6
Anywhere from #1 to #10, depending on the release date.

Alexandra Burke - The Silence
I'm in the UK at the moment! The video is not as bad as SWY was, but I was a bit disappointed. It's all in B&W which is quite refreshing, but the scenes are a little boring and lifeless. She also seems to be wearing a man's shirt at one point, and it really doesn't work! I don't think the track has changed at all from the album version?!

Just seen the video on TV

Pixie Lott - Broken Arrow
I don't think the re-release is about singles, I think they want the album to go 3 x Platinum and get a Top 5 peak. It's sold 600,000 copies, and hasn't reached the Top 5, while some other UK females have sold less than 50% of that and got #1s.

Pixie Lott's dissapointing First US single out tommorow
It's been confirmed, but it's obviously a buzz single. They will definitely use a track featuring someone to break her.

iTunes Chart: August 2010 (II)
It can help or hinder. The US is such a massive market that it can pay off greatly over there, but it's almost always different story in the UK.

Ke$ha also did the same with 'TiK ToK'! There's definitely a reason to offer free downloads, but I always find giving away lead singles very odd! I wish Eminem and Rihanna could have got their #1! Maybe if they promoted it...

I wonder who will be #1 - Katy Perry or Katy Perry?
-
iTunes Chart // June III
She's actually quite far away from Top 10, so I'm not sure she'll get there before Sunday. Jason is up to #7, Pixie is now at #8.

Pixie said that they weren't really worried about where 'Gravity' charted because it was released to sell the album. 'Turn It Up' is obviously a lot more commercial and radio friendly, so they might be going for another hit. Having said that, it's not doing well on the airplay - however radio friendly, it's a fifth single. I think the promotion has stopped at BGT, GMTV and Loose Women, as she's in New York B)
