It's Lady Gaga, and Beyonce - the most popular artists in the world, and the artists who have the most consistently fantastic videos in the world. They can perform this anywhere they choose, because no one will ever turn them down. Certain #1 at some point. If not, it will still be a huge seller. Who even cares what is sounds like? (Having said that, it's very good)

Not even Top 100 last week, and The Saturdays should be the kind of artists cashing in after, let alone before, Christmas when young kids have money to spend.

Thanks for the updates. Wasn't sure The Saturdays would do it, but it looks good! I hope they don't lose steam on physicals because of the snow, though. Glad to see Pixie's album staying Top 15 for another week, hopefully she can go Top 10 next week. JLS have sold like crazy, but sales seem to be in plummet mode

Top 5. The song isn't bad, and they are going to be promoting like crazy if they are launching the album on the back of this. I get the feeling that this is going to be big on Radio 1, as well.

Top 3, because of the huge, extremely "dedicated" fanbase. #1 if Owl City is brought forward, though.

I don't think it will get in the Top 10 early enough for it to get a boost tonight. I also suspect that people will be enjoying the snow tomorrow, and it will be a weak day of downloads. Let's keep our fingers crossed. The Saturdays aren't favourites of mine, but I don't want them to be dropped and replaced by worse.

I think they will be too late to make it in the officials, at least this week

Can I have Pixie's positions for album and single? Thank you :)
  9. Justin T is featured on too many records now... get back to solo stuff!

I'm pleased 'Replay' looks set for the #1. It is probably the best of an average bunch of contenders this week. I think it is going to have a few weeks at #1, to be honest.
  11. Great album climbs for Pixie and Paolo!
  12. Paolo #1 Albums :o
  13. I'm not actually listening to the chart. Any mention of the album chart yet?

Can people stop arguing, please. Debating is fine, and all opinions are valid, but squabbling like little kids and ruining the thread is not. I doubt this GA Campaign will work. Facebook campaigns will be the in thing for about three weeks, and then everyone will get sick of them because they have a million songs to download each week. Fad.

I have Sidney at #2 and Iyaz at #5 on my feed. See post above

Sidney Samson has got such huge support from Radio 1, that is another reason for this success. I would like Iyaz to be #1, purely because it is catchy - and that one feature makes it better than the other contenders for #1, which are all tripe.

Pretty much everyone who has ever met her has said that! <_<
  18. Any news on whether Flo is to be nominated as a soloist or a group yet?

I wonder how it is going to do next week - I'm not sure it will breakthrough into the Top 10 on iTunes. What is going on with the physical?

As I said, "I totally agree that Cheryl's album was rushed" -_- Maybe you didn't understand me. It took no more than one day to film that advert. Therefore, that's like saying all those factors in her busy schedule, and then saying "she also had a day off for her Christmas shopping". It's one day, and doesn't prove or disprove that her album was rushed. The evidence that her album was put together too quickly is that the whole project in terms of Cheryl's input was started and finished in three weeks.

This. A summer release is way too early - they don't want to be The Saturdays #2, and there does need to be some space between campaigns. I doubt they will do more than one single before the album, as well.

It's probably not true, because I'm sure they can use Nadine to flog a few records, but the music industry isn't about the best voice. If there was only room for one Girls Aloud soloist, Cheryl would be a way more exciting business prospect because she is adored as a national treasure and is very popular. Nadine, on the other hand, isn't that widely known to non-GA fans and non-teenage girls - probably the least well known member of GA.

I totally agree that Cheryl's album was rushed, but people can't use the fact that she filmed an advert as evidence for that!

I'm quite pleased that Flo has done well with this, but I do resent the fact that there has been very little press about it mentioning that a) it's a cover and B) that it sounds very similar to the original. If most other female artists, with similar standard voices, had released this, they would have been slated for being a cheap tribute act. I dislike the auto credibility she has. What a quick rise, though!
