'Stargazer' is my favourite as well! I think this is a great choice, but it would have been even better if they could have pushed the whole thing back to 'New York' was released at Christmas! Very surprised the label are still treating her so well - I really hope this can sell a few copies of the album so she can continue her brilliant work!

Everyone stop pretending you really care about the quality of the music. If you all wanted the greatest songs to be #1 each week, the chart would, other than a few noughties tracks, be made up of music created decades ago! It's not ideal that this charity single is going to represent British music for a week, but it's for a brilliant cause that's message should come far above silly hang ups like that. The real question is Children In Need or X Factor? I know which song I'll be downloading tomorrow!

Peter Kay should be #1 next week. I'm not sure how realistic topping the chart this week is, but we can hope! Any sign of a boost for JLS?

I think most tracks from reality TV artists can be discounted (e.g. the winner's song), and would say that total sales (minus the first week) is probably the best indication. Next would be how many copies the track is selling five years on, and whether or not it still gets occasional airplay in the decade after release.

Pixie is in the Live Lounge this week. I know it's best for albums, but does anyone know how much it boosts an individual track usually? Obviously, I'm assuming she will sing CMO.

There is no need to analyse which of Leona's tracks are selling more than others. With the "Complete My Album" function, the casual fan usually just downloads a few random tracks they like the sound of. It's just a way of checking if you want to get the whole album. Some songs always do a little better than others. Also, a few songs usually have a little buzz about them, or the name is familiar. The main point is that the sales a so tiny at this stage, it doesn't matter at all. Leona's second single will perform well with the promo and airplay it will receive.

I doubt it, to be honest. I know they benefit from huge physical sales (every single supermarket it seems!) but they are only outselling BEP by 1:2 on iTunes. If BEP sell 40k downloads this week, XFF, with the lead growing over the week, may sell about 120k. I don't think they could make up 200k gap purely on physicals! Having said that, it is risky to underestimate the power of X Factor this year.

Britster, you are not told enough how valuable you are! Thank you so much for the continued effort with pop bars! :) Huge gap between #11 and #10 - doubt anyone else will enter it this week, unless Shakira keeps rising!
