  1. I'm so nervous.
  2. GO ROBBIE!
  3. Chipmunk down 11? I didn't know it was that severe! Reggie is worse than usual this week
  4. She is singing 'Cry Me Out' in Live Lounge soon, so I guess she'll have another shot at it then. I am praying they get her to voice rest - that version didn't do her any justice.
  5. Can't believe someone threw that hoop thing at her when she was singing this! Apparently, she is still suffering from bronchitis - the label need to give her a few days off. Very surprised it has debuted so high!

There is very little anticipation for these two. Timbaland will debut higher, and sell more over time.

Pixie... hope she stops falling soon :( Thank god there is so much promo this week!

It won't sell as well as last year (downloads or physical), but it will still be huge. ... and if anyone is going to be beat X Factor, it's not Jason DeRulo :(

I hope Jason can get to #2, but he has no chance of #1. X Factor Charity Single will go crazy after it has been performed tonight :( Why don't all the judges just give £1 million to charity rather than getting the public to? Thank god for BEP this week or I would have to return to the USA.

:heehee: That's because it doesn't need any other than that and the performance. That's the whole point of this outcry, X Factor is all the promo anyone could ever need.

You would recognise the chorus because it samples an Imogen Heap song! It's a good song, and I think it is a real contender for Top 3. It reached #1 in the US and would do the same here if it weren't for XFF or BEP!

It doesn't matter. The only reason it wouldn't be released tonight would be due to technical faults.

Pixie has done brilliantly, really. I don't think anyone expected her to do as well as she has. Two number one singles and a Gold certified album - who saw that coming? Maybe her singles and album haven't sold ridiculous amounts of copies, but she has built a large fanbase and has really got her name out there. She has secured exceptional foundations for her future in music. Unlike Little Boots and Florence, Pixie came from nowhere. She had never toured or released buzz singles before 'Mama Do', so her success has been a big surprise. If anyone hasn't done so well, it's Little Boots. I think 'Hands' will be her best selling album.

'Earthquake' is flopping because Little Boots is not promoting it. I've heard it on the radio enough times, but it won't do anything unless she or label really go after a hit. 'Remedy' proved that there is space for her, and there is - especially with Florence essentially being an albums artist. She's not the harsh, wacky La Roux, and she's not the perfect-pop-princess Pixie. Do some promo or watch it flop.

Record labels are often quite unforgiving when it comes to young artists. For a new artist to be successful, they will usually have to work all day, everyday (including weekends) for months, with only a few days off. As a teenage solo artist, especially, it's quite a lonely experience, as often the label will only allow a guardian to travel with the act, if that. Being a recording artist is also tiring and stressful during release periods. Chipmunk certainly doesn't have it easy, but he should be thankful he isn't having to travel abroad too much as that can really send these kids crazy.

XFF, Jason and BEP will probably make up the Top 3, with Rihanna in the Top 5 and Alesha in the Top 10. Unsure if Agnes will break the Top 20.

Slightly melodramatic there. Calm down. Leona's album is still going to the top, even if the single can't manage it. Sorry if I made a mistake about the advert. I have seen the large Leona one all week, but not the secondary link. Still, the point remains. Simon really does care about this campaign, and has made a few mistakes. EDIT: Look back at my posts, I'm obviously not a Leona hater. I think 'Happy' is a great track, and there is no question she is a fantastic artist. Also, Simon Cowell obviously isn't going to "fix" the charts - I was just making the point that Leona is still being pushed.

    Very true.

Link to download 'Happy' on iTunes homepage. Maybe Simon cares more than we thought.

    :o BEP!

The figures your quoted are for singles. 300.000 albums are required for Platinum. Domestic shippings and sales are always very similar - what is shipped is always sold.

    No - X Factor Charity Single :(

'Echo' will be massive, it goes without saying. I am still surprised at 'Happy' not doing better though. A few weeks ago, many people on here were predicting it would sell over 200k!

Maybe Leona is going to be an albums artist from now on. Her label can't expect her to have huge single after huge single if they consistently release ballads.
  25. Kat, thanks for your input but I don't think you need to keep posting the same, re-worded opinions! Welcome to the forum :) EDIT: Make sure you get your facts right on here - some people know everything! JLS certainly have not have the biggest selling single of the year!
