iTunes Chart : November III
Looks like Ke$ha is catching up Britney. I wonder how she will hold up for her physical release on November 30th!

iTunes Chart : November III
I am a Pixie fan. I should be following Pixie's progress... When on earth did she creep up to #21 on the iTunes Chart? This thread has not been the same since the whole Leona vs. BEP!

iTunes Chart : November III
I will never stop being amazed at how much people can listen to a song on this forum! 60 times? I would go crazy if I heard a song that many times in a week! 'Happy' was brilliant after the 2nd listen for me, but I'm not sure it reaches the dizzy heights of 'Bleeding Love'! I am now sure I would like BEP to get the #1! They have been so relevant this year, and a third chart topper would secure their place as one of the greatest acts of this decade... Leona already has her place.

Sunday Chart Predictions
I don't think that anyone can deny that the US success of 'Bleeding Love' was heavily influenced Simon Cowell. It's a great song, but it takes a lot more than a great song to crack America.

PREDICT: Lady GaGa - Bad Romance
Most people here will be too subjective with this video. If you love Gaga, you'll love the video, if you don't love Gaga, you won't love the video. In my opinion, half of the video is utterly superb and half is a tiny bit patchy. The concept of the video is executed perfectly, but the concept is lacking itself. I don't know if it was her or the label, but someone in the machine wanted this video to be more SHOCK! than substance. Luckily, the video is beautifully crafted and she is exceptional. I think this will go Top 3.

'Echo' won't flop! I was saying that if Leona gets a #2, she doesn't deserve bashing from the tabloids who will instantly brand her second effort a flop before it is even released!

iTunes Chart : November III
I really like both songs in this chart battle! Two of the best videos of the year, as well. 'Happy' is only second to 'Bleeding Love', for me. I think Leona has worked hard for this album, and she doesn't deserve to be branded a sophomore flop by all the tabloids, just because of the JLS/Cheryl/Alexandra success. However, it would be incredible for BEP to end this decade by breaking even more records, so maybe I slightly favour them. Really pleased there is going to be at least one fun week this X Factor season! Edit: Pixie & Robbie :) :o 'Cry Me Out' deserves Top 5 in a few weeks! I love it so much!

Don't forget that MMHW will be in all the clubs on Friday night, and 'Happy' probably won't. Even that could tip the balance this week!

Which "twist" number 1 single do you WANT for Nov/Dec 2009?
Not sure if that Peter Kay charity track really has a chance unless it is huge. No one has heard it 13 days before release? Alarm bells should be ringing if it is supposed to topple an X Factor Charity single! I think RiRi and Gaga both have chances, especially if they are confirmed for X Factor. I would hope that Pixie could sneak in one week, but I don't think the promo is going be anywhere near substantial enough in release week.

Robbie will get the #1 album this week. No question. Can I have position for Pixie - 'Turn It Up', please. Thank you :)

Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out
I just got to 'Mama Do' on this recording from Switch... I love how much everyone is singing along! She is so much more popular outside forum world!

iTunes Chart : November II
'Watcha Say' will be a hit, not a surprise hit.
-
Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out
Why  ? Some people I know who were producing the event said that she and Black Eyed Peas were head and shoulders above the rest, and Alexandra was also solid. The same can't be said for The Saturdays though, apparently.

Top 75 Singles/Albums + Comps
Joss Stone doesn't seem to care about the UK market. She doesn't want the fame or the lifestyle of a celebrity over here, so doesn't seem to want to do any promo for the album (other than what she is contracted to do). I'm sure they could have got her on X Factor, Live Lounge or Jonathan Ross if she had even shown interest in her campaign. If she does start caring, she will make it go Platinum.

Early reports from Switch Live suggest BEP will be sustaining high sales this week, along with Pixie and Alexandra.

I love the tracks by Leona, Ke$ha, Sugababes and Britney - I think I want Ke$ha to get it, but I'm sure Leona will. They will chart in this order: #1 Leona #2 Ke$ha #4 Britney #6 Sugababes

Predict - Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out
'Here We Go Again' and 'Turn It Up' can still be released, reach the top 10 and sell more albums. Pixie has said there will be a fifth single, and then I guess a sixth if they release a deluxe edition (unlikely for at least six months). This will reach the Top 10, and stay around for four/five weeks. It could edge into the Top 5 in the physical week.

Predict - Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out
How ridiculous to accuse people of making up certifications. There is never any need to guess or make up a certification, you can check them all on the BPI website. For albums, it's very true that they don't mean an awful lot, but albums nealy always fulfil an early certification with the sales. If we were in 2010 and the album was Gold but had only sold 77k, then it is reasonable to say the certification is wrong, but it's not as if Pixie won't sell at least another 30k before Christmas.
-
Predict - Pixie Lott - Cry Me Out
I don't want to go off topic but I'll have to, just quickly! The album has sold 77k, but it certified Gold because it has shipped 100k. Basically, retailers expect it to sell the 23k surplus in the next few months, and that is why they have the stock. I wouldn't say it has done badly at all, although it obviously hasn't had the same success as the singles. Realistically though, it's from a debut artist who hasn't toured and has been around less than six months. There was no loyal fanbase before she was launched in June. Most, but not all, of Pixie's fans are of the age where they might have to save up for an album - so it was never going to an overnight success. All the promo has been very specific to the singles, not the album. Since it's been out the label have moved the focus to the world market. Obviously, we can now see why this is, as they are going down the Christmas-push route. 'Turn It Up' can never be calleld a flop, but we'll have to wait and see if it will be a big success.

Holy crap at Ke$ha - why did the rush release? I love how right I was about her being in with a shot for #1 if she was released 30th November! Very surprised at Pixie's performance as well! I haven't even heard it on the radio yet!

Of course it's not over. I'm sure it will reach the Top 40. It's a disaster if it doesn't. But a hit for a solid, catchy song from an established artist is Top 10.
-
iTunes Chart // November I
Surely even massive Little Boots fans don't believe this? If it was one of the catchiest and best songs, it would be in the Top 10 on iTunes. It's not by some new, obscure artist, the success of 'Remedy' proves she can have a hit. If a hit is followed up by a "one of the catchiest and best songs released" in a certain year, it will be another hit.

I would have thought they would move the physical forward by at least a week. It will still be Top 5 if the physical stays the same date, but I'm not sure it will challenge for #1. Shame. X Factor Charity Single - :( X Factor - :snif:
