If it wasn't for the X Factor, I think they probably would have pushed it for Christmas #1 and released the physical later. I agree, this is a classic winter ballad. It's my favourite Pixie song at the moment.

I sort of know what you mean with the three big notes in the chorus. I think the songs (and vocals) are in totally different leagues though, although don't want to start a fight with anyone!

I was laughed at for saying Ke$ha has a chance of #1 last week! It will be #1, I can just tell. + Very happy for 'Cry Me Out' - nice, steady progression is what I like to see!

Obviously the main purpose of this as single three is to sell the album, not 'Cry Me Out' itself. I'm sure it will go Top 10, confident Top 5, and boost the album back into the Top 20. Better than 'Mama Do' and 'Boys & Girls', for me.

I think the radio support is going to be strong as always, so she probably has a good shot at Top 5. There are so many big releases that it's hard to keep track! An X Factor performance would send this straight to #1, as she would nail it, but I don't think they would showcase her! Without it, she won't reach #1 because of the X Factor finalists or Ke$ha. I know she is going Children In Need and Live Lounge though. I think the video is beautiful, stylish and classy, but don't think it wil have a wide appeal. Prediction: High Selling Top 3

Please may have the Pixie & Paloma positions (albums + singles)? Thank you very much! :)

Well the best post of all time might include all the extras like your avatar and signature... but I was just making sure that you knew that the content of the post was incredible, not the dressings!
  8. Guru posted a post in a topic in UK Charts
The signature is NOT included... The Veronicas are terrible.

This is a contender for best post of all time. (EDIT: Signature not included)

I know, these chart invasions in the US need to be controlled somehow! Whoever is talking, Taylor Swift does not have four of the best ten songs available on iTunes in the US!
  11. Little Boots - NIT / Remedy Ke$ha - Tik Tok Britney - Break The Ice Alexandra Burke - Bad Boys Guettakon - Sexy Chick

Now you have started these, you can never stop! They are so entertaining it is unreal. Thank you!
  14. I want this to go Top 20 just to teach their label the lesson that you shouldn't release a truly terrible song before a decent one. I think it will go Top 10, I haven't seen the video or heard it a lot, and there isn't much of a buzz so I can't see Top 3 unless the promo starts soon. A rush release would have been wiser in my eyes, after the huge frenzy due to the re-shuffle.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for that animation. I  you.

Please can I have the Pixie B&G position, and know if TIU is album Top 40? Thank you :)

I like this so much more than the previously billed 2nd single, but I still feel it's a step down from the LICM work.

Ke$ha is getting huge video airplay, and if radio stations follow she will be in contention for #1. The song is selling itself, people love it and love her, and any promo she does will only fuel this. She's in the US iTunes Top 10 without doing any major promo, so why can't she do it here?

I think it's crazy to cast 'Bad Romance' off as not doing very well. The chart is saturated with big releases at the moment, Jay Sean won't even repeat his international success in his own country, let alone Gaga instantly rising into the Top 3/5/10. Give her time to spread the word, and the radio stations time to increase the airplay, and it will do brilliantly.

The Saturdays would have been fine if they released in January, but I'm not so sure about their future unless 'Ego' does some serious business. Number One Calendar - Cheryl JLS Leona X Factor Finalists Ke$ha* X Factor Winner *Hard to know how much of a possibility this is, but I think the label are going reasonably promo heavy and if they do it has a fair chance

Cheryl's album is terrible. I should have known, but I'm still devastated!

The album has apparently been certified Gold now :)
  23. Ke$ha :)
  24. Bubbel G?

I agree that a hit should be defined by sales in most cases. BUT, so much music is available each week that Top 40 is a hit for the vast majority of artists. Top 5, pretty much regardless of sales, is, and should be, considered a big hit by most music fans, artists and labels. Number One, or sales over 250k in the first 6 months, is very rare, and thus surely can be considered a massive hit.
