Someone from Universal emailed me saying Pixie sold 25k albums! Surely that cannot be possible if she missed the top 5? <_<

I think music channels got it yesterday, I've seen it a good few times in the last 24 hours! Loving this song, I think it will get in the Top 20, but with even a little promo push, Top 5. :yahoo: The voice has suffered, but Whit is back! :D

I predicted it would reach Top 5. Although, #1 would be nice, it's not going to happen! :mellow:

#1 - the majority of the big artists are promoting this and the Tinchy, N-Dubz and Chipmunk fans are stupidly loyal. I'm sure it will sell 350k in the first few weeks. I'm pleased though, good cause.

Great Pop Track + Cheap Video = Top 3

This video adds meaning to the verses, but that chorus cannot be saved! Alexandra looks a lot more than curvy! Needs to watch what she eats because it looks as though she has real trouble keeping the weight off!

This is said everytime a release does this, but it happens so often now! It even happened last week with 'Boys & Girls'!

Jay-Z is not without promotion. He's been on Radio 1 all week (including the Live Lounge), he was on Jonathan Ross last night and there was a documentary about him on BBC 1.

This song has really disappointed me. I love Alexandra, but this is totally the wrong thing to release. Don't even get me started on the artwork. I really hope they haven't started as they mean to go on. :( :puke2: I'm sure the album will be decent though. Obviously it will be #1, but I don't think it will sell much over 400k in it's first 12 months, unlike Leona with her 2 million! I have good feelings about the songs 'They Don't Know', 'You Broke My Heart' and 'All Night Long' - praying my instincts don't deceive me! :D

Premiere was this morning on C4. It has now been added to all the music channels and is getting heavy rotation! Hopefully it will peak high and then drop out the chart. I want 'Disappear' to be massive! :)

Surely her label are hoping for the album to reach a peak at another point over the next 12 months. They haven't poured all the money into this just to spawn two hits and do barely any promo for the actual album. I think they are either going to save sales until the Christmas build up or have a drive for a deluxe version of some sort. There is no way they are letting this album only reach #6! :unsure: Cannot believe Peter Andre's sales! Anyone else expecting him to vanish next week? :P

You are right that 'Boys and Girls' will have dropped considerably in chart position this week, but I don't think the sales will be hugely different from last week's very poor performance. Pixie was #1 rather than #3 last week because of so much signing in HMV stores and thus physicals selling very well. Guetta and Jay-Z were destined to take over her, but big releases from Madonna, Taio and Shakira are the reason she will be at #6 rather than #3. I agree about the release of 'Sexy Chick' being the superior style, but if a record label wants a #1, they will do anything get one and I don't think things are going to change anytime soon. Unfortunately, 'Sexy Chick' is a dire song.

It's good, but no song is too good to get into the top 10.

Pixie will get to #1, I think she'll beat Guetta by about 600 copies! Surely whoever wins there will be nothing in it!

I have no doubt they will be replaced by something more accurate... but this is very annoying!

I'm sure X Factor did have an impact, but I have seen Pixie on three TV shows today so I think they will have also sourced some sales! Maybe she is being played on X Factor because of the song she has on Alexandra's album... Simon and Pixie cut a little deal :P

An article in The Sun yesterday said Pixie was 3,000 ahead of Guetta! Going to be close! Go Pixie! :cheer:

How many more will Guetta sell than Pixie tomorrow (+ sales from today) do you think?
