i saw The Datsuns in boston recently and they were great! unfortunately, the rest of the crowd wasn't really into them..it really ruined the whole experience! was anyone else at T.T. Bears that night?? check out this review if you missed it...it was really too bad...

Anyone who likes acoustic, indie music, should check out Aimee Mann. She reminds me a lot of Joni Mitchell. I got to see her Saturday night in Lowell, MA, and it was a great show. Here's a review of the concert: Aimee Mann engages fans in Lowell
  3. Couldn't agree more about Soulja Boy; he's single handedly destroying the pop music scene. Also, the auto-tune got snubbed. Now singers don't even have to have a sense of pitch!

Greatest video ever, imo, Peter Gabriel's Sledgehammer. If someone could upload that video for me, I'd really appreciate it. I don't even have enough posts yet to include URLs.
  5. The musicianship of old bands is just so far superior to most popular groups today. That's why I've gotten into the jam band scene recently. Groups like Umphrey's McGee, Medeski Martin & Wood, and Soulive, are definitely very talented. But pop music doesn't have to be talentless. One guy who is talented is John Mayer, like his music or not. He's one hell of a blues guitar player.
  6. Pop punk is too whiny for me. It certainly leans a lot more towards pop than it does punk.
  7. Terry Kath (guitarist from the original line up of Chicago) got snubbed. 25 or 6 to 4 is a great example of the guy's skill.
